Mr T just can't stop lying, even during a crisis, absolutely pathetic. Instead, trying to take credit for anything that might let him look better. Nothing new, he's been doing it all his adult life.

lets wait till Sunday...and even so....it should have been ready to go....And if there is no website people will forgive him and blame everyone else for the lack of a website and testing Centers.

there are not enough tests to test ppl for the corona virus...so the numbers will not reflect the reality of what will be a disaster in this country. ..

Tucker carlson brought up a good issue, what about the homeless, if they catch it what happens, hopefully they'd get taken in by a hospital, but who knows if they've got no insurance or money.

You dial 911 here, a state of the art ambulance shows up along with the police and maybe even the fire department. By law the hospital emergency room can't deny care. What country do you think this is?

This is the clip I watched, sorry about the guy's eyebrows they're a bit distracting, but if it's as simple as you say I wonder why Tucker bothered to raise it, the guy mentions self quarantining and how it would be difficult for many homeless people.

Edit: btw I wasn't meaning to cause offence, I genuinely didn't know that ER care/treatment is provided to those that cannot pay and/or have no health insurance

That's the (west) left coast, they're progressives and have progressive policies. I'm on the east coast, still liberal but not super progressive. (yet). My senator is Warren, she's progressive and she lost her own state, what's that tell ya? I said it before, progressive policies are dangerous.

I don't how Emergency Services work out there, I assume its similar but here you can call 911 and the fire house paramedics/ambulance will arrive pretty quickly. Actually the fire house is on my street so it would be a couple minutes.

I just talked to the homeless guy Mike in front of the market and asked where the penguin was (the other homeless guy is nicknamed penguin) and he told me he's been in the hospital all week, the ambulance came and took him to the hospital.

Having read more about it now too, a homeless person in the US who contracts coronavirus might have a better chance of receiving treatment/tests than someone here on the NHS. We just haven't got the spare capacity to cope with large numbers coming down with it, so there will be some sort of rationing to help those with the best chance of survival. [if the number of sufferers as predicted is large]

"We are fast approaching a crunch time. NHS intensive care beds will be imminently overwhelmed with patients in dire need of mechanical ventilation. Italy’s experience has shown all too graphically that peak infection rates demand draconian rationing of health resources. In Lombardy, for example, some beleaguered hospitals have been forced to impose bans on ventilators for coronavirus sufferers aged over 60 – this despite knowing that it is predominantly the elderly who will die. " guardian yesterday

Edit: even the testing is going to be rationed to exclude those with mild symptoms.

It will be the same here.

Ahh the swine Flu?

I remember that here in the uk, it caused a major panic, yet wasn't as bad as predicted and the NHS had a stockpile of over 20 million unused doses of swine flu vaccines for England alone.

"Warnings that 65,000 people in the UK could die in a worst case scenario proved far too pessimistic, and the actual death toll during the outbreak was 457. " so we have been here before in recent years, I hope they're wrong again.

its all in how the MSM presents things now.

This was Nov 12, 2009. I don't know the final numbers.

How much are they predicting now?

I still hope this is gonna be much milder than what experts, and social media "experts", are saying. Scientists also seem to contradict eachother, you get hit with so many opinions and stories it's hard to keep track.

I was thinking the other day: how did I react to the whole Mexican Flu thing? I can't remember that I was overly worried about it and I'm pretty sure the initial death toll was also impressive.

This time it has hit me hard due to the amounts of information and also because of all the postponements and cancellations in sports. Another thing I can't remember: did we cancel events back then?

Call me crazy but I don't think governments will be placing the homeless at the top of the priority tree. May even be glad to trim what they deem a nuisance

It simply beggars belief what is going on in Italy. Is this what society is heading towards - a cleansing of those who Society considers "not worthy"? And as @goatwack touches on, less scrupulous governments could use COVID-19 as an excuse to "thin" the population, particularly the elderly, as how they are regarded by the younger population is truly eye-opening.

