Hello all,

My name is Rob and I'm with the Technical Support team for the 400 Group casinos (Cocoa Casino and Paradise 8 among them).

As you can tell, Rival is the newest Casino software on the net, and we're working out some small kinks. CasinoForumu, your deposit has been cleared and I do apologize for the delay.

As for the googlemail address used, the operators have been informed that this needs to be updated. Unforunately, MoneyBookers is not available on the weekends for Merchant Services. Rest assured, it was meant only to be a temporary email while accounts were being set up.

Payments are processed within 2 business days. The cashout limit of 2K per day was taken as a standard for new users, regular players of course enjoy higher banking limits. The operators believe that this limit is reasonable and in line with other casinos.

I will be closely monitoring this forum for feedback and comments, however if you have any problems please contact the casino support staff directly.

Cheers,

Rob

Welcome to the forum, Rob and good luck with your new business - it sounds as if you have been experiencing a few teething problems! Nice looking games, though!

How about telling us a little more about your operation?

1) What is the relationship between Rival (software) and 400 Group (operator?) Is there more than just a provider-operator link?

2) Why doesn't the 400 Group.net site come up?

3) Who is Black Chip Limited and what is the relationship between Black Chip, the 4 Rival-powered casinos, 400 Group and Rival?

4) Where are these companies situated? I note that you are in Canada?

5) The anonymous domain registrations and use of googlemail, could suggest a lack of transparency, and your livechat seems to be glitching somethat?

6) What is the parent company behind Rival Software? Is it a publicly listed entity?

7) Has the Rival software RNG been independently tested and if so by whom?

8) Are Paradise8, DaVincis Gold, This is Vegas and Cocoa all owned by one operator?

9) How long has the software been in development? Did you develop your own source code ie is this entirely proprietary software?

10) What future games and innovations are planned?

11) Why the limited choice of financial options?

12) Where is your customer Support situated?

13) Do you have a direct channel at Rival for clients with a problem they have been unable to resolve at casino level?

14) Do you have any business relationships with existing gambling software providers?

15) Who is the boss and who is on the management team at 400 Group and Rival? Al Maslovsky who I understand is the marketing manager does not respond to emails?

Questions

Whoa, a little bit more than a Tech Support guy can answer :)

I will forward those questions to the appropriate people and get back to you all ASAP.

Rob

Excellent Questions Jetset!

We ran 2 $20 No Deposits for Cocoa and one for Paradise8 at our forum during the past week or so.

Everyone really loves the slots, including me. They are very well designed, as far as the entertainment factor goes. I had no problem downloading or installing personally. I haven't made a deposit yet. A good majority of the people had no problem. But there were a good portion that had problems downloading, installing, registering. Rob has been outstanding and has closely monitored it all 3 times. Helping people as they posted they needed help.

I'm very interested to know more about them and look forward to these answers to your questions Jetset. I've been wanting to know the answers to some of those myself already.

Thanks Rob.. for monitoring all this so well, and staying on our questions and so on. It's very much appreciated.

Well, I am about to play Islots since these are supposed to be the mother of all slots.

One remark to the tech: Please alow the windows to be minimized.

The download of this slot was extra long, and I am patient because I hear interesting things about it. BUT I would have liked to minimize the window while downloading and gotten some work done. Once you start this download you are stuck staring a the sceen.

Off to check out the game when I get a minute....

Dominique,

Thank you for your interest in our games. We appreciate the feedback!

Good luck!

Rob

I layed one of the Islots for a bit and it is very nice.

I would think that anyone going through the trouble of developing software like this plans to be in it for the long run.

I find this software very interesting.

They accept money when their software has so many glitches? I didn't have the time and willingness to check every single game thoroughly but i spotted some mistakes easily.

Find out what is wrong in the pics below

I thought the dealer hits on soft 17:what:

:eek2: The hand did end with the player having 4 and banker 9 but why doesn't the software assings the right values on the cards on the screen?

Hmmmm...I'm no baccarat player, but I assume that's wrong?

Hello all,

First, the blackjack issue - this was a miss-configuration in the backend, one that, I might add, is in the player's favor. I've sent this to the operators to adjust the rules to match the felt.

As for the Baccarat. The issue here is that the hand totals are displayed before the animations are done (eg, the rest of the cards are drawn on the screen). The values were correct after the remaining cards were animated on the screen. This is a valid issue, albight a minor animation one. If the player puts the game on "fast" the animation is removed and the hand totals are immediately displayed for the game.

