Ridiculous offer from Virtual

For some reason Virtual Danny can't open an account here. Here is his response:

Every year, amongst other important subjects dear to my heart, I bring attention to 911. Not a year has gone by that I have not. The only way I can bring any attention to it, and any other important subject obviously is to do it through my promotions. I'm from New York, my sister was there when it happened 3 blocks away and just got out so don't for once think you got me all figured out. Don't for once think I did this promotion for a deposit. I shed light where I feel it needs to be, I keep players thinking and remembering what it is they need to remember. I try to do good where I can as well, unlike others. Do you not see my pledge to The Red Cross???? Were you guys also upset at my Katrina Promotion where we pledged??? If you don't like something I'm only an email away. All you have to do is tell me and then I can explain my reasons and then you can make your judgments. It boggles my mind that not one of you took the time to email me your opinion so as I may have had the chance to explain to you why I did the promotion in the first place. Casino Meister was the only one that cared enough to email me. 911 is dear to my heart and this is the only way I can shed light on it.

RTG's CEO said he was looking into this as well.

@VWM - yank their license? What license? They don't need no "steenking" license... :D

I nominate it for the "Most tasteless promotion of 2007" prize.

I strongly second that nomination - this has to be the most insensitive, stupid promo I've seen in a long time and it does nothing for the industry....and certainly nothing but damage to what little reputation RTG and Virtual have left.

PS And the rationalisation for this abomination from Danny Virtual is imo totally unacceptable and without credibility.

Virtual and Danny... BOTH LOW LIFE SCUM...

That GOOF Danny "justifies" this disgusting and insulting promotion?

Danny stated:

It boggles my mind that not one of you took the time to email me your opinion so as I may have had the chance to explain to you why I did the promotion in the first place.

Why would anyone e-mail YOU??

You probably would put their e-mail addy on your SPAM LIST.

And who cares "WHY" you did this promotion... and what your convoluted logic was for doing it?

You, Danny... just like the casino you work for... are nothing but low life scum.

TOTALLY TASTELESS

The Virtual online casino group shoots itself in the foot again

When it comes to reputation, few online casino groups are regarded by the player community in as bad a light as the RTG-powered and Costa Rican based Virtual group. Despite constant player complaints and reports of questionable behaviour, this group continues to apparently flourish, suggesting that many players do not research before handing their cash over.

This week the group reached an all-time low and was at the centre of criticism from outraged players across the planet. The cause? An ill-advised and totally insensitive attempt to launch a promotion based on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the USA, where thousands of innocent victims died.

"Danny Virtual" used an email to draw attention to the international tragedy with some emotive wording before inviting recipients to take advantage of his cynical "911% Twin Towering Total Bonus."

Stunned players and industry observers were universal in condemning the attempt to exploit a human tragedy that is still a source of deep sadness and outrage, and a Dutch player probably summed it up in saying:

"This day is the day of mourning to remember the victims and their families. I think this casino is crossing the red line because it is not a day for enjoying games. It is the day to remember those who were gone and praying for them. God bless the victims."

RealTime Gaming CEO Mike McMain, contacted on the issue said he would "look into it," but Danny Virtual himself was unrepentant, claiming that this was his company's way of 'reminding' people about the tragedy.

He wrote: "Every year, amongst other important subjects dear to my heart, I bring attention to 911" and "911 is dear to my heart and this is the only way I can shed light on it." His rationalisation for an incredibly offensive promotion only added fuel to the fire as criticism continued.

One poster suggested that the Virtual action qualified as "Most tasteless promo of 2007," which probably sums up this ill-advised blunder to perfection.

Dany continue to be unrepantant. We were in the church yesterday in Holland to light a candles for victims not to search for your bonus.

What Mr Dany if he come with Holocaust coupons like holocaust100 or Holocaust 200 ?

