    Hello,

I registered with Nostalgia Casino (Casino Rewards) who were offering a £20.00 bonus for a £1.00 deposit. I played Slots and eventually increased my balance to about £450.00 due to a few lucky spins.

I read the terms and conditions of the carefully and I satisfied all of the wagering requirements. I even contacted Casino Rewards and they confirmed that my win was genuine and could be withdrawn.

Unfortunately, I received the following email from them overnight...

We would like to inform you that your cashin and account has been blocked due to a breach of the Bonus Account Terms and Conditions of the casino.

For more information please look under Bonus Account Terms and Conditions include >> Point 13

"The Casino reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or confiscate all winnings for irregular play. ‘Irregular play’ includes but is not limited to any one or more of the following types of play:

    1. Placing single bets equal to or in excess of 25% or more of the value of the bonus credited to the account prior to the play-through requirement for that bonus having been met; A single bet in Roulette counts as the total of all chips placed on the table when the wheel is spun.

    2. Using the double-up feature to increase bet values;

    3. Even money bets on Sic Bo, Craps and Roulette

    4. Starting a game's feature after the bonus balance used to build up the credits towards the feature has reached 0."

Therefore, the winnings are void and have been confiscated. Your casino account will remain locked.

I did nothing which could be considered 'irregular'. I have contacted them today, but they have been extremely unhelpful and rude. I have spoken to several people, including a manager, and they refuse to explain how my behaviour constituted 'irregular play'.

    Any ideas, please?

    Thank you.

    What was your biggest bet?

According to the terms, you cannot bet more than £5 (25% of the £20 credited). Even a single bet above this amount breaks the term, and opening with £21 on Roulette or Blackjack, and then switching to slots after a win, is a common means of exploiting such an offer.

This offer keeps getting hit hard because it's a mere £1 investment for a £20 bonus, which is small enough such that a half decent hit can result in a withdrawal. It is being hammered by multi accounters, but players are also going from one CR casino to another just to play this bonus and then move on. Whilst not quoted in that email, there is another term forbidding this.

They have a rep here on the forum (Renee), and you could also PAB (a complaint through here where Max will act as mediator). A PAB deals with problems at a higher management level than can be reached through CS by a player.

    This no longer works:-

Microgaming patched this exploit in the bonus tracking system years ago. If you tried it now, the clean deposit made after zeroing out would turn into bonus funds and the remaining WR would be resurrected.

What so you got the free spins feature exited game went on other slots to purposely bust deposit own cash and go back to that slot and have a feature with own money?! That is crazy bet they are glad the fixed it! There was also a rumour that changing bet sizes frequently pre quickfire on flash used to make the 9 line games pay out either free spins or the jp. Was there any truth in that weatherman?

It's a good thing that Casino Rewards don't allow Aussies.
At least it limits the harm this group can do.

My bets would have been below 25% of the bonus. I was just playing small bets on slots (Routlette or Blackjack were never used) and happened to win big on one of the bonus games.

I have contacted Casino Rewards today and I was most shocked by their response. They refused to help me or explain why my betting was considered to be 'irregular play'. The manager kept just replying with a single '.' to avoid talking to me. I have submitted a PAB, but I would be very grateful if Renee could contact me, please.

I knew it seemed too good to be true :'(

    Thanks for your help everyone!

I have to say this does not seem to tally with my experiences of dealing with live chat staff (and in some cases, their supervisors) from Casino Rewards. I have always found them to be patient, polite, helpful and professional. And I have always got paid in full anytime I have requested a withdrawal. I know I am not in full possession of the facts of this particular case, but something doesn't seem quite right here.

However, if what the OP is saying is true, then I will be rather taken aback by the sudden sea change in attitude.

    And dave,

I do say this with the greatest respect as I do respect you, but I think it is a bit of an over-reaction on your part to call them roguish. I understand that they are not accredited and that they are guilty of spamming on a level that even annoys me. But to call them rogue, a place to completely avoid and an outfit that is LESS trustworthy than ACTUAL rogue outfits seems to be quite unfair (in my humble opinion).

This rumour STILL does the rounds, but unlike the exploit, this would imply that the games were not random, and that a memory of past bets and outcomes can influence the future outcomes. This is only the case for compensated games like our fruit machines.

The feature exploit DID indeed work, and not just on Microgaming either. The error was down to the WR tracking systems only looking at the balance, but ignoring any games still in play. RTG actually patched the exploit before Microgaming, and it hasn't worked for years.

The term probably remains just in case a future error or botched update reintroduces the exploit on some games. If it does, the casino is still covered by this term.

The only software that I know was 100% immune to this was Cryptologic, the original Intercasino software. It would play off any unfinished games on the server, and next time you logged on, it would load that game and give you a reply of the outcome. Playtech was partially immune, but it was "open season" for RTG and Microgaming, and even Rival was getting hit.

