I just read the progress of Patrick the Pit Bull puppy....what a horrible thing! How can people be so cruel? Poor little guy.

What sucks is that he's getting lots of media attention but every day the humane societies deal with the same kinds of issues, so it's NOT an isolated incident.

Well at least in this case he's getting better and hopefully he'll have a long and happy and healthy life. And hopefully his 'person' will get what's coming to her too.

Truly disgusting- when I rule the world penalties for animal cruelty would be an eye for and eye. Some of you know I do volunteer work with animals and some of the stuff we see makes you despair about people.

IMHO how we treat and value the lives and wellbeing of the elderly,disabled, children and animals is a mark of whether we are truly a civilised society- sadly we have a way to go on all fronts
