As an aside; Can anyone recommend a Prepaid Debit Card that is currently working. For instance; Does the Walmart Prepaid Visa Card Work?

Thanks!

Hi, I didn't want your question sitting here with no answer.

For now my Pre-paid Netspend Visa works at RTG casinos, I have never tried the Walmart card. I know a pre-paid card has to be for international use in order for it to work.

I hope more people come along to help. :)

As Justplay mentioned-the last time I considered using a Walmart debit card, I looked on the back and it specifically stated not for international transactions.

Just take a look-maybe they have changed since the last time I checked.

My Netspend Visa still works as long as it's not charged as VESTPAY. I use a GreenDot Visa, Akimbo Visa, and several others. I keep rotating so that none of them get too nosy about what is what. Pain to verify all but at least they are working at the moment.

Netspend works for me, although they did block it once but I got it unblocked. ;)

Annie, I don't understand the part where you say "as long as it's not charged with VESTPAY"? ALL my deposits into Club World are now VESTPAY?

Can you see your online deposits and such with a GreenDot, the way you can with Netspend?

Pay Power works great, but since it's also ran by the same people as Only 1. You'll find out in the long run, like after 6 to 8 months. If you continually do International Transactions, they will call you and threaten to shut your card down. If you continually use it for international transaction without giving it a break. Then yes they'll also close this card down to you as well.
American Express prepaid is also another good one though, very little fees except for a load fee. These are available at Wal Greens, I haven't tried the Wal-Mart version yet.
After my most recent loosing streak, I'm debating on finding a hobby account myself. Mainly because I'm tired of paying fee, after fee with prepaids just to play online. There has to be a brick and mortar bank that will let me do international transactions without batting an eye.

Closed your account due to VESTPAY?

I never heard of a paypower card, can you see your online transactions like you can for Netspend?

i never asked which transactions were triggering their warning system-so have no idea if it is vestpay. yes, with paypower, you can see your online transactions.

i just purchased a reloadable amex from walmart-once i receive the personalized card, i hope to be able to use for international purchases.

Well now my netspend is closed........... permanently. :( I've been using it with pasteandpay, so beware. Netspend is on to them.

Also if you have any money on it it can take up to 20 days for them to send you a check. :( I'm not happy about it.

Don't play at Club World then either, their charge comes up the same as pasteandpay.

How did you find out your Netspend was closed?

Add...eventually all prepaid cards will close us wont they?

I tried to log in early today and I had a message that there was a problem with my card and the message said to call a 800 #.

I phoned and after a few minutes I was told they had closed my acct. permanently because of gambling transactions. When I was warned before, I did not admit they were gambling transactions, but of course they knew better.

Well what Netspend has one up, on a lot of the prepaids until Green Dot just recently bought there own bank. Was the fact they have there own internal everything, from customer service, to there fraud department, and what not. So this doesn't surprise me that a place like Netspend would be able to catch on quicker to things such as this.
Plus lets be honest the rogue sites shot everyone in the foot. When they were advertising out in the open that Netspend was the premier card of choice to use for online gambling in the US.
Compared to oh say the likes of a generic card like Account Now or something. Where there relying on an outsourced fraud department and customer service to handle there day to day operations.
Plus after I got the random phone calls asking me if the "said" descriptor was ok to put a charge thru. That also told me they were investigating everything little thing that was happening Internationally on each individual card.
I also give Green Dot customers about a month to maybe at most a year, before they start to wisen up to foreign transactions. Why? Well now there going to run there own bank, of course they'll be a bit more responsible for each and every transaction that happens on there cards. So they'll probably start pulling the same stunts as Netspend. If not even giving a grace period and just starting to shut people down.
My honest opinion, find yourself a good debit card with a foreign bank. I'm not talking like opening a foreign bank account for gambling, but there are a few prepaids that are opening themselves up to US customers. As long as your willing to pay the fees to by pass all of this silly US banking system.
Not whether or not the card will take a wire directly from a casino. I have no idea yet, I'm one of the silly ones who keep rotating about 4 different prepaids on random intervals hoping no one will catch onto my spending. Plus while there in use, I also do regular domestic transactions to make it look like I'm using my card for "everyday" use versus just specifically for foreign transactions.