You have to be ashame for this and you have to present your excuses for the victims and then the players rather then posting your post here.

danny writes "not a year has gone by".... all 7 of them? he didnt even get the date right. how bout someone proofreading that garbage before it goes to circulation? a dollar a deposit to red cross? ohhh how generous. how bout sending them all the player money that was confiscated due to "bonus abuse" in the past? as stated before, he better hope we never meet.

If trying to personally gain from this tragedy is the "only way you can bring it into light" than you seriously need to do some soul searching here.

Wow, a whole DOLLAR per depositor. If 100 people are stupid enough to deposit for your sick and disgusting promo, The Red Cross will receive a whopping $200. WOW. You generous man.

You continue to do whatever you can to rip players off. Non-payments, run arounds, but this.... well, this is as LOW AS IT GETS! This is sick and digusting. You don't care about 9/11, Danny, you can't even get the damn date right! If you wanted to shed light on 911 a simple email WITHOUT any kind of bonus or anything buisness related would have been good enough. But no, you're all about financial gain. You can deny it all you want, but you and your group of scum bag casino's are as transparant as air.

What goes around, comes around. I sure hope no one tries to make a buck when you die.

9/11 was a sick and senseless tragedy, and we need to remember it for what it was. Thousands died and they deserve our prayers and good thoughts, especially for the families left behind. How dare this group try to commercialize such a horrific tragedy.

For those of you that still play here - WAKE UP. This has GOT to show you what these people are really about. Do you really want these people getting your hard earned cash????

And players who continue to patronize these casinos are just as much to blame. They are the ones who keep these bottom feeders in business

Could you please expand on this comment? It makes total sense.

There are a fair amount of players who ignore the endless warnings made about this casino group. Every week there are players who either email me or post here saying "oops - shoulda known better".

These players only care about getting some stupid-ass bonus - they couldn't care less who gives it to them. This says a lot about their standards and character.

If players would only stop throwing their money at these guys, we wouldn't have threads like these.

Exactly. On the first anniversary of 9/11, I shut Casinomeister down. Visitors were greeted with nothing but a black screen - a photo of the ruins of one of the towers, and an American flag. This was a horrible, horrible day. Nearly three thousand men, women and children were murdered. And thousands of children lost a mother or father. And thousands of parents lost their children as well.

Unbelievable. Way to go Virtual. You have no class nor sense. But then - what should we have expected from this clip shot joint? :what:

Just goes to show you what some people will do for a buck.
What Virtual did is so disgusting Im not going to waste my time with anymore comments about them than what I need to.
Not like he's going to loose any sleep over it and he'll try his best to come up with every excuse in the books to justify what he did!

Let's just hope he has to justify his actions to RTG in order to keep their license. I'm pretty sure with all of the (bad) publicity this offer has generated, these excuses won't fly.

I have defended the Virtual Group in the past for some of their indiscretions, but even I was horified when I got this. I will say that Danny does care about 911 and is often misinterpeted, but no excuses here. Danny you screwed up Royally this time. You can't always chase the mighty dollar.

I guess even terrorist assholes have to play somewhere! Is this Osama Bin Laden's new casino?

Virtual Danny

You guys are all way off base. Every year I do this 911 promotion, amongst other important subjects dear to my heart. When I first did it I had players contacting me saying thank you that I did it and in the way I did it. I didn't do it last year, but when I didn't, I received a great deal of contact asking me why I didn't and telling me I should have continued. My style of promotions are different then that of what you will see in other casinos. Thats just the way I am. I like to draw attention to things that matter to me. The only way I can bring any attention to important subjects obviously is to do it through my promotions. I'm from New York, my sister was there when it happened 3 blocks away and just got out, so don't for once think you got me all figured out. Don't for once think I did this promotion for a deposit. All you have to do is tell me and then I can explain my reasons and then you can make your judgments. Im very surprised at you jumping on this band wagon Steven, very surprised. Seven was a typo by the way - it should have said Several. I caught it after I saw it. I know it wasnt 7 years ago.

