Ok, so I hear from a none CM related source, a rumour which I hope is the furthest thing from the truth that I have ever been told!

My all time fave low rolling game "Dead or Alive" is coming to the end of its life, end of this year!!!!

Thoughts are initially "Not a chance, its as popular today as its has always been" but also "Aaaahh, that's why they launched DoA II and covered the same bonus round"

As the title says, I hope this information is a load of bollocks and would be very surprised if Netent pulled one of their greatest assets to date!

I can see how that would fix things.

Netent drone1 - So, we are scrapping Dead or alive by the end of the year as planned?
Netent CEO - No can do, some woman came to my house yesterday and covered me with dust.
Netent Drone1 - Fairy dust?
Netent CEO - No, it was just normal dust, she was angry.

All netent dead or alive original being pulled from all casinos from 18rh October 1986 officially red tiger put out a statement on 4/08/2030 confirming

Hey Jon,

Spoke to our Netent account manager and he hadn’t heard anything of the sort. It’s a massive game for them I can’t see this being true.

It also makes them very little money, believe it or not. They told me at ICE.

I play it (and the sequel) incredibly rarely; I find is so ....dull.
Ya, we've seen the screenshots to know it's not an impossible (though unlikely) dream win.
I just don't enoy it and that's more than half the point in me playing slots.

That's it. Both games are dull. Slow. You can get decent wins from unlikely stakes - I know I have. But it feels such a slog getting there. Tombstone and Deadwood have taken the idea and vastly improved it.

I remember you posting this before and couldn’t help thinking at the time, that if it pays the correct rtp, then surely it makes more than other games as it’s played more or am I missing something?

Popular enough to support and stay profitable probably does not always equate to lots of money. Given how long it's been around, support costs are probably minimal, it's not going to need any major changes for the foreseeable and will just happily tick over for the hardcore fans of it until such time as HTML5 is replaced or it becomes unprofitable.

95% of the reason I play is also enjoyment / pass some time / unwind / relax / boredom buster.

However we can't all make 100 deposits and spin away at any game at 1.00 stakes or higher.

Part of DoA's attraction is that for low rollers a 10/20 deposit can on most sessions last a good while, provide some value for said deposit and some play time, whilst also having that "you never know" that a huge hit may come and allow me to move to more exciting games and higher bets, as well as diving for the cash out button.

The above cannot be said for many of today's rip off releases.

I'm sure you'd soon be enjoying it as that 5th scatter slid into place or the missing wild drops in ;)

It has a high RTP firstly, secondly the volatility creates a lot of 'hit-and-run' players after big wins.
