Did anyone see Palin's interview with Barbara Walters? I tried to. After a few minutes of some clips fox news played, I had to shut the T.V off. She truly will ruin anything we have left of the Republican party. She needs to quickly disappear from the limelight.

Ah now Cheryl, don't be so hard on Sarah...she is trying her best to be all that she can be and what everyone of her supporters in the campaign thought that she could be as the Vice President. :D

Would you still feel this way about her if she were in fact our Vice President now?

I knew our party was screwed when McCain picked her. If she was our V.P. that would be the day I would have became a Blue Dog Democrat. She is an embarrassment to the Republican party. Oh and Rob, thanks for the Icon on your page I can't keep my 7 year old away from wanting to see it every minute! lol

I definitely agree with you on that one. Out of all the choices he had to choose from...why he chose her is beyond my comprehension, assuming he actually wanted to win it.

I can't stand McCain either. I can't believe these were the choices we had.Besides the fact that he is hardly Conservative (my opinion ) He was acting very senile on the campaign trail and still is. I think it is his time to retire.

Sara Palin... a good example of what is wrong with our political system.
Every time I see her, All I see is an Ex-Beauty Queen that wants to play politician...

I can't believe the talking heads are putting her as the front runner for the Republican Presidential nomination for 2012.

I agree she was not the best choice but strategically McCain was down in the polls and against a younger candidate with tramendous appeal to the younger generation and needed to bring life to the ticket. The reality is that no VP would have changed the outcome of the election.

On the other hand, Joe Biden was a safe choice but to me symbolizes a beltway insider - the very cancer that pervades American politics.

Maybe the better half of the McCain's would be more interesting? Especially to Bryan although he probably prefers that skunky German beer :D (and forget the drug addiction; I'm thinking of having one too with our current administration) :o

Cindy Lou Hensley McCain (born May 20, 1954) is an American businesswoman, and philanthropist, and the wife of United States Senator and 2000 and 2008 presidential candidate John McCain of Arizona.

She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona as the daughter of wealthy beer distributor Jim Hensley. After receiving bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Southern California, she became a special education teacher. She married John McCain in 1980 and they had three children together as well as adopting another. From 1988 to 1995 she founded and ran a non-profit organization, the American Voluntary Medical Team, that organized trips by medical personnel to disaster-struck or war-torn third-world areas. (something about drugs here but I deleted it - it was just mean. :D)

Upon her father's death in 2000, she inherited majority control and became chair of Hensley & Co., one of the largest Anheuser-Busch beer distributors in the United States. She participated in both of her husband's presidential campaigns and in 2008 drew both positive and negative scrutiny for her appearance, demeanor, wealth, spending habits, and financial obligations. She continues to be an active philanthropist and serves on the boards of Operation Smile, CARE and HALO Trust, frequently making overseas trips in conjunction with their activities.

This is old news. Is there a point to your post?

McCain polls were up he was ahead by 3-9 percentage in public opinion polls prior to the collapse of Lehman Brothers which facilitated the near collapse of the U.S financial system.

5 thanks for your post. I already used up the Ten on The Thank You button LOL

I watched her last night on Hannity and i thought she came off really well, i cant understand why most women dont like her, she's smart, down to earth, hell the woman can gut her own kill from hunting, most women today wouldnt have a clue as to where their meat comes from except the grocery store, let alone how it got on the shelves lol.

I still dont see her as a contender for 2012, but i dont see her sitting on the sidelines either, she's not strong enough to carry the GOP as President or VP imo but i wouldnt count her out of the political venue yet.............laurie

Because she does not show she understands what actually is going on in the world. She always has an easy interview on fox news.I felt when Babara Walters recently interviewed her and asked her a fair question " What do you think about Israel continuing to build settlements" Palins answer

I disagree with the Obama administration on that, Palin said. I believe that the Jewish settlements should be allowed to be expanded upon, because that population of Israel is, is going to grow. More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead. And I dont think that the Obama administration has any right to tell Israel that the Jewish settlements cannot expand.

