So gang, a bit low on funds I thought I’d try out a free chip from one of those places on KK’s site. I went for £20 free with a whopping WR of 30x, and a max cashout of 100 from SimonSays Casino. I logged on and started playing…and won…and won…and won…

Something is definitely up with this I’m thinking.

Kept winning until I got it up to £1000 and something. Gusher’s Gold, Scary Rich 1 and 2, whatever I played I seemed to get features and decent wins on. The whole session “felt” odd – like I was just rigged to win or something. (Absolutely no stats or proof of anything in saying that by the way. We’ve all had hot streaks and it could have been one of those. Who knows?)

Needless to say I had made the WR and then some. Now I checked the T&Cs carefully before I downloaded the casino and as far as I’m concerned any kind of free chip with a max cashout is basically funny money. I don’t trust it and I never get excited when I win like this, but I thought, what the hell, may as well see if there’s any chance of cashing out. It was only then that I checked the rogue pit and there they are:

Simon Says casino Rival Netherlands Antilles/Curacao Land of the Lost

So I giggled a bit to myself and left it for a few days. During this time I received an email from them:

You are eligible for 50 Free Play Credits
login to the casino and claim your 50 free play credits. You can play with these credits for up to a period of 1 hour from time of activation. Any winnings made from the promotion will appear as a second bonus at the end of the freeplay round. Simply claim the second bonus (winnings) and make a minimum deposit of 25 to claim your winnings

Crikey, I thought, I am a popular so-and-so! So, today I went onto their live support and had a chat with the delightfully-named Sherry…

You are now chatting with 'Sherry'
me: Hi Sherry
me: how are you today?
Sherry: Welcome to Simon Says Casino Live Support. How may I assist you?
Sherry: fine thanks
Sherry: May I have your Login name and email address please?
me: XXXXXXX, XXXXXXXXXXX
Sherry: thank you, how may I assist you?
me: So Sherry, I was kindly given a free chip of 20 and it says I have made the wagering requirement but I wanted to check with you to be certain
me: and then to ask about the withdrawal process - what you need from me etc
Sherry: congratulations, you qualify to withdraw 100
me: Thanks! :)
me: Kind of amazed I made it
me: ;)
Sherry: In order to withdraw, we require a 25. verification deposit using the method you intend to withdraw to, this deposit may be withdrawn along with your winnings, or you may apply it to another promotion. Regrettably, we cannot process withdrawals to a credit card.
me: So I have to make a deposit first in order to withdraw correct?
Sherry: yes, but your can withdraw the deposit along with your winnings
Sherry: this is to ensure that we send your winning to the correct account
me: I see. Ok, thanks for your help today Sherry and all the best, Dan

So, the question is simple really – what would YOU do? Would you gamble (because it is just that - gambling) £25 of your own money to try and get £100 back from a casino in the rogue pit? Or would you suck it up and tell the devil on your shoulder to be quiet.

Advice and thoughts very welcome…

Ive never played at Simon Says, but all Rivals are pretty much the same when it comes to withdrawing from free chips.

They all ask for the minimum verification deposit. And like Sherry said, you dont have to wager the $25, just withdraw that along with your $100.

Make the deposit & get your money.
You don't even have to play that $25.00 if you don't want too.
Congrats on making the wr.
I have never had any type of trouble with Simon Says.
I have players that made a cash out & never had to wait long to get the money they won.

Thanks very much for the info guys - much appreciated, genuinely. I'm very surprised by what both of you have said and that's another reason why CM is such a useful resource! Thanks for taking the time to post. I'm still sceptical and leaning heavily towards leaving it though. Here's why:

1) They're in the rogue pit. It's there for a reason. They're in it for a reason.
2) The chat below. I really, REALLY don't like the fact that they won't pre-approve docs. I understand that there could be a financial reason for this but my word it's annoying.

