NOONE knows me here but some members remember me for the gambling problem i had before!
I know its not normal asking someone which you dont know MONEY!
I start this topic with MEISTER and he did not answer me cause he maybe thinked what you all are thinking right now!
Sorry if i broke the privacy of 3 members here which i ask them money!
I just watch their winnings history and i thought something from them can be sent to me just to save the life of my brother cause he need expensive medicine for the drugs. to not take it anymore!
Anyway i know i use a bad method but just i feel so bad this days and i was thinking that good memebers here would understand me!

This is so sad all the way around, not only for the member being asked for money but also for the member that is asking.
Obviously there is a gambling problem here and yes it is uncool to think others will feed a person obsession to gamble. But I think this would have been handled better pm'ing the meister first and letting him know of this problem and handling it discretely. I see no reason for a public tar and feathering unless the situation continued.
So have to say, this thread just makes me feel bad for both parties involved and the rest of us shouldn't have to have been subjected to it.

, your post was spot on, if the need was for gambling, then there is a problem that maybe should have been handled in a private manner, i feel for those that cant control themselves, we all like to gamble or we wouldnt be here as we wouldnt have anything in common to yap about.I just hope this player if thats the problem gets help and i do pray that there isnt a family involved, sometimes people get desperate during bad times, so like you i feel for both parties................laurie

Hi Elis - sorry to hear of your troubles, and I just searched and found your email. Sorry not to get back to right away.
The problem with setting up donation spots for members is that it would be abused. Sure there are people with serious problems: Jinnia just lost her house and all of her belongings, Chayton has just undergone some major surgery, there are many many people here who could use extra cash for serious stuff. And then there are the gamblers.
Bottom line is that you shouldn't be asking others for cash - tempting as it may be. I hope you can find a solution to your problem without needing this kind of help from others.

Do you have a family member or Clergy that you can talk to, forgivness is easy as long as the person is being honest with himself and others, this being the most giving time of the year makes it harder for those in dispair, im sure there are folks out there that can help you with your problem.Its a cold world out there but there are orgs. that will help you as long as your willing to help yourself. I will be praying for you and hope that it guides you to the help that you may need..............laurie
Sure i have a family and they sure know about this problem but i feel so ashame with them and its not their fault if me and my brother make this big mistakes in our life.....we all know drugs and gambling are the most terrible sin in a life of a person when it comes to be a problem....

I can think of a whole list of sins worse than drugs and gambling but those two are a deadly combo mixed when your addicted, i would ask that you seek out a gambling and drug stepdown group or if you have neither in Albania, Clergy can always help or just a person whom you respect as a role model can be a great start in trying to fight of what now in your life has become a demon and is hurting you, people will help you as long as you are willing to help yourself, but not with money to gamble or buy drugs with, i wish you peace Prostudio

If those money will be used or i think to use them for gambling or drugs, i will pray that GOD punish me for that....and give to me the max or punishion but ..i cant listen the voice of gambling and drugs when i am in this situation....i can be sure of that....i am graduated professor in academy of arts here in albania and i am good integrated in intelectual life so i cant do that mistake....but you are right...people can get help with their ideas but not with money.....specially is those money will be used for gambling and drugs.

Drug addiction is in some ways similar to gambling addiction. Both act on "reward" pathways in the brain, and become an addiction when the person can no longer say "not now" to the urge. The treatment for both is similar, but varied. Some will say "cold turkey" is best - a sudden cessation. This, however, requires a high level of support to work in most cases. Another approach is "weaning", a gradual reduction to zero, also under the guidance of a professional. This method tends not to be used for Gambling or Alcohol addiction, but is used in many cases of drug addiction. Heroin addiction, for example, is treated using a substitute that gives the body what it needs, but without giving so much of the addictive "high". The dose of the substitute is then gradually reduced so that the body can return to normal, beating the physical addiction, and hoping that the will is stong enough not to be tempted into a relapse.
Gambling is mostly psycological, with any physical symptoms being psychologically induced. Treatment is complete abstinence, perhaps with the help of blocking software and self exclusion in the case of online gambling, and use of a country wide self banning order in the case of B & M casinos. Albania is one of the poorest countrys in Europe. It is also Europes "Nigeria" rife with corruption, fraud and criminal racketeering. Unless documented evidence can be produced by a reputable third party to substantiate his claim then he should be ignored.
In this case the person has forgot one very important detail.....what exactly is the money for? We know now who its for but not what its for, is it for treatment? Caring? whats the illness? whats the prospects? There is absolutly no detail at all.
Money does not solve a gambling problem nor a drug problem, it simply perpetuates the downward cycle. If you can afford to be on the net in Europes poorest country then you can afford to use the net more wisely to seek out the help you need.
These kind of scams prey on peoples gullibility, for every 100 rejections, their will always be one person who will offer help.