I think the answer speaks for itself on how out of the loop she is. She had plenty of time to study up on world Politics by now to understand the questions. If we G-d forbid had another 911 and the choice of who will make the decision of what to do for the safety of our country, was either Hillary Clinton or Sara Palin, I would not think twice about it and choose Hillary.Just my opinion.

I think Palin is smarter then all of you give her credit for.

Even if she thinks she is qualified for future office, she recognizes she could never be elected with the main stream media on her ass for every move she makes.

So, next best thing...quit politics, cash in on fame, become a multi millionaire. Hell she may be the next white Oprah. At least she recognized where she stands and is smart enough to cash in.

She has no intentions of running for future office. But by acting as if she might and is unsure, the left wing media scared to death of her fame won't back off and will keep her in the spotlights, helping her sell a few more million books and long enough to get her the big contract for TV or the movies. Plus the millions of dollars under the table money from future politicians for endorsements.

Look how Mel Gibson cashed in with all the controversy from the chruch and media with that Jesus movie.

This woman was wanted and was on every possible TV show, news outlet, etc. etc. boasting ratings to record breaking highs, (sorry Lettermen, your just an advertising tool)

This Palin is a much smarter woman then you think!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I agree she is an intelligent woman. She has accomplished much more then most at her age. I like her as a person. I was replying on why I did not like her for a V.P.

Every time I see her, All I see is an Ex-Beauty Queen that wants to play politician...

I can't believe the talking heads are putting her as the front runner for the Republican Presidential nomination for 2012.

Believe it. And believe this: Palin/Limbaugh 2012. Why are you laughing? STOP THAT! It's not (that) funny. After eight years of Bush/Cheney do you actually doubt that the Republicans wouldn't seat Palin/Limbaugh if they thought, even for an instant, that they could ever scratch and claw their way back from the distant and dim reaches of the fringe they now inhabit to be taken seriously enough as a major political party to pull it off? They'd elect Heckle n Jeckle if they could and for the exact, same reason and for the one reason only that they have ever elected anyone to the Oval Office since Roosevelt - to piss off the left. Period.

To hell with the Country and the rest of the world - election time has been and forever will be nothing but pay back time to the right and their shot at some get-back for those rat-bastid pinkos Woodward and Bernstein's foiling Richard Nixon's plot to become Ruler of The Universe. And for that smug expression Bill Clinton still walks around with on his mug even after the right exposed him to the whole world for lying about that blowjob! And women's right to choose, fer crissake! And still hardly any prayer in schools! Or ten commandments in public areas of city halls! And for the left's tryin' to get "under God" out of the pledge of allegence and "In God We Trust" off a the money! And sex education and not forced abstinance! And getting caught cheating on their wives after running on "family values" platforms or beinig outed all the time after authoring all of those great anti-gay rights bills! And evolution! So, as you can plainly see, it's not that difficult to understand why the Republicans feel so threatened when issues as vital as these are at stake.

Do you think, for an instant, that the Republicans have stopped fuming over the fact that it was Bill Clinton who went and got Laura Ling and Euna Lee out of North Korea and not Dick Cheney when it was, after all, Dick Cheney, around that time, and not Bill Clinton, who was getting all that great exposure, nearly every day for like a week anna half, no, maybe two weeks at least, or more, even, due to his dis-Obama media blitz? And do you think the Republicans have forgotten how Will Farrell's portrayal of George Bush, no matter how over the top and ridiculously stupid he played George W, no one ever suggested that Farrell might have over-acted, even a little bit, here and there?

So you see, now, why you should stop laughing? Any minute now? C'MON! THIS IS SERIOUS!!!

This appeared to be the case some 9 months ago but the Obama honeymoon is almost over and he ain't lookin' so good without makeup.

