Hello Iam hoping someone, anyone here will help me!

Well over a year ago, I was playing at a casino not sure may have been one of the palace groups, had joined a lot of different ones,I was going through really bad patch in my life and was hooked on casinos, any casino and decided i wanted to self exclude myself from the casinos for my own sake, and get out the destructive routine of playing till i won or was flat broke.

I set up the self exclusion with their support and that was that.Couldnt play at any microgaming casinos or so I thought at the time, after a long time not playing,I sorted myself out and back with a better outlook and limits of deposits,i started playing back at 32red + ladbrokes casinos and that was fine and has been for a long time.

Now i like the look of GOWILD casino as have heard good things on this site,so decided to give it a try. But in no way can I deposit there.I tried to play at platinum play also and couldnt deposit also. So out of interest have tried a few casinos and the same wont accept a deposit.

So it seems Iam blacklisted at the majority of microgaming casinos am just wondering if its the ones that use proccyber as there banking system?,as can obviously deposit at 32red and ladbrokes.

I dunno who to contact to remove this self exclusion, need help?:(

If you asked for a "life" exclusion, or told them that you were having problems controlling your gambling, you are going to find it near impossible getting off the exclusion list.

As with alcohol addiction, once "cured", you cannot just take a break and start drinking again, or you will soon end up back where you started.

The signs are already there. After being satisfied with the couple of casinos that allowed you back playing with controls in place, you are now trying to increase your portfolio of available casinos, and thus frustrate the controls placed on your total deposits. This could easily lead you back to where you started before you even realise it.

Were you to suffer another "bad patch" in life, you could again seek solace in online casinos, and lose control. This blacklist is there to PROTECT you, not to punish you.

You have 32Red and Ladbrokes, so should leave it at that for now. You still have controlled access to gambling, yet the protection from "going on tilt" imposed by this pair being able to limit your total deposits.

You may even find that this problem has already crept back up on you, and this thread and it's replies could be your "wake-up call".

Might be better to stay away

If you think you have been addicted it might be best if you stay away from playing or gambling for the rest of your life. You say that you were going through a very rough time in your life when you did it excessively? Because if ‘that’ was the reason ‘why’ you played you might not have been ‘really’ addicted at all as we all have different ways to keep our thoughts away from our problems. Some people work more while others drink or take drugs or invest time in doing sports etc…
However, that is up to you to analyze your reasons for gambling on decide what you want to do. I think the only way to be able to get back into the casinos would be to move and to change your bank details.

Side note: But if excessive gambling is your personal way to overcome stress or difficulties in your life you should ‘definitely’ stay away from it, or limit the visits to casinos to times when you balanced, relaxed and happy...:D

Thanks but hold on Its not as bad as it sounds, the bad patch i had cant happen again lets just say its impossible.I wasnt losing £1000's either nor was affecting my life in a really bad way.At the time I just wanted to break up the routine of sitting at home on a casino just to pass the time and as i found out if u play too much you end up losing in the end,and it was only microgaming casinos was addicted to these, mostly as are the best to play. Tomb raider 2 was the biggest culprit of my problems lost alot of money chasing that last reel to lo light up for the sword bonus,it became addictive!

As for my portfolio Iam registered at dash,ladbrokes,32red,intercasino,jackpot party, omni, betfred, victorchandler, paddy power,bluesquare,bet365,williamhill,virgin and few more and could have or could play anytime i want ,but hardly did or do.I have a particular favourite then i play at that, sometimes i like a change and like everyone else I try elsewhere.

I just wanted to try Go wild i like there bonus offers and setup so thus just wanna get that self exclusion removed it is in no way needed.

I have no deposit limits, when i said limits of deposits, i meant my own limits in my head,i get to a losing limit,i stop and then thats me for the week!

"addicted" and "chasing" are 2 words that concern me with that.

Its like I can thankfully limit myself and dont have a problem, however depending on the game I may spend more than I wanted to (i.e I may have £50 budget for a casino, Then I plan to spend £10 of it on 1 slot, its badly designed and isnt fun so I stop there at £10 but then I go on a slot which is awesomely designed, has great bonuses, features, is fun and I plan to spend £10 on it but end up spending £20). "Chasing" for features is problematic because in reality the feature is as likely to come along after 100 spins as it would after 5. It sounds like it was the case of "dang this features gonna happen any spin now, Im gonna go over budget and deposit another £20 to hit it".

