Hi

So I tried to quite gambling in January, I closed all my account and even stopped logging on to Casinomeister. I was so good, did not do anything until August. Then one day I decided to log back on to Casinomeister , just to have a look and ended up going on the "Show me the Money" thread and saw people with big win and BOOM I found myself re-open my casino account and i was hooked again. I am not blaming Casinomeister it was my own lack of self control
So now I find myself being down on my luck, lost a lot of money and I have this time done a self exclusion on all the casino account so I can not re-open them. I also wont to close my Casinomeister account but can not seem to fine how to do it, can someone please advise, how do I close my Casinomeister accunt ?

You can be asked to be put into the quit gambling portion of the forum so you won't have access to any gambling related content. I am sure Bryan and co. can also close your account. I have reported your post to the mods so they should be able to help you in this.

You have taken great steps to stop gambling and I wish you the best in you endeavor:)

Bryan is away for a few days but no problem, I've done the necessary for you. Thanks for the "Report" snotter.

hmm , it seems i can still use it , is there any way you can delete it all together and posts? but thankyou for the help anyways

Sorry, can't delete everything (please see Deleting Posts and Threads for details).

I think you should only be able to see this forum though. Let me know if the other stuff is still accessible.

Good luck to all from recovering from this problem and great work from Casinomeister, I didn't know if I ever had any problem with gambling, there was still a way I could access the site without being tempted again to gamble.

Well, I can change your password for you if you like. That'll have pretty much the same effect, no?

FWIW I can pretty much guarantee you that Bryan won't simply delete your account because -- among other things -- that'll make a mess of any threads you may have posted in.

If its ok I have a suggestion? You could ban the user for reason "self requested ban". That would leave all their posts intact but have the desired effect for anyone who requested a complete self ban.

I understand if it would not suit the forum, just a thought I had.

P.S. If you changed the password they could reset it back themselves, so you would have to change the email address associated with the account as well, might get messy.

best not to change password. but i only have 55 posts so it shouldnt have that much affect on the forum if my account gets removed from forum , lets see when Brian gets back what he says , i have pm'd him too . thanks tho for your help

Excellent point and you are quite right. I remember now that we've done this before, just as you've described.