Thank you gfkostas, we appreciate the feedback.

Rob

Well, the islots are great, very entertaining and a lot like what I have been telling folks in Amsterdam slots should be like.

I also played one of the other feature slots and it was nice.

I like the software. I am still having issues with the full screen function.

I already sent this "Baccarat-glitch" screenshot (via PM) to Rob today,
and he forwarded this "glitch" to the graphics people to modify the animations.

I need to admit, that you really care. You are here almost 24/7.
And i got your replies within few minutes.
Thanks Rob!

Am glad to be of help.
I don't like the idea that i cant play any other games while I have one downloading. I cant even minimize the window which is irritating.
Also I would prefer to be able to see the BJ rules while am at the table like microgamings casinos.
How many decks you use? if 6-8decks it would be better if the dealer stands on soft 17 as it makes it a bad BJ game in comparison to other online casinos where the house edge isn't over 0.50%.

Fun Games But....

Got me to download casino with all this talk...

Had a little trouble the first three times trying to install the software. Kept locking up on me when I went to put my birth month in...finally after the third time, I turned off the music and then proceeded to register and it went along just fine after that. So if you lock up...turn off the sound before installing!

1) I was a little disappointed in the bonus games because when you hit the bonus round scatters during the free spin it does not retrigger the game as a lot of games do nowadays...and with the paybacks so small nowadays, this is where you can actually almost break even IMHO. :(

2) Free spins spin so fast, you barely have time to register what in the world hit/or didn't hit. :eek2:

3) Need a don't ask me again button on the auto spin, or something to keep from having to check it after every bonus round/game change.

4) I also played 3 card poker (which I like to dabble in a lot) and don't see where the payoff is except to stare at the chips to see if the right payoff has been payed. Would be nice to view the payoff amounts on a win on the screen. :what:

Otherwise, I am still in the testing stages...really like the bonus games...interesting and different. Hoping the fine tuning comes around quick...love to put a buck or two in myself....:D

Still no answer to my questions, and a couple of others I have submitted following further enquiries. It has been a holiday weekend so one shouldn't expect too much this early.

So, I'll just *BUMP* this as a reminder for Rob.

Sorry if i sound sceptical but i dont think your questions will be met satisfactory though I hope to be proved wrong:eek2:

I don't see why not - these are all legitimate and straightforward business questions which any company that is on the level should have no problem answering. It certainly does not give any commercial secrets away or endanger business confidentiality.

Actually with the help of a few other curious industry observers we've already assembled quite a lot of information on these guys, which I am holding back for now in order to ensure that it checks out with their responses. We wouldn't want to publish inaccurate or speculative information.

It's now mid-morning on the Canadian east coast, and a normal business day following the Easter break but we have not yet received a response.

Ho hum....

Deposited my $25 and got the extra $43 bonus. After about 50 spins I'm down less than a dollar. Islots, with their increasing levels, are really cool. Lots of Flash animations. Haven't seen any messages in the thread about cashing out so that's a worry. Learned to use "Options" to slow down the play and run it in a window. Some trouble seeing bank account on a small monitor as it's at the very botton of the screen. Last but not least, the program has crashed my PC. The "funniest" crash was during the account registration when the sound card froze as I indicated my home state.

Overall rating (preliminary) - nice alternative to Microgaming site but not quite ready for prime time at the software level.

I made some reasearch, and you had good questions jetset.

But AFAIK, Rob is a Tech Support Guy - based what he said.
Not a Casino manager/owner/etc.

I don't know are they rogue or reputable casino,
but i believe that he forwarded your questions to appropriate people,
like he said.

Please be patience

Ok - Turning the sound off did the trick (Cheers silcnlayc!)

Gotta say - I think the slots are *fantastic*! Really enjoying the bank job one, and I agree the progression thing is a great idea for a) Keeping the player interested and b) Locking the player in for the casino's benefit! Nice work!...

Now - because I know nothing of the back office, setup, reliability etc - I am unwilling to deposit *just* yet... I'll never deposit real money in a casino without a real world bonafide recommendation! Mind you, if that no deposit bonus is still knocking around, count me in! ;)

Really hope the admin/support stacks up - as your slots are great!

What does this mean GrandMaster? What return are they referring to? Bear with me as I know very little about this aspect of things. :)

All I do know is that anything being overdue is not good.