Slowly back away from the bomb, I promise we'll read your full manifesto later ;)

Bill Clinton has had 'rock star' status in N. Korea for some time. He could relate to Kim Jung Il having to fess up after uranium stains were found on the palace carpet. :p:p

The Movie " The Distinguished Gentleman " with Eddie Murphy is pretty much as close as you can get to seeing what Politics is really all about. LOL
Great Movie.

It wont be Palin running in 2012, you can take that to the bank, if we still have any more banks left by then:eek:

It will be someone who hasnt been that much in the limelight as i imagine he and i said he is being groomed now for that run. I look for Palin to be in some sort of cabinet position but not in the 2 top spots, its just not her time yet:thumbsup:..............laurie

...I look for Palin to be in some sort of cabinet position...................laurie

Cabinet position? Like, "doggy style", maybe??? She's done pretty damn well for herself, as it is, I'll say that much for her. (I'll go ahead and confess right here: I don't like her politics one bit. But, hey, my best freind of over 35 years hadda quit the John Birch Society when they got to "liberal" for him, so we all can still be friends, right?) I just wouldn't start goin' crazy or anything, predicting presidential appointments for S.P., quite yet.

Maybe Amb. to Russia, after all she can see it from her backyard:lolup:...................laurie...............ps.......just dont count her out for anything political in the future was what i meant to say.................

Palin running for V.P again or President is a guarantee of a full 8 years for Obama! And Limbaugh will never run for office. He makes so much money doing what he loves best. I was told The Republican Party is grooming Governor Bobby Jindal to run for President.

I could have just as easily chosen William Marcy (Boss) Tweed/Charles Forbes or Kim Jong II/Robert Mugabe. My point: No one is too low for a GOP presidential nomination. Who else would re-elect Bush after the first four years? And defend their actions even today? With a straight face? I rest my case.

And unless I think that he's not the best bet to stave off a GOP nominee in '12, whoever it turns out to be (no, that's not a prediction of who I think it'll be either) I'll vote for Obama, again. Eight, long years of the Bush horrors was enough shame to last me a lifetime. I could barely look my international friends in the face. And that was the day after Bush was elected the first time!

Jindal, you say? LOL! "Groomed" is right! Well said! So...whose the lucky guy who was chosen to keep his big, fat hand all lubed and up Jindal's ass, sufficiently stretching it out to readily accommodate all of the manipulating hands of the top GOB puppet masters whom will be called upon to make this simp walk and talk on the improbable day that Bobby (I Want to be a REAL, live boy!) Jindal is inaugurated?

And are you trying to tell me that, as rich as he is, already, if he thought he had a chance in a billion, with his ego, (we are talkin' about the same Rush Limbaugh, right? See below. No, look again, close, cuz I wanna make sure he's the guy) that RL wouldn't jump at the chance to be the Prez? Could I, possibly, interest you in a hell of a bargain on this little bridge nestled right between Manhattan and Brooklyn?

I did:D Do you feel better or sleep better at night with the President and cabinet we have in office now, i felt safe with him(bUSH) in office after 911, then i do at this moment:eek:.

Im no Bush hater but i do not uphold on alot of things he did, we were safe at home while on his watch and that means alot.

As the world seems to be going to hell in a hand basket, we need to refoucus on we as a nation and whats good for the maj. of Americans not just a few with grudges or wild ass ideas, the American people will have the chance to vote and make a new change in 2010 and i sure will be voting..........will you?............laurie

Obviously, I feel better and sleep better at night for every reason from A-Z plus all of letters of the alphabet not even discovered yet, with Bush out and anybody else, in. I feel that if we were safe at all at home under Bush, then we were safe in spite of GB being president and certainly not because of it.

