Haven't read all this thread, so if my question has already been answered, sorry for being lazy

My question is, other than the green dots next to a user's name, how can you check how many rep points other people have? I know in your cp on vbulletin boards like this one, you can view the rep you have received good or bad as well as the the rep you have given. But I have never figured out, how to view the total number of points other posters have received - other than the green dots.

I'm putting a plan together to make this work out for the best - some incentives where posters can reward other posters for good informative posts. There should be something in the next week or two.

As of today, you can now view reputation points "given" and your reputation power in your "User CP".

And your total amounts are posted in your posts

And I've also made your "reputation power" visible. This is the amount of points that you can either add or subtract from fellow members. Some of you have more power than others. Your power is affected by how long you've been a member, and how many posts you have made. The specifics are posted earlier in this thread.

Note that mine is only 15. This way I don't wield too much power over others since I have the highest amount of posts, and have the oldest account

Surely it should be to do with post quality and not quantity. I have seen the section on reputation points, but there is no link to find out how it all works, so I have tended to ignore it. Even this thread is just a discussion, there is no link to a forum "How To" help page on reputation points, thanks, rules etc. If this system is now going to be more important we need to know how to use it, as if it is too bewildering the tendency will to be to ignore it.

I just now found where the reputation button is. It is the sales in top right corner in case anyone else has looked but didn't know where lol.

I must have overlooked that so many times. I had tried clicking on the little green box thought maybe wasn't hitting the right pixel or something!

Man, this was an old thread that was "stuck" here for too long. People should rate other users posts more often; I guess I need to give people an incentive to do this like give money away or something

The problem with casino chips is that it wouldn't apply to everyone since not everyone is an active online gambler. Also receiving money or chips opens up abuse behaviour.

Actually incentives will be more tangible - additional forum permissions, free beer, etc.

It is unclear what someone with many reputation power points can do in comparison to someone who hasn't got any.What's the difference?...apart from showing off your credibility as a member .Perhaps you want to elaborate on that CM
