Yes, it will be interesting for sure. I believe my $75.00 to be irretrievable. Suck hole NETeller processed my $100.00 bank account transfer on Jan. 11 when they knew they were going down. Cost me $8.90 to have it processed too. Pi$$e$ me off.

To NETeller, payment processors, and all casinos who have pulled the rug out from underneath US players:
BE CAREFUL OF THE TOES YOU STEP ON TODAY FOR THEY COULD BE ATTACHED TO THE ASS YOU HAVE TO KISS TOMORROW!

If YouTeller is what we think it is, chances are you will find your money ported over there at some point is my guess

I have $18.50 left on the Neteller ATM card but how on earth am I going to be able to get that out? No ATM around where I live will depense $10 bills. Even if I found one, the rest of the $8.50 will be reduced by ATM fees and Neteller fees...probably down to $3 or $4. I have yet to find a non-gambling retailer that uses Star or Pulse networks or whatever Neteller uses.

There's not a gas station around you that'll take it?

P.S. Can I get an option in this poll that's, say, an order of magnitude higher than $1,000?

Here a thought, CM opens BankMeister and accepts P2P NT transfers.

BankMeister sends funds to people less fee via another method.

Capitalism makes the world go round :D

Are there actually any non-gambling merchants that accept neteller? I remember in the past finding a site that would sell things like amazon gift certificates through neteller, but I can't remember the site or if it worked through p2p transfers or through an actual merchant account.

Become a merchant

Am i reading this thread right do some of u have 70k in neteler but cant spend it anywhere. How difficult would it be for one of you to set up an online store accepting neteller payments.
Then just as someone said transfer it to someone via another method less commision would this be illegal.
Also another option could you not deposit funds into someones casino account in another country like the uk the they could just cash it out for you.
Again is this illegal i knwo its illegal to deposit into your own account from neteller in the states but what is the law regarding other peoples accounts.

Can't you use the Neteller card for POS (Which is exactly what the card is) purchases? I know quite a few places that will take ATM cards to buy stuff...

70k. You really kept $70,000 in a zero interest account? Fortunately you can fly to the UK for $400. Open a British bank a/c, transfer the money and fly home.
You can travel to Mexico for a lot less than $400. I live about 40 miles from the Mexican border and have been looking into opening a Mexican bank account. The process is easier than I expected . Note that a 6-month residency visa is available for about $20 at the border and may be required for a bank account.

Regarding the original post, I have about $500 in my Neteller account. I haven't attempted a withdrawal yet. I've been keeping it open for peer to peer transfers. After reading the earlier posts about P2P, I'll start trying to get the money out.

Might prove to be a good short term solution aka, but I tend to think with the wod, war on gambling, etc. the Mexican gumnt would eventually mess with you.

Personally I would rather go to heathrow than Meheeco, I'd just feel safer.

btw, I've really enjoyed reading the long thread where you came on here, great info and a pleasure to read.

Did you ever figure out what happened to your neteller acct.? Like I said in that thread, for the days the attempted withdrawals occured it translated precisely to Venezualan bolivars. Hope that was some help.

I'm another unfortunate member of the 5K club...

aka23, I'd be very interested if you try the Mexican bank thing.

I had considered the same with a Canadian bank but figured I'd also need to establish a foreign address, no?

Again, here is some hyperbole and conjecture

TB looked into the site deeper than I did and found that they stopped offering debit cards a couple of weeks before the US/NT debacle. But something along this route or what WB posted with the 'introduction service' may be a good way for 'volume' players to stay in the game. Check the tabs at slogold, if they aren't up and up, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone who is; depending on volume$.

What I have learned through applications is that 'throughput' is not important unless it is accompanied by a sizable 'daily balance'. I'll have to try another route or use someone else's leverage because I was never smart enough to leave money in a US bank.

I am not promoting or endorsing any info I put out here, just posting.

I was told going to another country would not help you get US funds. You can open a foreign Neteller account, but they will not transfer your US Neteller funds. Neteller is also currently not taking new merchant applications.

I would suggest two add'l options for the poll, NEGATIVE money, and exactly zero.

Also, for high rollers like kengam, you might want to PM meister if you want to be contacted by a USA today reporter who's written a couple of stories about the debacle. He seemed slightly impressed when I had $4k stranded, I can imagine the heart attack he'd have talking to you!