Yes he fell for a classic 419 scam. These scams have been around now for a decade and people are still falling for them. There are even internet forums set up for them now to tackle this kind of stuff.
You can't afford to get emotional with these criminals, especially when there is a sob story behind it. Otherwise your just playing right into their hands.
In the UK begging is a criminal offence.

What makes the story I linked even more "odd" (couldnt find a correct word) is that its from 2007 and the guy used Myspace. So he wasnt totally a interent "noob" and by 2007 I assumed everyone knew about these scams. And he actually fell for it TWICE.

What gets me and this seriously pisses me off when they use family members and real life tragedies to ask for money. Now if he was in bad shape why is he using the internet it isn't free. The only thing I can suggest is going to your local support center. Asking people on this forum is not the way to go members here might feel slighted after all its a gambling forum.
You need to please be honest and if your brother needs medicine he can go to the hospital and they will take care of whatever is ailing him. If you have a gambling problem I suggest you get help for that.

Im sorry, but Im going to be the one to say it (others have skirted around it)and cop the flak.
This is a big steaming pile of BS. It smells so bad I currently have a handkerchief around my nose and mouth just so I can type.
C'mon gang....this guy ADMITS he 'used to have a gambling problem'....which has now magically disappeared...???? Please. Oh, and where did he want the funds sent??? to the hospital?? the doctor??....nope. moneybookers - an online payment system used primarily for GAMBLING.
He wants the money for 'expensive drugs to get his brother off drugs'....so not only is the money 'not for him', it is for his 'brother'. I have a cousin who had a drug problem, and I know for a fact he didnt need any 'drugs' to help him get off the 'drugs'. Yes, I know there ARE medicines that assist like methadone etc, but it isnt the ONLY way....and I have seen studies showing that rehab/cold turkey is still the most effective method, and last time I checked cold turkey was free. Painful, difficult, but nonetheless free.
How about the Red Cross? How about seeking help from websites that provide advice and support for addicts and their families? You aint gonna get that from a GAMBLING website are you??? No, but you might find someone stupid enough to actually give you money, which I fear is the purpose of your panhandling.
The best way to help your brother is to have his stay at your house, convince him to go cold turkey and nurse him through the withdrawals like a loving relative. You dont need MONEY for that, just love and compassion. You need to face the fact that if your brother doesnt WANT to stop, no medicine in the world is going to work...he will just go back. Cold turkey HURTS and it is horrible...I have seen it....but remember it was your brother who chose to take the drugs in the first place and it is his responsibility to put and end to it....no addict of any kind will EVER be free of their addiction until they take full personal responsibility for their own actions and decide they want a better life.
Now, if you want anyone to actually take you seriously then you need to name the medicine required, the cost, and the amount needed. You could also post a pic of your brother and tell us more about his problem. Im not holding my breath.
As always, I will stand corrected if I get it wrong but if anyone seriously thinks they can trust an unknown guy from the poorest part of Albania who 'used' to have a gambling problem (cant have been that poor to begin with....) with their hard-earned cash then it probably explains why there are so many people in Nigeria getting rich overnight.

First off I want to say that when I said this problem should have not made it to a thread I meant the person/persons you were soliciting should have turned the matter over to the meister or a moderator.
As for you thinking this is a rich country, let me give you some reality, there are millions here that are on welfare and food stamps. Living on the streets, eating at food kitchens just to survive. Although there may be rich people in this country, I seriously doubt you will find them on this or any other forum and I also seriously doubt that you would find them to be generous, that is why they are rich because they are horders of money and property and when they see a poor beggar on the street they will more than likely just walk around them with a look of disgust.
When people in other countries look at the US they have this false illusion that it is a place of wealth and grandeur, mostly because these ideas have been shaped by movies and mainstream media, but it is just that, an illusion.
Our dollar is only worth 4 cents, we don't own our national parks, we don't own our ports, we have lost most of our industries to other countries thus putting millions out of work. People are losing their homes because jobs are dissapearing and they can't make the horrid mortgage payments, they are losing their vehicles to be able to go out and seek jobs because they can't make the car payments or keep up the insurance that is by law required.
You can look at our big fabulous cities and churches from a distance and think how grand and glorious it must be to live in such a country. But take a closer look and you will see people begging on the streets, sleeping in alleys and cardboard boxes. You may watch tv evangelists on the stages in their palaces with their Armani suits, gold watches and jewelry and perfect hair and you know if you have any sense at all that they are not helping the poor in this country because greed has overcome them as well and they only help themselves to continue to live the lifetstyles of the rich and famous while members of their very own churches tith their last money they have in their pockets because they think the prosperity preaching will reward them as they see it has rewarded these preachers. Yet they go home hungry, out of work, still can't make their bills, lose everything they have and live in fear and dread for what tomorrow will be.
As for thinking because people here gamble and are making money, well they most likely need what they do happen to win to pay their mortgages, car payments, insurance payments, medical, gas, bills, groceries, help their families and I could go on. So not all these winners are just playing for fun because they have money coming out their asses. Most people are only spending $25, $35 or whatever and very occasionally hit it lucky. But gambling is just that a gamble because there are many as well that lose everything. So you can't expect gambling to solve your problems, it never will.
So don't use the example of the crap on tv to judge this country by, because there are plenty of people here that couldn't tell you the difference between living here in the US from living in Romania or any other of the poorest countries.