Maybe it's just me, but someone who conspired, (ever since he was first approached to consider running for president by Cheney and Rumsfeld while still governor of TX - told him that winning a war in Iraq would be "his glorious contribution to history") to invade Iraq, a country that had done nothing to deserve it, by making up lies about weapons of mass destruction and stooping so low as to play upon the fears instilled in the American people from 9/11 so they would go along with it, when Iraq was absolutely no threat to us, or to anybody else for that matter so that the result was the of killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people and ruining the lives of countless others and squandering the lives of thousands of men and women in our military and destroying the lives of untold thousands of U.S. military families and loved ones, at a cost fradulently inflated by the corruption of cronies via no-bid contracting, while nearly destroying everything America holds near and dear over the war in Iraq, for nothing other than personal glorification, after totally abandoning the pursuit of the real perpetrators of 9/11 in Afghanistan to do so and while establishing his greatness for the history books had totally ignored all of the signs of the inpending, downward, spiraling economy, (no skin off his nose, after all! just like Katrina!) the negligence of which created the worst economic crisis since the great depression and blatantly disregarded and violated the constitution and the bill of rights in the process and if all of the above wasn't enough, shamed the United States, for the first time, in the eyes of the entire world, isn't the kind of president that usually makes me feel "safe".
But can't I respect your opinions without sharing them?

So what do you say we just talk gambling and not quibble about politics. But, in answer to your question, the short answer would have to be, "No", I can honestly say that I wont be voting (for president) in 2010 and that it is my sincerest hope that you don't think the lessor of me for it.

Yes. I do. I agree. And that's why, as long as I know that you will be voting, too, I haven't missed voting in any election whether national, state, city or dogcatcher since 1975.

But I need an hour, at least after posting (prematurely) just to edit. So I'm not sure if you even know what you're replying to. Not in this post but before and before that. :o I think.

After watching the video of Bush when he was told our Nation was under attack on 9/11... I was scared shitless for our entire Nation.

In that video it is oh so obvious for anyone to see that George Bush was like a deer caught in the head lights... he had no idea what to do... and no one was there to tell him what to do... for seven minutes...

SEVEN MINUTES... before George Bush's "handlers" returned to tell him what to do... Our Country was in the hands of a scared rich kid who didn't have a clue and who was frozen with fear... Good thing we weren't under a real military attack... or we would all be dead or prisoners or war.

Here is the video... watch it yourself and then tell me you slept good at night knowing this coward was in charge...

When the the Aid leans over and whispers to Bush all he says to the president is... "Our Nation is under attack...". Watch Bush's eyes when he realizes his "handlers" are gone.... He even pickes up a book and pretends to read it.. but it is upside down... See the relief in his face when his "handlers" return.

You think it's odd that he was not even curious enough about the "Attack" to call the Aid that whispered in his ear back to ask for more info...

I wonder what was going through this cowards mind for those very very LONG seven minutes.

One thing is for sure, Bush was NOT acting like the President of our Nation and Leader of our Military should act after just being informed that we had been attacked....

Obama may not be a Warrior, but I do not believe he is a coward or that he will freeze up with fear at the first real problem he has to face. Of course, I could be wrong about him and he could be just as big a coward as Bush... but for all our good, I sure hope he's not.

Bull Crap!!!!!!!!! He was no coward, i thought he handled it damn well, i just pray Obama never has the same thing happen, but wait a min. he would prolly be in another country bowing and saying he is sorry for past wrongs by us as a nation, or accepting another prize lol:rolleyes: well maybe the teleprompter can tell him what to do:D.............laurie

i thought he handled it damn well
We are gonna hafta agree to disagree on that.

No leader sits and does nothing for even a few seconds after being told we are under attack... IMMEDIATE action is what is required from a Leader at a time of attack... ask any military person.

So...whose the lucky guy who was chosen to keep his big, fat hand all lubed and up Jindal's ass, sufficiently stretching it out to readily accommodate all of the manipulating hands of the top GOB puppet masters whom will be called upon to make this simple walk and talk on the improbable day that Bobby (I Want to be a REAL, live boy!) Jindal is inaugurated?

