No More Guts, Thrills, Betspin Etc For Aussies

This is just crap.......... I dont understand.......
What you do now understand, is just how frustrated American players have felt for the last 10 years... :(
I sincerely hope that Australian's frustration doesn't last anything like as long as that...

Thrills Casino is an Accredited casino at Casinomeister
A lot of the decision making is about responsible gambling and player protection. Regulation generally protects consumers, and while there are a number of people on here like myself who are annoyed by these changes the vast majority of Australians couldn't care less.

The max bet at clubs and pubs is between $5-10 a spin yet I could go home 24x7 and spend up to $500 a spin or $8k on multi handed blackjack per hand.
The recent reports also looked at the number of Australians losing money to "dodgy" casino's who never pay.

I understand the governments logic but there should be a compromise.

Any news on slotsmillion

multi platform been playing there a long time now pretty happy have not received any email to kick the aussie yet been using skrill via cc and poli to deposit and direct bank transfer from skrill to cashout i also use skrill for a few of the china webites when buying laptop parts.

I also play at Slotsmillion and I have not received any news yet. I hope we can stay there and play ones we are allowed.

I deposit via Neteller at every Casino, I don't think wallets are mentioned in the changes only casinos.

I mean really, we pay taxes and what we do with our money is our choice, I say it again, stupid controlling government!!

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

MG & NetEnt are huge, publicly traded companies in the EU who dare not flout the law of other countries - other software providers will take the risk.

Yes.

The same will apply to them.

What the hell.......... and I did check in case I missed something and it is Definitely Not 1st April................................................................................................................................

Okay so when will this happen to houseofjack ? Time we are transfered, 31st may ? Prior ? Already ? Later date ?

So if we went to VS same is going to happen ?

WHAT CAN WE actually play ? Seems it is all over then for us herein Australia for online fun times. MG/NetEnt are what my partner and I Only play anyway.

So if there is now no MG no point going to any other Casino then for us anyway.

I just read that link you gave me I see why now when I saw, Committee of the Whole debate

Amendment details: 7 Nick Xenophon Team agreed to

20 Mar 2017

That god damn fucking useless bastard Nick Xenophon is the problem he has wanted gambling gone forever.

Casino mate

Just beware if you play at casino mate and take any of the welcome bonus for new players or the NEWCM bonuses for players that moved from the download casino.
Withdrawals are capped at 6x deposits!

Not in the general terms and conditions that pop up from the window you see the bonus advertised in
They are in the promotional terms and conditions that can only be found in the Club Mate page.

A lot harder to find terms and conditions than it should be!

And no i didn't get caught out.
I went to live chat and asked on there and was told capped at 6x deposit!

So i didn't deposit, might later but won't be taking that welcome bonus.
Other bonuses do not have this restriction.

Only 5 more days to go before we say goodbye to our much loved casinos :(

I am devastated of course but life goes on.

Australia would not care what casinos we played at if they taxed us on our winnings.

Beautiful country but what a clueless government in every way.

I have had my account at Betvictor terminated but no probs so far with Dublinbet which has exactly what I want when it comes to Live Games...in particular...Baccarat and Roulette.

Here's hoping...

Where is the evidence ?Hidden under a rock ?

I read this thread last week and afterwards I went looking for the possible reason why these Casinos are withdrawing from Australia .
All I could find is a new law being presented to the Australian Parliament of making online Casinos responsible .
Only unscrupulous operations would have any reason to run away .
I cannot see if this new law was passed in the Parliament last year or even this year .
It was presented by a minor party politician so anti Malcolm Turnbull comments are from toads who have an axe to grind .

If these Casinos that are leaving had live dealers then it would be a nuisance .
Random Number generators should be banned .

Yep was thinking about this seriously and I am going to save a hell of a lot more now I guess, as my partner nor I go to casino or land based pokies etc, not our thing

Country is going down the toilet though, beautiful kind of but certainly being designed slowly for the wealthy that is evident.

Tax ,what TAX

I wish people on here would stop spreading LIES .
Here is a quote from a well known and totally accurate source, Wikipedia :

Taxation laws on gambling in Australia
Gamblers' winnings in Australia are not taxed. There are 3 main reasons for that:

Gambling is not considered a profession, it's treated as a hobby or recreational activity.
The Australian government views gains from gambling activities not as income, but as a result of good luck. Even if someone wins big, they also lose a lot in other gambling sessions.
The government taxes gambling operators instead.
Taxation of gambling operators in Australia differs from state to state and different gambling services are taxed in a different way. There are taxes on the turnover, on player loss and net profit. As gambling operators need to obtain a license to offer their services, certain fees must also be paid at this stage of gambling business development.