I think that sometimes the forums online can open one up for less than good behavior, and this kind of thread could help educate newbies, or people who might take the asking party as telling truth.
I have heard of this at a casino I play at, although quite sometime ago a year maybe. There is also a similar kind of thing that happened with Gone Gambling. Except that one went way beyond a simple asking. As I recall it was quite elaborate attempt.
Anyway, John over there sent an email and said do not fall for sob stories and by all means send no money to anyone. The risk is quite real that some nice person could be taken advantage of.
Yeah I am sure that in this economy anyone would welcome money, but there are no no's. This is the kind of thing that makes forums look bad. Its quite the opposite in reality ..because this was posted , then hopefully nobody will get hurt.

free medicine. Almost every single drug company offers a certain amount of meds for free, especially if its for a serious condition. It is not something that is too publicized. But I know of this first hand, from a relative of mine.

I think that sometimes the forums online can open one up for less than good behavior, and this kind of thread could help educate newbies, or people who might take the asking party as telling truth.
I have heard of this at a casino I play at, although quite sometime ago a year maybe. There is also a similar kind of thing that happened with Gone Gambling. Except that one went way beyond a simple asking. As I recall it was quite elaborate attempt.
Anyway, John over there sent an email and said do not fall for sob stories and by all means send no money to anyone. The risk is quite real that some nice person could be taken advantage of.
Yeah I am sure that in this economy anyone would welcome money, but there are no no's. This is the kind of thing that makes forums look bad. Its quite the opposite in reality ..because this was posted , then hopefully nobody will get hurt.

If you want money, you should send a mail to everyone on this list. They as you, are also very honest , and Im sure they will give you lots of donations, and since they are not connected to the forum, it will not upset the members and the casinomeister.

Actually I'm both! I've had several people here on the forum gift me some money to play with recently because I was broke and bored - or broke and stressed. I'd never ask for money to gamble with - the people who did gift me money made the offer, I didn't go chasing after them begging after they had a big win. That's just not cool, no matter what justification you think you have.
And as far as having another reason for asking for money....c'mon seriously - this is a gambling forum. If you weren't a gambler you wouldn't be a member here. If I couldn't afford my medicine or had trouble paying my bills or anything, I'd hit up my friends or my family or I'd find an online agency that could help or a forum where people would give me advice on what services are available to me in my country. I certainly wouldn't join a gambling forum and start hitting up total strangers with my sob story.
EDIT: If anyone would like to hear my sob story...? Nevermind, just kidding....

This may sound a little funny but im almost 100% sure I've seen this person around the pokerroom forum doing theb exact same thing, what stands out si the name, I actually think s/he is using the same name as before.
Was very prolific in asking for money and was online nearly everyday asking to be gifted.
Some I've seen you will tell them to GO AWAY! and they just dont get it, they will keep at you and keep at you.
It's like something is just not clicking up there and even though you say no 20 odd times they still think there is a slim chance they may get something and if they think you may give them something they will then say jesus is watching over you or the will pray for you.
your right though if someone can afford the internet they can surely afford to help a family memeber out.

It was a mistake and i accepted.....
For laurie and some other members who really belived to me i just wanted to inform that i do not gamble anymore and i am paying ( for one year or more ) all my debts and also my brother do not take anymore drugs.....
God helped us and i wish will help all of you on all your needs....

If you're "not gambling anymore" why would you need to visit here anyway? I would have thought someone with such a serious problem would be avoiding anything to do with gambling.
If you wanted your account re-opened you should have contacted Bryan instead of using your brother's account.
