Many casino's have this now:

"The bonus itself may not be withdrawn at any time although any winnings generated by using the bonus are 100% withdrawable. "

SO what's the point? You can never take the money out. So it's not a bonus!

It still lets you play with a larger bankroll and cushion yourself against bad runs.

You should be able to play it on any games you like.

Were you?

Sticky bonuses are best used playing games with high variation or playing with big bets (which actually is kinda like the same :p )

I totally agree. 'Sticky' bonuses are pretty much useless - all they do is give you some extra playing time.
I only use them for 'entertainment' value when I've already used up all the 'proper' bonuses in a month! ;)

If you're new to online gaming, my personal recommendations are:
ALWAYS read the T&C's thoroughly.
DON'T bother with 'sticky' bonuses (unless playing for fun only)
DON'T take a 'slots only' bonus, no matter how generous it sounds!

I think most RTG's & some other softwares have only sticky bonuses - if you want proper withdrawable ones stick to Cryptologic & Microgaming.
I'm no expert on this - so there's probably others about - maybe one of the other guys will advise...?

Good luck sport!

You can make money off sticky bonuses, too. The essence of the strategy is to withdraw everything but the bonus, then bet big, withdraw the winnings if you win and repeat until you lose everything. I won 110 off a 30 bonus, last week, so I am not complaining. :)

yes I've gone to realise how one can make the money off the sticky's, but for people who like to just gamble at the casino's (and lose heaps of money) then it's practicaly pointless....but still I'm not complaining....

JP is right. Take it as a loan you pay no interest for and need not return. You will do SO SO SO much better betting big.

I would take a 50% sticky bonus with 12X WR or 100% with 20X WR anyday.

Sticky Bonuses...some basic math...

Take the typical Golden Palace bonus:
Deposit $100, Get $200 bonus
If you cash out you have to return the bonus.
To cash out, you must bet a total of $1200

Simplified example (this isn't 100% correct strategy but close enough)
- Bet the whole $300 on one hand of Blackjack
- You have a little bit less than 50% that you win (say...45%)

If you lose, you are out of $100

If you win, you have $600
Before you can cash out, you must bet another $900, which you do at 1-5 per hand. On average you will lose about $10 while doing so, leaving $590.
You then cash out and give the bonus back for a total of $390 (profit +290)

So you are making a bet which has a:
- 55% of losing $100
- 45% of winning $290
which is a bet I'm willing to make any day
