Possible fake Novomatic software found

Short intro to describe my findings:

It just came to my attention a casino I know about (but won't name) is using Novomatic software. I found this strange, as the casino is as far as I know in utter shambles, it's lacking a casino license from MGA and as far as I can tell is even lacking a UK license, although it is a UK based casino.

This tiny, curacao licensed casino is now suddenly offering both Amatic and Novomatic. I remember they didn't even want to pay their NetEnt provider for Norwegian currency, so even if your account was in NOK the NetEnt games showed a conversion to € only.

Now, to my question:

With Germany pulling Novomatics, are they really so desperate they offer their games to casinos with missing licenses? Knowing how difficult it has been for casinos in the past to get Novos on their sites, this makes me suspicious the casino is not offering legit games.

If you know how I can tell the difference between real and fraudulent Novomatic and/or Amatic software that would be great too. The novos seems to be running on Flash but I couldn't right click to get any info.

If any CM staff wants me to share the name of the casino I will, but I will not post it here.
If my suspicions are wrong I will happily retract anything said above but on the chance I am right I am posting this here. This would also be why I am not sharing the casinos name or further details.

If it's not got a UKGC or MGA license then they are almost certainly fake 2WinPower versions of the games. Don't worry about naming the casino, I'll be back within 2 minutes telling you if it's associated with crooks or not. If you don't want to name the casino then name the group at the bottom. I'll hazard a guess that it's Alpha Interactive, Yucatan maybe. If you've deposited there, wave goodbye to any winnings.

This is odd as the casino you PM'd me does indeed have a genuine UKGC license and doesn't even have Novomatics in their games list!
I can only assume you aren't in the UK so Novo's don't show for me here OR there is a rip-off copycat site in work here.:confused:

Does the Novomatic brand show up with EGT and a few other brands near the bottom for you?

And where did you find a UKGC license? I can't find any links to it from the page. Novomatic does appear as a category in the slots-sidebar, but they are huddled together with other providers.
It would honestly surprise me if they have IP blocked the games.

If you're on the .co.uk site you will get a different result btw, .com is the one I am referring to

I'll try with my VPN - they're certainly kosher from the UK side and do have a genuine UKGC License.
Yes, have tried and they look OK to me, all the games. And they DO have a genuine MGA license. Nothing of concern IMO.

Some games/developers are properly blocked from certain IP's for licensing reasons.

The MGA license is sportsbook only, no?
