NO AOL, HOTMAIL OR YAHOO?
?
?
Then what else is there?
One of the criteria for making a PAB is that none of the above email is eligible
I was about to do a PAB but what do I do change my email address?

I never though I would have to do this with this casino but I will wait until I hear about email

I think somewhere Maxd posted they prefer gmail (free accounts, they don't block casino type emails). Hope this helps!

Yup, Gmail (Googlemail) is good. GMX.com is also good. I use both. There are countless others.

FYI, this is discussed in the Pitch-A-Bitch FAQ, here: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/help/pab-rules/

As far as what you need to do for the PAB, just open a non-AOL, non-Hotmail, non-Yahoo account. Takes maybe 5 mins. Give that in the "contact" email slot of the PAB form. Job done!

Check you new email once in a while to see what's happening and that's all there is to it.

Simples, no?

When you use free email, you get what you pay for. Both AOL and Hotmail eat emails coming from Casinomeister. att mails get bounced. yahoo sucks.

If you spend a lot of time on the internet, buy your own domain name and use the email from that. You won't have these sort of problems.

??? I am curious as to why this is even a problem for some that have an internet provider since the provider you use for your internet account usually gives you email accounts for free with it. I guess I am a tad confused on this.

Not many folks are comfortable using their provider email(s) for casino related stuff. And, so I'm told, not all providers give their subscribers email accounts. That sounds a little wacko to me but I've heard it enough times to wonder if there isn't something to it after all.

I dont like my email provider from my cable company as they use outlook express hate it

I use gmail.com or rock.com
get all emails from casino's thru them

It was thoroughly explained above... the web-based free emails you mentioned above BLOCK emails from Casinomeister and most casinos.

Yeah, and I hate using any brand of gasoline since it's destroying the planet in about 1,352 ways, yet, I gotta drive. It's a bitch.

I do not use my provider email for anyone except casinomeister or personal use, I use my hotmail or yahoo for signing up with casinos also. Should have explained that...sorry.

Have a look at that section of the PAB FAQ that I cited above, it's all there. What it says is:
... these services often discard casino-related emails, the result being that you may or may not receive emails we send you. These deletions are random, unpredictably intermittent, and have been going on for years.

The issue with these services -- Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail -- is that they are blocking and/or discarding our emails addressed to you. This isn't something you have any control over. It's done on their mail servers long before the emails ever make it to your inbox. In other words tweaking your spam filters or whitelists will have no effect on the problem because the deletions happen long before these are ever invoked.

This has been a known problem for about 10 years or so. They don't delete _all_ casino related emails _all_ the time, just enough to make them unreliable and therefore unsuitable for the purpose at hand.

Me too. Been using msn & yahoo for years and my CM stuff always comes into my yahoo mail with no problemo. Do a lot of people actually pay monthly for an email account because if I'm missing something really good by not paying for it, I'd like to know please. :)

ps. I save my gmail acct. just for Maxd.

Naw, the email account that comes with your service provider is free. You are not missing anything, since it is just like any other email service except it is a personal one unlike yahoo or AOL that you have to sign up and subscribe to.

Maybe you could submit a second PAB about having a limited choice of email ....

Nefty I just might do that.
Maybe, the yahoo problem only happens in Europe I have had no problem receiving email from the casinos I play at nor from Casinomeister and Maxd.

I wont send a PAB AS yet. I will give another week....Then maybe I wont have to sign up for yet another email account

Don't think that's the case. For the first several years I was in Canada and the US, that's back when the problems started.

Have u ever had a yahoo account that was open for more than a month that was not hacked and spammed and... If ur on a social network sites, you may see spam coming from 'friends emails' ppl u know whom ur pretty sure wouldn't send spam type emails. Well, check those hijacked email addy's, they are never gmail.com ending, but always yahoo and aol. Bad security with bad interface and no open code; Thats why, and google isn't trying to take over the world, they r just trying to antiquate privacy. Which, I agree is gross and sucks, but its the way the world is. No planet for old men, this one. Sorry.

I don`t understand why this even is a case.

I bet there has been cases where the player has said "the casinos has not replied any of my 10 e-mails". When the case is that the player uses a free and bad e-mail account that has bloced the casinos replies.

So I can really understand why they want players so use a better e-mail account in the PAB process.

Well I guess it comes down to two choices:

1. Complete the PAB requirements as stated adhering to the email policy (which everyone else seems to be OK with btw), or

2. Don't submit a PAB and deal with the casino personally.

Considering it's a free service, I'm surprised one would actually seriously complain about what is required to participate. :what:

Just setup a gmail or contact your ISP or whatever. It will only take a little bit of your time and won't cost you anything, so I guess it depends on how much you want your money from the casino.
