I just tried to deposit at Lucky Coin, one of Powerbet's sister sites (SureTurn? Is that anything?), and my deposit was denied. I called CS, and they told me that as of today, they were no longer accepting deposits because the casino was closing down. I asked if he meant the whole group, and he said yes! WTF?

These were nice while they lasted. Oh well.

A bigger question is why are/were you gambling at a NON-Casinomeister-accredited casino(s)? Hmmmmm...??

Edit: Then again, I also play at a non-CM-accredited casino, Bodog, but at least it isn't rogued.

Me too and i always got my withdrawals within 1-6 hours!

Vip.com is also not "acreddited" but there i've also never any problems :)

Even on "SciFi" and "Breakaway" which are here on "proceed with care!"

This is probably related to Warren Cloud's unexpected demise last week, as the organisation (and silent partners??) he leaves behind adjust to the new situation.

Silver Sands Poker is still advertising extensively.

Seems odd since our friend Warren supposedly had nothing to do with the group after quitting, yet the loss of this one man caused the entire business to collapse! It shows just how unstable this business was, as any well run business would factor in the possibility of key personnel becoming unavailable without notice, and would have plans in place to deal with it.

The question now is will this be an orderly closure, with enough funds available to pay players, affiliates, and staff - or was the group struggling badly, and this blow was more than it could take.

This could leave an opening for a new casino group to acquire the assets at a discount, including the player base, and relaunch after some rebranding. If it is clear that new owners and management are in charge, the casinos could try to shake off the earlier rogue image. A move to a recognised licencing juristiction would certainly help, as if they remain in Costa Rica, it may be suspected that this is simply another of their tricks, pretending to change owners and turn over a new leaf, but still being run by the same crowd, with the exception of Warren.

Crystal Palace has gone aswell. Check the website.

This website is no longer available.

Please check this space often for more information & updates.

Think the Meister is about to get very busy!

Seems rather TOO fast to have been an accident. Only the other day I got my usual (and always ignored) Crystal Palace bonus offer - and today they are gone, not just "down", but cleaned house & gone!!!!!

It would be interesting how RTG address this (if they bother), as this is one HELL of a lot of casinos to do the proverbial "midnight flip", and presumably leaving a huge trail of recent deposits, pending withdrawals, and (naturally) disputed withdrawals.

Since Warren's demise was a while back, this excuse just won't wash, as the casinos were actively touting for business & taking deposits until this last weekend:what:

The band of reputable RTG operators should keep abreast of this issue, as this could well affect them by association, as Crystal Palace group (at least in some quarters) was becoming seen as less rogue.

For example : Accredited casino in casinomeister mean when some player get a big winning as Jackpot like 250.000 or 300.000, the casino has an obligation to pay it all and the casinomeister is here for this kind of issue,

But when you said I have no problem with crystal place or other which are not listed here, I am sure that your withdrawal does not exeed 1000 or maybe you have made withdrawal of 50 USD. That' why they pay you to let you continue depositing. But when yo have big winning , they will take you in the boat and you will not get your winning. They call it "not accredited casinos".

I am well aware of the definition of a non-accredited casino. I have different standards than casinomeister for choosing where I play. My largest withdrawal was approximately $1,700, and I had 4 other withdrawals over $1,000 in the past year.

The probability of running up a balance in the tens of thousands of dollars while playing games with a low house edge to clear a bonus is so small that most would consider it absurd.

If you're just a degen looking to "get lucky" by playing slots, it really doesn't matter where you play.

Just got this email:

It is with great regret and a heavy heart that we announce that our Casino will be closing on July 31, 2008. If you currently have a balance with the casino, please either play out your balance or withdraw your balance before our closing date. Please note, if you have received a bonus, the wagering requirements are still in place for all bonuses as well as redeemed/comp points. As a matter of goodwill, all players that are not able to playthrough their credits or cash out their withdrawable balance by July 31 will still be able to contact our customer service center 14 days after the closing date to request credits to be cashed out, should they have met wager requirements. All funds remaining in casino accounts after July 31 will be retained by the casino. We hope that you have enjoyed your time with us as much as we have enjoyed having you at.

Sincerely
Oliver Curran

So is Oliver back from the dead, or are they using their past deceit as usual and signing off with other peoples names?

Last option may be that since there was no Oliver, then anyone can sign it off!

I got that too, but how would anyone play/withdraw because the whole lot has gone AWOL now!!!!

Very cleverely the have this "All funds remaining in casino accounts after July 31 will be retained by the casino.". The current position seems that they have taken down all the websites and casinos, so of course no players can check and play their balances, and neither can they contact support easily.(because they can't look at the means to do so on the websites).

Come along 14th August, they are sitting pretty with player's balances.

Since the sites closed 2 DAYS before players were sent the Email (cart before the horse syndrome), there has been NO proper opportunity for players to wind down their play and withdraw any funds in the normal manner.

Maybe they didn't close, THEY WERE SHUT DOWN!

Since there are some players here with balances on account, they could let us know whether it is indeed somehow possible to contact support, and actually get a reply, and indeed to access their account and carry out the instructions to meet playthrough and withdraw by 31st July.

Since they are shutting down anyway, and are in Costa Rica, where is the incentive for them to leave honourably rather than run with as much player cash as they can get away with (why change the habits of a lifetime:rolleyes:)

Which would be theft quite simply. It's unblievable in this day and age that companies can be allowed to do this.

Time for RTG to step up to the plate IMO. Arguably their biggest test yet.

I doubt that they will, but before we look too far on the dark side has anyone tried that telephone number in Oliver Curran's signature?

In the meantime, we have an enquiry in with RTG regarding these anomalies.

These folks need to supply a working email channel to keep communications channels open in the absence of their websites.

That number ONLY works from within the USA, players outside have no channel of communication as of yet.

IF players still have until 31st of the month to complete play and withdrawals, why has access been pulled already?

It is currently not possible to follow the instructions in that Email, which will leave players with balances in the accounts on 31st July, with the casino having awarded themselves permission to keep them. It was only the 9th when this went out, and players should have had 20 further days of access to accounts and support, although deposits would not work.

This is what makes me think they were SHUT down, not done this purely of their own volition. Giving back remaining balances would serve to make the assets saleable to another casino company, but this would not seem worth much considering this is a Costa Rica based RTG casino. Why would a company buy out Crystal Palace group when they could launch without any baggage left over from the group's bad reputation.
It wasn't so long ago that they were planning to float on the UK Stock Exchange!!!!

Jetset seems to know nothing more than players, yet he is a MEDIA person, who usually knows what's coming our way before it becomes common knowledge.

Hmmmm

The Sureturn website went down a few weeks ago - the page wouldnt display and emails went unanswered. Then Warren Cloud meets his untimely demise and the casinos mysteriously all close down within a few days. Things that make you go hmmmmmm....

Warren Cloud died of a heart attack? I wonder how many people he screwd over and they died from stress, dealing with non-payments. Karma baby, you're the GREATEST!