And are you trying to tell me that, as rich as he is, already, if he thought he had a chance in a billion, with his ego, (we are talkin' about the same Rush Limbaugh, right? See below. No, look again, close, cuz I wanna make sure he's the guy) that RL wouldn't jump at the chance to be the Prez? Could I, possibly, interest you in a hell of a bargain on this little bridge nestled right between Manhattan and Brooklyn?

I concur. Limbaugh handles his cigar like a penis fallacious and would use it to put in Jindal's honey anytime he wants. Limbaugh would put his cigar in Palin, but he already did and found the sweet spot dry as a kite above and below, lol.

I know Rush, personally. and he isn't going to run for any office, not President or Post Master. He has Tiger Woods issues on a more minor scale so to speak. I can tell you who will run, but no one would believe me and it isn't Pawlenty, Jindal or Palin.

I am enough in the know, to tell you the Republicans will recapture the House in 2010. They will narrowly lose the Senate by two votes in 2010. Obama will be Cauterized by his re-election as Emanuel is really a dope thug from Chicago as we all know. A mob can run a drug ring, gambling, extortion and racketeering. They can not run a government. We already have too much fiat money out there; Obama will try to collapse the Economy and blame Bush for the problems. It won't work. The next candidate for the United States is a major player in the Corporate World and totally will shock you.

DO tell Rambler or atleast a hint:D..................laurie

Bull Crap!!!!!!!!! He was no coward, i thought he handled it damn well, i just pray Obama never has the same thing happen, but wait a min. he would prolly be in another country bowing and saying he is sorry for past wrongs by us as a nation, or accepting another prize lol:rolleyes: well maybe the teleprompter can tell him what to do:D.............laurie

So, if someone who would fabricate reasons to invade Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11, is not a coward, what is he? When Saddam Hussein was no threat to the U.S or any other country (remember, we were basically up Saddam's ass 24/7 since Desert Storm) but Bush sought to portray Saddam as a threat and approve phony evidence to back it up because he had fully intended to invade Iraq if he should win the presidency, and had been looking for the slightest excuse to do so since his inauguration for no other reason than personal glory and to line the pockets of his buddies without the slightest regard, whatsoever, as to the sacrifice of the lives thousands of U.S. Military Personnel and their families not to mention the unimaginable misery and horror that the people of Iraq have endured is not a coward, what is he? And if someone justified the continued loss of American lives and the lives of innocents by repeatedly referring to "his" war as the War on Tear(sic) long after the whole world already knew that that was total BS is not a coward, what is he? A brave and forthright hero?

These are not my opinions. These are the documented facts that are being written into the history books. This is what Bush was and what Bush still is. I just don't understand why anyone would insist on defending him when practically everything he did as President was inexcusable, never mind, indefensible. And whatever your opinion of what Obama might have done in the same situation, it will never be more than just that: an opinion. Because Obama had nothing to do with it. But, to no fault of his own, he sure inherited it and is dealing with it, now. Along with the rest of Bush's mess. And it has proven to be the nasty, thankless job that everyone, including Barak Obama, knew it would be before he ever started. Not that Bush gives a rat's ass. Or Cheney or Rumsfeld for that matter. Any more than newborn babes give a damn about who changes their diaper just as long as someone is cleaning up their shit.

And at least Obama can read.

I think you forgot about J.E.C., L.B.J., F.D.R. and J.F.K., but thats OK seems like it has become a pattern lately that some neo-con types keep making statements that just are not true... Isn't this BS that Obama is the MOST liberal president in history being repeated by that moron Glen Beck at the moment?

Where does this moron Beck get this stuff? Does he just pull it out of his ass or does he have a staff of writers that sits around and makes this crap up?

Why are you liberal types still so full of hate?
LOL... Why are you neo-con types so full of denial?

You neo-con types just can't admit that when your guys ran things they screwed us all over with their hypocrisy and greed and made a mess of just about everything... The neo-con guys screwed things up so bad, the country elected it's first Black Man just to clean up the mess that was left by the neo-cons.