The fees payable by online and Land Based Casinos are harder to find but they also get taxed on PLAYER LOSSES !!!!!

So don't you think there is something fishy about these online Casinos leaving Australia instead of blaming this Government for nearly everything ????
I am not a paid stooge for the current government .

We all know that Australian gamblers don't get taxed, if you were referring to my comment I said if we were taxed.

I personally do not think there is anything fishy about the accredited casinos I play at.

And most would agree the Australian government is not making the best decisions in a lot of areas. That is a different subject though and each to their own:)

this sort of thing happened in some European countries too, where the local law required the Casino and Sportsbetting company to pay something like 20% of the Turnover, turnover amounts can be astronomical and there's is no logical reason to accept such a requirement, in my opinion, had they had a more sensible approach, the companies would have gotten licences, 5% - 10% of winnings is still good money to be earning for no work at all, but they got greedy with chasing the turnover amounts

Theres a very good reason why we in OZZ dont get taxed on winnings. Put simply, we have the worst slot machine payout percentages in the Western world. 86% . Then there are the lotterys, tattslotto is family owned business family .. """ 100-year veil of secrecy surrounding the names of the Tattersall’s beneficiaries .. The payouts for weekly tattlotto can be as low as 20% of the total revenue derived.

So yea, maybe we dont get taxed, but we get bent over and shafted in other ways.

Could not agree more...

how bad it is, my personal experience ,many time, 300x bet bankroll on a low/medium variant slots and not even get a feature. And consider you lucky if you get a 200-300x win once in a month...if you play often...

Just wanna throw some input in here about casino mate. I have not had a good experience with these guys at all. It seems to be one of those casinos run by robots and uncaring people and too busy to bother with most situations.

I was asked to send in KYC documents 6 weeks ago. I did and I still havent heard back. Ive asked chat once a week whats the problem and they just tell me security hasnt gotten around to it yet. After 1 week I was pretty much not going to play with them because if this is any reflection on payments or issues being sorted, I dont want to be involved. I kept up with it to see how long it would take and I still have the same response. Security will get around to it at some point.

This is a casino that is accredited here but I will not play with in the future.

That's no good, I have been with Casino Mate for about 2 years now.

I don't remember how long it took for me to be verified but it wasn't that long at all.

I haven't made a withdrawal there for a while but when I did it it was 24 hour pending and next day or two in account.

They might be quicker now I think :)

yeah maybe its just one of those things where I get bad service but others do okay.

Is it possible for us Aussies to make a bank transfer withdrawal from House of Jack? I've given up asking their support...they are absolutely hopeless.

It's asking for a "clearing number/bank code" on the withdrawal screen.

bank.webp

I'm assuming that's equivalent to our swift code, but it won't left me put it in....just comes up invalid. SGBLAU2S is the swift code for St George, and that's what I'm trying to put in.

For those us in Australia like myself these changes are a bit painful however there is a reason why the government is doing this and it's not tax related but player protection as there is a scourge of problem gambling in Australia. This includes land based and online casino's and Sports betting etc. The government is regulating land based venues for slots with max bets, venue times, no credit card access at ATM etc so it is hard for them to justify restricting land based venues yet do nothing with online based gambling which realistically could do far more damage.

A max bet of $10 compared to $500 on some slots per spin, having a casino at your fingertips 24x7 and the ability to charge it to your credit card and rack up a massive debt for some people is a recipe for distaster.

Casino-Mate and House of Jack

Hi All,
Thanks for sharing your concerns about Casino-mate and House of Jack.

We have communicated them to the casino manager.
@ LoopsterAU, jimbler and lockinlove, would you please provide your usernames on the casinos and we will follow up on the issues.
We want to address your issues and strive to resolve them.

We also want to inform you that there is no withdrawal limit on HOJ and 10K/week on casino-mate.

regards,
JackedAffiliates Team

Its really hard being migrated from really great, accredited, fast paying casinos to somewhere where we don't have much clue about the casino.

I was playing at House Of Jack made a withdrawal for $200, hours later money is back in my players account. Seems I need to get my documents verified in order to withdraw.

Not a problem uploading documents etc but verification takes up to 72 hours according to their email they sent me.

That is 3 days and then to withdraw, that will take a few days :(

Update: My account was verified this morning, just checked, not even 24 hours so that is a plus :)

Now see how long withdrawal takes. They don't pay weekends so from Monday to Friday.