info: You are now chatting with 'Coleen'
me: HI Coleen
Coleen: Welcome to casino Live Chat. How may I help you?
Coleen: May I have your Login name and email address please?
me: me
me: XXXXXXXXXX
Coleen: May I ask for which casino this is?
me: Simon Says Casino.
Coleen: How can I help you?
me: I have made the WR on a free chip (woo!) and I just want to check the withdrawal process.
me: I understand that I need to deposit 25
me: After that, do you require any kind fo documents etc (I am in the UK if that means anything?)
Coleen: Yes, you have won 100 GBP. In order to withdraw you must go to the cashier in your casino acct and make a 25 GBP verification deposit using the same processor you make the deposit with to withdraw.
Coleen: You can then withdraw your winnings along with your 25 GBP verification deposit for a withdrawal of 125.
me: Yes, and do you ask for any other documentation at all?
Coleen: Another department makes a decision as to whether or not documents are required.
Coleen: You will be e-mailed if they require documents.
me: And if they do ask for documents do you know what they will ask for?
Coleen: Usually front and back of cc if you used one, driver's licence, utility bill.
me: I see, thanks.
Coleen: Is there anything else I can help you with?
me: Yes please. Is it possible for me to clear the docs etc BEFORE I do the whole withdrawal thing?
me: I would prefer to know that I am fine before I deposit, I;m sure you understand.
Coleen: No, you must request the withdrawal first.
me: Why?
Coleen: It is a different department.
me: So do they have access to email?
Coleen: Yes.
me: So why can't I email them and get approved before I deposit?
Coleen: We do not request documents unless a withdrawal has been initiated.
me: Why?
Coleen: The approval is for the withdrawal.
Coleen: Those are the casino rules. It is my job to explain the rules to you.
me: I see. That's a real shame Coleen, as I prefer to know for certain that everything will be fine BEFORE I deposit - as I'm sure you know there are some untrustworthy operators out there and you have to be careful.
Coleen: There is a form that has to be filled out and it is sent from our security department if they feel documents are necessary "after" the withdrawal request.
Coleen: The casino is trustworthy and safe.
Coleen: Is there anything else I can help you with?
me: And there is no way to work around that process? You cannot approve a player before they make a deposit? Other casinos do this...
Coleen: No, I'm sorry, I cannot.
me: How very sad
Coleen: Is there anything else I can help you with?
me: I guess I'll have to stick to the current casinos, a real shame as I have enjoyed the games here :(
me: Ah well. Take care and have a nice day.

Odd that, I bet if you had NOT won, but asked them about wanting to make a $1000 deposit without a bonus, but would not until you were verified, I bet they WOULD go ahead and verify you.

They have almost no wriggle room on this one now, BUT they are in the rogue pit.

Think of this as a bet. You are staking 25 at odds of 4/1 that your documents will be approved, and you will get paid.

It is probably a good bet, since although they are in the pit, the cock-ups that got them there have hurt the business, and they would want to avoid a fresh incident where the lead up has been so well documented here on CM.

If you choose to take up the bet, use a deposit method that can accept the withdrawal, such as Neteller or Moneybookers, not a card.

Prepare in advance an image of your driving license and/or passport, and a recent utility bill.

In the mean time, DON'T open any accounts at other Rivals, nor take any free chips on Rival accounts you already have - they share data with each other.

If you get paid (which seems quite likely), log back in and see whether all the promotions have vanished from your lobby.

If they have, you have been bonus banned across all Rival white label casinos, and possibly some independents. This is also quite likely, since you beat a free chip:rolleyes:

Thanks VWM. I have certainly been careful as ANYTHING with this, not touched another Rival, taken any other offers or anything like that. If I do decide to go ahead and try to cash out (which would mean setting up an online payment service since I don't already use one - bit of a pain) then I will of course post the result here.

Thanks mate.

They are in the "Rogue Pit", but they are NOT a rogued casino. (I don't promote ANY CM rogued casinos)
They are on Bryan's "Not Recommended" list, along with loads of other perfectly fine white label Rival casinos, due to the unsavory antics of just a few of them. This is called "being tarred with the same brush" and is quite unfair IMPO.

Anyhow, as others have said, it is standard procedure to make a 25 deposit for verification purposes, after which you can withdraw your winnings and your deposit without wagering another penny. I have done it myself a few times at Rival casinos - never had a problem.

As you signed up via my site, in the extremely unlikely event they don't pay you - I'll give you the 125 quid myself!

Congratulations on your win!

KK, that is absolutely stellar of you and really sets my mind at rest. I think I'll look for an online payment option and give this one a go in that case. Thanks very much, really appreciate the help

It's gone from a "good bet" to a "sure thing". You stand to get 125 for your 25 regardless.

You only need an "express" account at Neteller to handle this, one limited to €1000, but more than enough for this. This will make it easy for them to pay you the 125 back to the method of deposit, and also provide an easy means for KK to honour his pledge if the whole thing goes wrong.

I believe they will pay up, because KK is one of the few here who are still prepared to back Rival white labels that have done nothing wrong other than to use the same software as the few "bad apples" in the mix.

Even Rival are not so daft as to leave KK holding the tab for one of their white labels that he backed with such a promise.

It shouldn't take more than a day to set up a Neteller account, fund it with £25, deposit, and submit the withdrawal.

Final update - got paid!

Yep, all came through today. And wouldn't have done it without the help from you guys. Props in particular to KK for putting his money where his mouth is on this - I salute you sir!

Seriously, thanks so much. I really do appreciate the support and good advice from all of you on this one. I wouldn't have bothered to chase this up if you lot hadn't told me that it WAS worth it and I WOULD get paid.

Now, where shall I deposit my winnings using my brand new neteller account...? :p

N.B The long delay on this wasn't the casino or neteller - it was me. Just been too busy to do all the necessary with documents etc until now.

Well that totally depends on where you have already joined, and which software's games you like!
If not already a member, I would have to say 32Red is top-notch, as are several other MG casinos.
Or if you fancy something a bit different - try a Grand Virtual casino! I promise you will either love it or hate it - there is NO in-between!

Thanks for coming back and updating us with your good news!