The even odder thing is that this feature of online software was completely out in the open, and being discussed, yet no operator or software provider considered the possibility that it presented a near undetectable exploit.

RTG probably saw the light due to the "Frozen Assets" exploit that was detailed here in the forum as a "system" to use, a forum read by a number of RTG operators. RTG then pulled a whole bunch of it's "classic" slots, those that operated in a similar manner to "Frozen Assets". It was, of course, done on the quiet, no admission from RTG or operators that it was to close an exploit.

It's this desire of operators to remain "in denial" that allows such exploits to last as long as they do. Some believe that their software could not possibly host such a glaring exploit, and most players who see it fail to see it for what it is. Some even complain that it is THEY who are getting ripped off when they spot any kind of non random behaviour in a game. Often, it's because they have stumbled upon a potential exploit, but only so if played in the right way.

There are some forums dedicated to this kind of thing, but they go on to look at loopholes and exploits in the back end systems, usually the means by which multi accounters are detected, but we did have the infamous "third party client" that was able to alter the rules of some games, for example Blackjack Switch, because the vendor trusted the client to check the validity of bets, but didn't consider checking again at the server in case a player had "hacked" the client to bypass these checks.

Casinos should advertise for "poachers turned gamekeepers", and set them the task of "exploit this game/offer/competition" etc. This would lead to much earlier detection, and earlier fixes. Their "gamekeepers" would also have to join some of these Advantage play and fraudster forums in order to get leads, which is probably why many of these forums feature the "private area", which is not as "private" as they think it is;)

Software security firms have been doing just this for years, ex hackers and virus coders are on the payroll, and their job is to break into secure computer systems to show up any weaknesses in the security software they are using.

This complaint is completely false and without merit. Another example of a newbie exploiting this forum by stirring up a mob. If he had correctly read the terms and conditions - which I am sure he had, he would have known that any bet over $5 and some change would have forfeited his winnings. The casino was in contact with him, which he denies. And it's been explained to him that his bets of $12 - $30 breached the terms.

I expect an immediate retraction and apology from this member. His PAB has been shit-canned.

I took the offer up way back in the day and made a small withdraw without trouble,

Looks like its sorted now and the truth outed

Some casinos do not let you even open another game up if another game in play, Which can be abit of an arss if you like playing more than 1 game at a time, (counts me out)

This was the case with the original Intercasino. Playtech also only allowed a max of 4 games in play at once, and pending games would auto launch as soon as the player logged in.

Microgaming had this exploit even BEFORE they introduced the tabbed games system, and only being able to open one game at a time then didn't block this exploit. It also seemed the back office systems could not detect this either (they can now).

The problem was that some games didn't register as "complete" when they should have done, and thus there were instances of completed games causing the WR carry over. The multi player slots were one culprit, but the oddity "arcade game" "Max Damage" could also cause the problem.

Ok perhaps a little ott to say rogue but they do have devious practices not to pay out players I have heard of people bringing this group up time and time again because they couldn't get the winnings. sometimes silly rules like changing bet too frequently which is just bs. I only said it to help other people make a good choice but i'll leave it to casinomeister to warn in the future.

To be fair I also did the £1 promo years ago and cashed out. And to be fair to casino rewards id used several free lotto tickets of them years ago after only a couple of deposits. Had not even played there for ages and through the tickets I cashed in several points and played and won a few hundred. Thought the cashout would be refused but got the money in neteller a few days later with no docs needed. Was surprised as hell lol especially as I was unsure if I had joined one of there casinos twice.

I do recall reading that thread a while ago Mr J.

Just in case you are interested, I did make a £25 deposit at All Slots recently and I cashed out for £125. Bearing in mind that I had read your thread, I was bracing myself for potential delays.

Anyhow in live chat I was told, as a UK customer, that they could not process my withdrawal using my PMOP (Maestro card).
I changed my PMOP to cheque. 5 days later, the cheque was in my hands. Not fast admittedly, when compared to things like Skrill and Neteller, but considering it involved the use of snail mail, 5 days wasn't too shabby.

I know cheques are far from an ideal (speedy) solution for some people, but it was fine for me.

Dave, they are a decent enough group IMO. The spam is an issue for some and I respect that but if you can get past that by just ignoring the spam and binning it, then you could do a lot worse.

I suppose I like them for another reason.....my luck is better there than anywhere else.

I also have had (and still do have) the VIP points freezing issue that mrjones described. But it has at least allowed me to try "bonus-free" depositing for a change. And as a self-confessed bonus whore who thought he would hate the idea of playing without a bonus, it's actually not all that bad.

But if you can take advantage of the offers available, then you should. There are some very good low deposit, high percentage match (as high as 500% in a couple of cases) bonus offers.
