If there was something bad enough he would be impeached. I have not seen 1 piece of evidence Trump was directly involved. Feel free to provide me with some because I admit I am not keeping up on it lately. I know before alot of what I read was completely unrelated and prior to the election but the media was trying to put a spin on it.

I have no problem admitting Im wrong or agreeing if there is some actual evidence. I really dont. I am not a blind fan girl, Im really not

Yeah its true. People need to chill. I know some great liberals. My grandmother was a huge one, worked for the liberal party. I used to help her put liberal signs up, you know the ones you see on the side of the road come vote time. Yeah those. And I vote conservative most times...

Is that using "my authoritative powers"? I can't see how. I'm fully aware that a grand majority of readers of this thread will loath what I've had to say about Trump and there's sweet FA that I can or care to do about it. So what powers are being used? About the only one I can think of is the power to edit the thread title. Hardly going to rock anyone's world now is it?

As to "denigrating Trump fans" I'd say that's being just a little precious. Trump fans routinely advocate jailing, attacking, and abusing in all possible ways anyone that thinks of Trump the way I do. As does the man himself. Not to mention his loathsome attitude toward women, the disabled, etc. Given that atmosphere of discourse I'd say being over-sensitive about a little dissing -- re "Spanky" or suchlike -- is well out of proportion.

I should mention that I manage to do what I do as PAB manager for anyone who qualifies regardless of what their political allegiances may be. If I on this rare occasion expect the same in return I don't think I'm asking too much.

It was not that bad at all and people even messaged max with their displeasure and he did shorten the persons ban. The post was related to Islam which is a religion and not even a race. It was no different than someone saying christianity sucks...which would never get a person banned here

I could be wrong as it was a fair bit back, but I think it was more Muslim rhetoric and tarring all with the same brush - ie Muslim equals fanatic Islam, like suggesting all Christians equal fantatic terrorists...and theres plenty of Muslim members in the forum.

One of the serious problems facing many Western democracies is the 50/50 divide in the electorate, the dramatic polarization of public thoughts, opinions, political allegiances, etc. Like the "tree people" above, no middle ground. A lot like ancient Greece if any of you are into the history thing, the fall of Pericles and the rise of Alcibiades. And the ruin of the Athenian state if I permit myself to point out the obvious.

This may all be a "yawnfest" for some of you but for others it is a deadly serious crisis that we believe seriously threatens the continued existence of liberal western democracies. And on that note I leave you with this:

personally speaking - I enjoy when you banter, and sadly, not as often as perhaps youre either able to or like to.
Granted, ideologically, we see many things the same way, but conversely, we also approach several points differently and sometimes, dont agree at all. But, mostly, I find, you add a point of sanity and rationaility ( that isnt a dig toward anyone else- rather, you do well at moderating - i dont mean the forum, but in conversation and debate).

theres a point there i agree with - its one thing we poke fun of, dismiss, ridicule etc as laypeople.
But, I feel, a world leader is supposed to be held to higher standards.
Yes, I understand other contenders have done the same.
But this isnt a 'those people' thread, its a President Trump thread - what othera do or dont do doesnt mitigate what one does that we're discussing.
It makes no sense to say, well, but X said...they arent the topic of conversation.
It's like saying to your child 'THIS is wrong' but they come back with ' but you/daddy/uncle does it' That doesnt lessen the flaws of one just because another does wrong.

I don't expect many of you were around the scene during the WinnerOnline days, or on the forums there. It was a perpetual slug-fest and I was no small part of that (the problem I mean). It's taken a good number of years under Bryan's firm but patient guidance to "tame the beast" as it were and learn a more rational, even-handed approach. It's not always apparent because he's so busy with 1000 other things but the man really is quite brilliant when it comes to having created and maintained this community. No small thing, just look at how many others have attempted it and failed.