I think you will have a hard time getting your self imposed ban lifted when you told them yourself that you had a gambling problem. I don't know if it is a processor ban or what it is, but if you manage to deposit with 32 Red and Ladbrokes you are playing at the two best Microgaming casinos out there. The grass isn't always greener at the other side of the fence.

Just my 0.02$

Thanks for the concerns but this was along time ago i done this and have been able to play on casinos and gamble when i wanted ever since.

It was only a blip when i first got introduced to online casinos, I was winning big in my first plays at slots. The only time i gambled before then was pub fruities and was nieve to think like a pub fruitie the more money i was putting in I was sure to get a big payout!

I learned my lesson very quickly and decided to keep a lid on it by having a self exclusion for a period of time of my own choice and defo didnt ask for a life one.

But the point of me starting the thread, I was to know who Iam blacklisted with or who do i contact to get this removed.I just wanted to be fully honest of why i got in this position in the first place and thats why i gave the full story.

If you only asked for a set period, the ban should be lifted after this period is up. The problem would be the reasons you gave at the time, and if you mentioned anything about being "addicted", and it causing "problems" for your everyday life, it is possible that despite asking for a set period, you have ended up with a life ban.

It would seem that 32Red and Ladbrokes are happy for you to play now that the period you have chosen is up.

When it comes to other casinos, the only thing is to ask them whether the limited period self exclusion you set up has cleared as far as they are concerned.

Just ignoring this, and hoping they just won't notice, will mean that your first WITHDRAWAL will be when they find out, and under the standards to protect problem gamblers, you will only get back your deposits, even if you hit Mega Moolah for a lottery size payout!

You could also contact 32Red through the forum (Pat Harrison would be best as Operations Director), and ask him whether there is a blacklisting still present within Microgaming because of your self imposed period of exclusion.

If you DO get the all clear to play at all MGS casinos, BE CAREFUL, and stay aware of any sign that you are being drawn in too deeply again, and losing your common sense.

Despite what you see in casinos' own advertising, there is no such thing as a slot (or any other game) being "ready to drop" just because it has taken in loads of money. Fruit machines work this way only because they are not random games, but are programmed to pay out a set percentage of the take over a set number of spins.

Thanks but i dont think this blacklist is a microgaming thing, as have always been able to deposit and withdraw at ladbrokes and probably 32red ever since i asked for self exclusion.

I think its the payments processor I may be blacklisted with at the rest of the casinos as can log into any microgaming casino i want just cant deposit in any way,and support cant tell me why. I just dunno how you contact the payments processor!

Maybe I will just give up seems alot of hassle when 32red has biggest rtp anyway.

What method are you using to deposit?

This could all be down to something else, and not the casinos or processor at all.

I use paypal at the uk type casinos but mostly my debit card. Have tried using entropay just out of interest but still couldnt deposit.

Have noticed in the past most casinos use proc-cyber to process their payments, think its the same company as data-cash. Dont know if they are related to microgaming in any way.

It seems to me that if it was an exclusion type of scenario they wouldn't let you open (and keep open) a real play account, would they? Unless, as you say, you're somehow excluded by the processor, which I've never heard of before. Although I've lived a sheltered life so what do I know? ;)

But I'd check with one of the individual casinos and find out. Go Wild has pretty helpful chat reps, I'd ask them what's up.

I'll jump in here as I was in a very similar situation over a year ago. I had numerous MG accounts open and sent an email to Grand Mondial asking for my account to be closed due to an online gambling problem. They indeed did close the account and a week later I tried to deposit at Fortune Lounge and could not although the account was still open. Same thing at Yukon Gold. I verified with my Fortune Lounge VIP host that the problem was some sort of "blacklist" on the processor side. I decided at that point I have had enough. Got some help and on June 1st it will be one year without any type of gaming at all...;) I have still been able to enjoy the forum here but have found many thing to do with all my free time...;)

Thanks for the info, I didn't know it worked like that. And congrats on your upcoming anniversary!

When I self excluded at Roxy Palace several years ago, I know they wanted me to send back a signed form agreeing to be excluded from all eCOGRA accredited casinos. Of course I declined this. The reason I self excluded from Roxy was due to having just hit a big win at Tombraider and this was to stop temptation to log back in and start spending it again. Once I explained this, they were fine and the exclusion only affected my ability to play at Roxy. Which incidentally I am still self excluded from LOL.