"Ageism..a byproduct of a culture in which getting older has little or no positive value ... a phenomenon that has largely disenfranchised and marginalised older people from the rest of the population. Our ageist society has deep roots, going back decades to produce what is perhaps the most youth-oriented culture in history. " Lawrence R. Samuel PH.D.

The coronavirus outbreak is more severe than the 2009 outbreak of H1N1, or swine flu. That illness infected between 700 million and 1.4 billion people worldwide but only had a mortality rate of 0.02%.

Mortality rate for Coronavirus is 3-4%.

The coronavirus is spread through respiratory fluids such as saliva or mucus. It is an airborne disease making it highly contagious. Unlike h1n1 or the flu there is NO treatment or vaccine for the Coronavirus.

There you go....not a fan of Tucker...the only time the trumpsters will believe it is more serious than it is will be when someone they know gets sick and dies. And even then....

And Tucker should be more specific and say GOP and Trump government is responsible.

Why is this acceptable from our president. Cuz that’s who he is...we knew his personality...oh but so what he lies....but he’s bombastic...he likes to boast...all unacceptable. Everything he has done so far with this coronavirus pandemic is nothing short of incompetent.

His quickly put together plan for testing. Not even remotely well planned. Google website? What website google responded?

Chaos at the airports cuz he said people will be tested at the airports and not putting enough man power to do that testing. he is an agent of chaos and the epitome of incompetence. And the Russians like him this way.

This was how he dealt with this. his responses. Why is this acceptable?! I wanna hear why this is acceptable from a man in charge of the country. All of you on here who still believe in him. Would you accept this from anyone else?

Jan. 22, the day before China imposed a draconian quarantine on the province where the virus originated, Donald Trump claimed the disease was “totally under control,” that it was just in a single patient who had come from China. “It’s going to be just fine.”

Feb. 10, as the virus was starting to spread in Italy and Iran, Trump told a meeting of the nation’s governors at the White House: “A lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat.”

Feb. 26, the day after a top official at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that life in the United States was likely to change very quickly, Trump claimed that there were only 15 cases here, and that number would soon fall to zero.

Feb 28: he called the virus the latest “hoax” that Democrats and the media were using to hurt the economy and, in turn, his chances for reelection. Indeed, over the course of February, he spoke and posted on Twitter repeatedly that the coronavirus and COVID-19, the disease it causes, had not killed as many as the seasonal flu and suggested that Americans should buy stocks.

March 13: Trump declared a national emergency, sending the official signal that local governments and hospitals around the country should take the problem seriously and ensuring that federal money would help reimburse their costs. In the meantime, only a tiny fraction of Americans have been tested for the disease, meaning officials do not have enough data to allocate resources most efficiently.

Especially his European travel ban has worked just "perfectly". Chaos as usual and doing more harm than good. But yeah, Mr T saying "I take no responsibility at all".

People asked to fill out two forms on arrival but not enough pens, so they told them to share pens....right! Any infected person would then infect dozens of others.

And this pic is just hilarious. People waited for up to 5 hours!!! No toilets or hand sanitizer in sight. One sneezer and you have 100s of people getting the virus.

As all things trump...Sign of hastily made, poorly planned, terribly executed policy..

The h1n1 killed around 13,000 here. Took 6 months before they declared it a national emergency.

The media was sane back then.

They're going to push Biden and complain about the Elephant in the Room when it comes to "T", how ironic. Cracks me up.

can you honestly say trump is dealing with this.

why is it acceptable to you that he lies...it’s all there outlined in my post above. His responses, unprepared and literally stupid. Regardless if the media is a circus.

I don't think they've given a prediction this time, probably as a result of getting it so wrong with swine flu.

No, I can't recall them cancelling events for swine flu, certainly not the football.

I don't remember the mexican flu, must've passed me by

Just go look at the videos, even the one I posted.

What does it say in the beginning? "Today's numbers are 4 times higher than the CDC first reported just 6 days ago." Then look at 44 seconds in. What do they say, cases missed.

It passed you by because less media hype and little or no social media.
