Being an older woman, I have been around a lot of men in my life. I worked in the automotive field for more than 10 years. A woman, ANY woman, that walks into a body shop or repair shop with a delivery will most likely encounter a bit of banter from the guys. And yes, I said banter!

I have to admit too, that I had a blast working in that field. But then too, a woman needs to know how to roll with the bullshit.

Walked into one shop, the guy says, "Well, you're the best looking thing I've seen all day!"... My reply?... "Better hope your day gets better then!"

Even more risque? I had strawberry blonde hair at the time.... When I walked into this shop, one worker yells, "Hey, is the carpet the same color as the drapes?"..... My reply? Sure, next time I trim it, I'll bring a bit to prove it!"

Granted, these are not examples of true harassment or obscene violations but a woman needs to know how to handle any situation.

Watching all the explosions about one man after another, getting sued or charged, some dating back decades is ridiculous.

I think all the "Pussy Hat" wearing women won't be happy until every single male had been neutered and I am sick of it.

I can lurk as well as anyone, and have. I watched this thread fairly closely for the first while, pop back in occasionally. That's how I would know. And thanks for asking.



A bunch of people look at a tall thing with green leaves and say "hmm, a tree". Other folks dig around and find roots and bark and note the very tree-like structure. Now more are nodding and saying "yup, a tree". Across the way some folks are shaking their heads and saying "fools! same old BS tree yawnfest." As my dear old dad used to say "there are none so blind as those who will not see."

roses are red, violets are blue, see I can write riddles too. Although yours is much better. However the point remains the same, no one will be taken back by what you say because its been said so many times before.

Less is more, and I don't think he can help himself when challenged on anything. I'd be asking some serious questions about who manages his PR because it's certainly done him few favours in that regard.

I don't think Brits would be too enamored if someone like Alan Sugar were to become Prime Minister either, because people will have 30+ years of baggage to draw from, which makes venturing into politics nothing more than an opportunistic move given the current climate of fear.

I even told the person that as of right now, liberals would lose the election. All of the sudden the study by Ipsos was "fake news" to them. Just last week this person told me there is no such thing as fake news. Funny.

The businessman in Trump is what makes him unprofessional. While in politics you are taught at a very young age to try and be respectful and well spoken, in business its more cut throat tactics. Plus its quite obvious the guy has an ego and pride that if anyone swings at him, he cant let it go. He must have a pretty stressful mind having to think like that all the time. I know I would. I have never seen a politician like Trump before. he is different and maybe its refreshing alot of it to the american people

I dont think it was lose, lose. I think Trump would have beaten most candidates because the American public was tired of the lying and empty promises, especially after Obama. He was supposed to be the greatest president ever. He promised it all and he didnt even deliver close to half. That is when Trump arose and the people said screw this, Im with him. suddenly stopped with all the rocket & missile tests and bragging about their distance capabilities?
AND, what's up with him visiting China?? Meeting the leader of China on China turf?
And China is upset with Trumps' new tariffs he want to impose on China made goods.

I may need a tinfoil hat for this but it all seems to suspicious .... Since when is Kim Jong Un ever quiet about his weaponry? If I know someone mouthing off all the time about how they are great and the great things they are doing, and they fall silent....

I went to an all girls Catholic high school. My sophomore year, we got a new, fresh out of college biology teacher and boy was he a hunk!

No girl, not one, cut his class. On the days we had his class, all the girls showed up looking like prom queens. And I am sure a few tried to give him a "tumble".

1) Right after Obama got elected, he won the Pulitzer Peace price.. for what?? He had done nothing.

Also, right after he got elected he went from country to country apologizing for his predecessors' behaviors! Seriously! That embarrassed this entire country!

His eight years in office set us back at least 50 years. And I hate that I feel that way because when he was elected, I honestly thought it would be good for the nation. Boy was I wrong!

2) On to Russia BS. Russia seems to be increasing their rocket power these days. Why? If Trump were colluding with Russia, they would be happy he is elected. Seems to me the tensions are higher now. If Trump were their "buddy", they shouldn't be, IMO. After the last few weeks I have to think something is up.

3) What's up with N. Koreas' "Fearless Leader" all the sudden, over the last few weeks
suddenly stopped with all the rocket & missile tests and bragging about their distance capabilities?
AND, what's up with him visiting China?? Meeting the leader of China on China turf?
And China is upset with Trumps' new tariffs he want to impose on China made goods.

I may need a tinfoil hat for this but it all seems to suspicious .... Since when is Kim Jong Un ever quiet about his weaponry? If I know someone mouthing off all the time about how they are great and the great things they are doing, and they fall silent....

I think its really about validation. I think they want America to be left Social and PC anal like their countries. Obama's election put it on course, hence the Pulitzer. The Trump election and voters rejected and reversed it, hence the outrage.

That was bullying, he tries to bully all the time too. Putin does. Obama does and so did Bush from what I read of some books. Obama was fierce with his staff and anyone who made a mistake. Maybe the bullying stuff with Trump is his shtick. He is a very tough president and he talked about it for 2 years how tough he would be. And look at the results. North Korea buckling under pressure, sent a message to Syria with the missile attacks, going after China. Obama left that country in the weakest state its ever been in and Trump is trying to fix it.

I have a giant problem with Mueller ...and thats all the direct evidence of his team showing pure bias towards Trump. At this point I would need concrete proof that directly ties Trump to Russia to believe anything. And again, that goes back to all the fake news, reporting and bias agents.

Another comment about those poor defenseless young women too.

I went to an all girls Catholic high school. My sophomore year, we got a new, fresh out of college biology teacher and boy was he a hunk!

No girl, not one, cut his class. On the days we had his class, all the girls showed up looking like prom queens. And I am sure a few tried to give him a "tumble".

Not all young women are innocent and I refuse to believe many of the "me too" crap stories hitting the news.

I'm not saying there are NO victims, there have been very real horror stories, I know.

Just saying I am a women and I know how some women can be.

Wasn't Elizabeth Warren found to be using her unproven native American 'heritage' to gain entry to Harvard, based on some form of diversity/ ethnic criteria loophole?

Fact is she's used that pretext to gain a monumental advantage in her career. She's not even sure herself, nor has her bloodline ever been proven/ disproven. So doesn't that make her the 'racist' of sorts to use their ethnicity to further herself?

I agree that heads of state shouldn't be giving people nicknames or using playground jibes, but surely calling her Pocahantas is in reference to her misuse of the native American culture, and is aimed solely at her hypocrisy and selfishness. How can it be racist if she's not even native American?

If she is, then yes it's racist. But the way in which the term is bandied about these days I don't even think people know what racism is. It's far too overused and has lost much of its impact and meaning I'm afraid.

Well, I wont type them out or use them, but I can think of a hundred racial slurs, and if I were wrong about the person's ethnic background or origin, it wouldnt make it any less a slur.