Would have been a nightmare for me if this applied to all eCogra accredited casinos. I wouldn't be able to do my job. LOL

I have not come across a blanket ban at processor level though.

I have never tried to self-exclude myself from casinos. I think I was fortunate enough to have "ring" in my head which alarmed me and I just stopped playing in 99% casinos I used to play :)

This does look like a processor level block, rather than a list the casinos use. The casino CS were unable to find out WHY the OP couldn't deposit, and this is hardly a system that is fit for purpose, because the casino would then try to fix the problem by helping the (problem) gambler find a means to deposit that DOES work, whereas they should be aware that this is a player who should NOT be playing.

Paypal goes direct, so this is NOT blocked by a processor level blacklist, whereas debit cards and eco card have to go through a card processor, and this is where they seem to be getting blocked.

The other block that I know of is the UK banks, who now block many online transactions that they feel are "high risk", and will often block ALL transactions to overseas merchants that do NOT use "Verified by VISA" as an additional layer of protection. This is because the introduction of chip & pin has lead to a large rise in "card not present" fraud, which is why the online version of chip & pin (verified by VISA) was introduced - it needing something that is NOT present on the card itself to make the transaction go through.

Mastercard are even stricter, and seem to have had a blanket ban on non-UK casinos. I have NEVER managed to get a UK issued Mastercard to work at an online casino, and Mastercard even block deposits into Neteller.

An option the OP could consider is UKash. Vouchers are bought, and work a bit like mobile phone top ups. £25 (for example) is handed over at a "Paypoint" outlet in exchange for a £25 UKash voucher. The voucher number is then used at casinos accepting this method, and £25 is deposited. Withdrawals would be made by cheque or bank transfer from the casino.
One advantage of UKash is that it applies a throttle effect against going "on tilt" when chasing a feature or a loss, since one has to nip down the shops each time another batch of vouchers is needed, and a bit of fresh air allows time to reflect, and maybe change one's mind. There is also a limit on the total value of UKash a shop will sell you in a single transaction.
You can also use your debit card to buy UKash at a "Paypoint" outlet, and I also believe a facility to purchase UKash online has been launched more recently. This would offer the same convenience as card deposits, but would still offer some protection against "on tilt" play since there is also a limit as to how much UKash one can buy online. The limits are to prevent fraud, including money laundering, rather than to protect consumers.

I have tried UKash myself, and it is NOT all that easy to get hold of large amounts in a short space of time, mostly because most outlets didn't know how to work this "niche" aspect of their Paypoint terminals:confused:
It's more mainstream now, and Ukash even have something you can print off & take to the shopkeeper to show them how to get Ukash from their terminal. Out of a dozen shops that were supposed to offer it, I managed to find only TWO that could actually do it - and even that was because I TAUGHT one of them how to:D

First off let me say that my original post in no way was meant to insinuate that the OP has a problem. If it came across that way, I'm sorry.

This does look like a processor level block, rather than a list the casinos use. The casino CS were unable to find out WHY the OP couldn't deposit, and this is hardly a system that is fit for purpose, because the casino would then try to fix the problem by helping the (problem) gambler find a means to deposit that DOES work, whereas they should be aware that this is a player who should NOT be playing.:D

Vinyl, this is bang on! During the time I was trying to determine why I could not deposit at Fortune Lounge, I received a CD in the mail from Red Flush. I loaded it up on my pc and within 10 minutes I put my debit card info in and I was back playing again. This seems to tell me that there is a "blacklist", but it only seems to affect "certain" MG casinos. I have to assume that different processors are in use here.

I will say that the Fortune Lounge group of casinos take this very seriously and I can't thank my VIP host enough for setting me straight.

Sorry to bump my own thread. But I now have an understanding of how I couldnt play at most Mg casinos after asking for a self exclusion a long time ago. I asked a casino to try a dig a little deeper to see why my deposits were being rejected no matter what method i used.

As I said, I asked for a self-exclusion from a casino and this was infact as it turns out a 6 month time-out and I was put on Microgamings self exclusion list, and all I have to do is return my details to the casino who will inform MG so i can be removed from the list and also write a note that Iam in control, which Iam!

But a few questions still needed to be asked. Why when Iam on the MG exclusion list why have I always been able to still play at 4 of the 32red casinos and ladbrokes casino! Surely theres something wrong there with this whole player protection thing?,and why when i tried to deposit at any other casino they did not have the slightest clue I was on this vulnerable player list and kept giving me all sorts of methods to try depositing?