I played at HOJ and games are playing OK, smooth. I played quite heavy on book of dead. deposited 20K and cashout 22.5K. waiting for my document to be verified.
VIP manager is quite nice and questions get answered quickly. Hope they keep up and provide quality service for us Aussies.

cheers

This is such a PIA, and why I rarely join new sites. I got told a few hours ago that I've got to verify my account again even thought it was done four years ago on Guts. :( I'm currently caring for my father full time, so I don't have any utility bills etc.. to attach because I'm living with him, and he takes care of all the bills.

I've also got no idea how I'm going to withdraw my money. The bank transfer (see the pic a few posts up) still doesn't work for me, even though it's simple to do at Videoslots etc...

I'm going to try and withdraw it back to my visa card now, but I'm not sure if we are able to do that?

It shouldn't take long to verify the email told me 72 hours but it was pretty much the same day. Just check you account where you uploaded files and it should show approved :)

My whole balance just dissapeared

My whole balance of $193 just disappeared ...

Customer service are having ANOTHER day of high volume queries...

I waited an hour on chat two nights ago..

Will update once I get thru to CS

Balance vannished UPDATE

For some reason while playing Secret Admirer my balance went from $193 to 0.01

Told that I needed to 'finish' bets on Medusa and my balance would return...

Went back into Medusa and it was still flashing the last win I had before exiting .. spun again and the balance went back but only to $155 ?

I have never experienced this before anywhere. Ever.

Quite concerning. .

So far House Of Jack is pretty decent :)

Verification took less then 24 hours

It is Monday morning and my withdraw was in my account already, they must have paid it on Sunday?

I thought payments were made between Monday to Friday. Anyway, no complaints here :)

Thanks House Of Jack

That is awesome

House of Jack seems good to go Aussies :) even though I still miss Guts, Rizk etc :(

It's not a massive problem for me as 95% of my gaming is on old school games like Loaded and Thunderstruck 2 which are still available on this new site. I will however miss Dead or Alive when Videoslots eventually bans us. :(

I never played much at Rizk, so that doesn't bother me, but I had an incredible record at Guts. It felt like I could never lose there which is in direct contrast to Videoslots where it feels like I can never win. My deposit/withdrawal record at Video Slots would make for horrific reading.

I'm sure that if there was a way for serious online casinos to get a license in Australia they would obey the regulations, and pay the taxes, that the B&M does. You could have a central self-exclusion registry including central register to set limits etc.

If the Australien Government did it right it is my belief that they could protect problem gamblers far more than to impose a ban. Soon it will just be rogue operators to play at who are regulated by Curacao etc. That means NO player protection what so ever.

My guess is that this bill is "bought" by James Packer as a way to protect his investments in land based casinos in the same way as Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson "buy" politicians in the US.

Anyone here still play at Mr Green? It's a PIA how they regularly send out deposit/free spins emails on games that we aren't eligible to play in Australia. The latest one is a game called "Ivanhoe".

Outdated URL (Invalid)

Unfortunately, I didn't realise that we aren't able to play it down here until after I'd deposited and played through the required amount. Usually the free spins get automatically added to your account on Mr Green once you've met the requirements. Didn't happen this time so I knew something was wrong.

After contacting support they told me to contact them again in another 24 hours so they can add them to another game. I'm not sure why they can't do it instantly? It's only 25 free spins.....I doubt I'd even win $2 with it anyway. :-/

yeah, this happens, and in this case make the promotions team know somehow and they would transfer the spins to a game that does work. The possible reason they can't do it instantly is that they to request the game provider to set them up, Netent's is much easier but some other providers might not be so easy, and since Australia is a restricted country, they may need a special request, just in case

If you are some kind of rep or something, you should contact the admin here so you can have a title. I dont feel comfortable giving someone my personal details I dont know or hasnt been verified. No offense, Im sure you are legit, it would just make me feel more comfortable. Here he is, send him a message https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/casinomeister.1

About casino-mate. Their bonus policy has to go. Winnings capped at 6x for the new welcome bonus is a disgrace and for this reason alone I wll not be depositing with them. They already make wagering 50x and now capping winnings like that. Please.

It would be good if he did get a title as he has been a great help to me with a withdrawal at House of Jack.

Aussies especially need a good rep at Casinos we can play at :)

I am very sad as we are losing another great casino Dunder as of the 27th of June.

Had some great play and wins there :(

So limited now as to where we can play and I don't like going to land based clubs, pubs or casinos.

Damn it Australia going backwards

Codeta are rated highly by Casinomeister and still welcoming Australian Players. Live Games appear to be their "Forte" though.

Thanks for that but how long for?

Will they let us go as well eventually?

I don't want to sign up to new casinos unless I know I can play there for a long time.

House of Jack has been pretty good and pay fast as well, verification was quick and easy too.

Casino Mate is also good but a bit slow with withdrawal as they have 24hour pending but after that its quick. :)