Unfortunately, 14% of the people who answered this poll have more than $5000 in Neteller.

How long will non-US customers trust Neteller if its American customers aren't paid soon?

Good point Dirk, I started charting neteller stock when the uigea happened. There's a lot of money betting against them EVER paying off, and has been for awhile, maybe a long while. (earlier stock slide)

Here's a ridiculous thought; to hell with horse trax and lotteries , somebody shut down the world stock exchanges as gambling houses, huh? That would get their attention. From the little I know of law, anything is possible if the 'correct' money is lined up. A can of worms got opened when they slid that earmark/pork barrel through and I bet there are people far more pissed than the >$5k club. Scads and jillion$ Maybe there is something about nt they just aren't telling us? For all we know they are alQ

Anybody less lazy than me who can put this all together and post a cohesive neteller snippet? Anybody want to ask the pertinent questions? My brain is drowned in this mess. I'm out.

kengam, you were told that by Neteller?

That is, even if you legitimately moved out of the US and changed your address with Neteller, your funds are still frozen?

yes told this by a CSR and a manager contact of mine.

I am so lucky that one of my payments for close to 1k didn't go through :eek2:

I had close to 300 in there, I was also in the middle of a transfer to my account. It is lost somewhere between neteller and my bank.

What a complete mess this is. If I owned/ceo of neteller I would not have been in the usa at all.

Hi, is it possible to transfer $ from an US neteller account to a non US neteller private account?

If so it could be the solution to help some players out, having a swiss neteller account and a neteller ATM card. It should be possible for me to withdraw and then wire transfer money to any US bank accounts as a privat person.

Would this be viewed as being illegal?

best regards
Mike

Peer-to-peer transfers from US accounts are no longer possible.

For those of you looking to access the last bit of cash you stuck on your neteller card, 2 things....

1) you can access balance info, and even arrange an ACH transfer to your bank through the card site. Google FSV CARD and click on Cardholder Access link at the bottom of the page. FSV is printed on the back of your NT card.

2) point of purchase transactions are 75 cents. You merely need your PIN and you can load up on gas or starbucks.

I think the poll should include non-US customers.

I requested a bank wire withdrawal (to Australia) for 6500 USD four weeks ago, and have not received a penny. I have called them up multiple times, got differing replies, and e-mailed them three times with no reply. The money has long been deducted from my balance but seems to have disappeared into thin air with no prospect of it ever turning up. Worse, I have an additional 7000 USD stuck in Neteller, most of which was won after I made the withdrawal.

Just because you are a non-US customer doesn't mean you'll ever see your money.

I know for a fact that the ptp from US to non-US neteller customers was working on 31/01/07 - has it changed again since then?

I dont see what the problem is with moving funds this way as neteller still gets their slice at both ends, and if someone wants to give their money away to someone as a gift surely that isnt illegal??

You guys in the US really have it bad and I think what is happening is going to cost more money and manpower than setting up a regulator and a taxation scheme for online gaming....but maybe Im just being too logical

From NETeller's FAQ for US members:

Did NETELLER stop allowing US members to make fund transfers with online gambling sites?

Yes NETELLER recently announced that US members are no longer able to transfer funds to and from online gambling merchants. Please read our press release archive for more information or read the latest press release.

Why isnt my account certified anymore?

US member accounts have been temporarily de-certified to revoke Peer-to-Peer capabilities. These accounts should be automatically re-certified in the next few days, but Peer-to-Peer transfers will no longer be available to US members.

Why has my NETELLER account been closed? Can I do peer-to-peer transfers?

If you recently performed a Peer-to-Peer transfer, your account may have been temporarily closed. Your account should be automatically re-opened within a few days, but you will no longer be able to perform Peer-to-Peer transfers.

Why cant I use my NETELLER Card anymore?

The NETELLER Card is not available as a withdrawal option at this time.

We are doing our best to restore our withdrawal options but don't know how long this will take. In the meantime all customer funds held by NETELLER are maintained in segregated trust accounts. We will try to communicate any pertinent changes as soon as practicable.

NETeller is under siege by the DoJ, FBI, and a bunch of other acronyms. They're protecting us from losing our hard earned money to 'money launderers' and 'criminals'. Strange thing is, I never had any problems and always got my money from NETeller -- until the US gov't. got their fingers in the pie.