What a joke. The players that were thanking you are BONUS WHORES, and could care less WHY you're giving them a monster bonus.

As you can see by the feedback here, this was a totally tasteless promotion.

I'm glad your sister got out, that's great.

Your pledge to red cross? A matching $1 for every deposit? Get real. If you really cared about it, this amount would be MUCH higher. If you really donated so much, let's see figures (and proof) for what you're donating.

You'll come in and pipe up to defend your actions about honoring a promotion, but clam up about constant player complaints about not getting paid?

WE are all wrong? All of us? Other than him I see NO ONE else agreeing with him. Wonder what his sister thinks?

With friends like him, who needs enemies?:eek2:

And gosh there are soo many other things that need be memorialized...cancer, euthanasia, serial murders, soldier deaths from roadside bombs, why did he stop at one?
And FYI a typo is when you type ate in stead of eight or sax instead of six.
So sickening I am almost too embarrassed to admit I have ever gamlbled online anywhere.

He should just have made a game for Red Cross/ Heroes. He is sooo stupid.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for joining the discussion - er, lion's den. Like I said in my email, RTG should shut you guys down - period.

This promo is abhorrent. If you wanted to do something honorable, you could have donated a month's worth of profit or something of this matter to the Red Cross. I don't care if you're from Manhattan, Basra, or Timbuktu. You don't have ownership of a very horrible incident. You exploited a tragedy to gain profit.

And there is no band wagon here. You are simply wrong.

If you still don't "get it" then you never will.

Mr dany. We are one day after 911 and you still have time to send execuses to all players. You still mainting your decision on that promotion and you continue to post here to convince peoples.

Do you know that if the americans autorities know about that ,then you will have to answer in front of an american judge and the family of the victims about who give the right to use this tragedy in the marketing or gambling industry. The 911 is in all our harts and we have our own ways to remember it. I think what you have to do is an excuses to the honest players, to RTG CEO, to the spirit of the victims and clear yourself at the end, then you can come to this website to post .Be sure you have no right for this anymore.

VirtualDanny

Thank you for having me in Bryan. Like I said, this has been so totally blown out of proportion. And not one of you are willing to listen to me. So I don't know what else to say. Only that I know why I did it. I just received my log on info so if there were Payout complaints I didn't know about them to post any replies to.

Danny,
I know you and I know where your heart was, but when you bring up things like the "Twin Towers", and Certain places, that feels more like salt in a wound than anything else. To honor the fallen there is usually silence or a ringing bell, there is not someone shouting from the rooftops, and that is what your invitation was like. Yes it was a terrible thing and no one should ever forget, but no one needs to see the videos of the towers falling to remind them.

And with your other promotion....what's up with offering a "come back" bonus to those who you confiscated funds from?

afaik: Virtual owns all virtual casinos.
One subgroup is the prism, sov, vip, etc. managed by Chris D.
The virtual group of virtual is Danny, or Roger's herd.
I don't think Danny influences Chris's management nor viceversa so I don't see Danny answering that.

But fundamentally, afaik, all profits from any of their casinos go to the same place.

I am not defending anything here so please don't mix your emotions on and ally me with this faux pas promotional blunder of Danny's.

The casino's honesty, reliablility and overall reputation really should be seperate from this thread and if this manager has skin thick enough to take on the heat here, he should be allowed the opportunity at a future time in another thread, as well as the opportunity to correct any past unresolved issues.

The promotion is the issue here.

You want me to believe your heart's in the right place, and this was all done for charity? Oh, HELL no.
If you had really wanted to do something, then you could have simply posted a message....MESSAGE...not a promotion, on the front page of your site...along with a pledge from Virtual to give a large donation. Period. No bonuses, no sick little word games with the coupons, no revenue collected by Virtual on the backs of the victims.
Your company is evil, your customers are greedy simpletons, and you sir are a money hungry artard.
Bugger off.
