I called Visa cause i could not make any deposit, it was always declined. I tried several casino on the recommended list like 32 red, video slots and guts to no avail. I called my bank (Nova Scotia Bank) and they told me that gambling sites are blocked due to money laundering.... So i'm screwed from playing online. Anyone else had such problems with credit card companies (bank). What other options i have as a canadian player ?

This is very common here. Alot of them do block such transactions.

You can always open up an ewallet..link your bank account...or purchase credit card giftcards.

I do notice some casinos wont accept a couple of my credit cards but some will. I find mine wont work at microgaming casinos....but will work for some netent

One casino that you can use your credit card on and should work is sportsinteraction. Because you use your credit card but it purchases a voucher so its not showing any kind of gambling activity. They are a playtech casino and sportsbook

salut bonjour c'est froid en tabar%@#^$#^$ today!

you live in quebec(yeh!)...you can use a prepaid debit mastercard(vanilla brand only. any other one you will be declined)...you can buy those at any depanneur....provisoir/couchetard...and deposit that way...and depending on which casino you play at you can then withdraw via direct bank transfer, ewallet or check. or you can sign up for ecopayz....an ewallet that still works in canada.

and yes mastercard visa will not accept online gambling sites.

good luck.
;)

Moneymart has a prepaid mastercard that can be loaded as a bill payment or in store, ecopays as well, and you can buy pafsafe/neosurf/swiff vouchers from USEMYCARD which debits right from your account like interact.

It's not money laundering, the credit card companies don't want to be involved with a business that gets chargebacks. There are more fraudulent players than rogue casinos. The ones you have mentioned are top of the line. 32Red in fact is publicly traded and if they were laundering money, we would know this by now. Please use caution when naming your threads. Thanks! :D

Yeah i know but guess this make the perfect excuse for them to decline.

Nova Scotia bank are totally insane about gambling activities. I open a bank account with them to be able to play on espacejeux ( governement website in quebec ) like playOLG in ontario. I made a deposit via interac online payment which directly take the money in your bank account for a 1$ fee. I received a call the day after to get told by the director at nova scotia that my account is now permently closed because of gambling transactions.

I called loto-quebec and informed them about this terrible problem. Since they offer this payment method with only 4 different banks and nova scotia being one of them.... They should be aware of this problem... They basically told me that it's my problem. Their customer support is crazy ignorant and couldnt care less.

Royal Bank of Canada has the same attitude towards gambling unfortunately.

If you want piece of mind... just go with BMO Bank of Montreal... or maybe TD canada trust...

For withdrawals... just go with bank transfer if you dont mind the fees. Around 15$ for 100$ to 500$. 30$ for 500-999$ and 80$ for 1000$ and more. Don't forget to NEVER ask for a withdraw of more than 8-9k. You will receive phone calls if you do... and you won't like the questions...

Not all casinos offer checks... the ones that do... are not in my top 10 for many different reasons...

My prefered deposit method is paycafecards that are now sold in every Canada Post... ( Poste Canada ) because fees are around 1 or 2% less than vanilla prepaid mastercard and you get asked less proofs when its time to withdraw.

You should always keep a picture of any paysafe voucher or prepaid credit card in your computer or cellphone because you can get ask for a proof.

Good luck

I find Ecopayz works best for me. I was able to start using the card almost immediately after verification. No fees for deposits (I was being charged $5 every time with Visa) and withdrawals are always quick. The only negative thing is when you try to withdraw the money from the card. I withdrew $280 and got charged almost $20. Also, when you fund the card there is a fee. Visa no longer allows you to fund an Ecopayz card (not mine anyway) so I use Mastercard. I know a few people use Instadebit but for some reason I couldn't pass their security check. Ecopayz is more widely accepted -- Instadebit not so much.

I only use vanilla mastercards to play online. Not only do all casinos accept them, but there's no risk of spending more than you intended, as what's on the card (value) is what you can use - no more, no less.

you can withdraw money unto a paysafe card?

thx

no...the fortune lounge group(platinum play, royal vegas, lavida, etc..)and the digimedia(lucky nuggett, spin palace, gaming club) group will send checks. ive never had a problem with these two groups and have withdrawn more than 8k at once. yes it took more than 48 hours but no problems whatsoever. check came via courier and both occasions i did not pay for courier.

32red, betat, guts, videoslots will do bank transfer and ecopayz.

also...i deposited at gowild with a prepaid debit card and then withdrew with ecopayz.

hope this helps.

can you withdraw from casinos with the moneymart prepaid mastercard?

thx

Generally no. I think I've read once or twice people have, but I have no idea what casino(s).. But you can open an Ecopayz account and withdraw that way. Some sites may require you to use Ecopayz to deposit as well, but not all in order to withdraw. Many sites offer bank transfer if they cannot pay back to your credit card, others may allow you to deposit with a prepaid or gift card. Most will at least want a verifying deposit.

There is also a Paysafe card option offered at some sites, I myself have not used it.

Instadebit is also an option, which is one I don't use again, because I'd rather not have my bank balance available to gamble with.

Opening an account at a more gambling friendly bank and a linked card, even if it's prepaid could be a choice too.

Overall, Mastercards cannot be paid back to, and Visas (sometimes) are.

A friend of mine has never had an issue with a TD Visa and 32Red. It's the only site she plays.

Fortunately, I had just renewed my Moneymart prepaid Visa before they switched over, I got a couple of more years I hope.

I'd inquire by email, not chat or phone, before depositing to make sure you can withdraw or how.
Ecopayz is a little heavy on fees, and not every casino accepts it (eg Omni). But it's great especially if you are a player that frequently makes a withdrawal that you intend to buy you your next few deposits, because they charge no fees for that, and you don't have to be very VIP to get an ATM card that lets you withdraw cash from your account (but it's in US dollars, so we bite it right not on exchange, unless you shop online US), and the wire transfer fee is not terrible, but be aware your bank will also charge you for an incoming wire. IMO, if I'm going to pay $25 in fees between the two, the withdrawal needs to be at least a few hundred.
