Hello,

I am new to the online casino world so this is definitely a good place for me to start.

I am interested in slots and online roulette

Any vets here that can recommend a reputable casino for someone in the U.S.?

Thanks!

thank you very much! I have downloaded 3 dice and am trying out for fun with no money, I like it a lot....

I tried ruby royal but had a bad feeling.......

how is 3 dice roulette rated? as in totally random i hope?!

slots.lv is a no go, they dont accept NY players

Welcome
Your doing the right thing by trying it in fun mode first. 3 dice also has a lot of free tournaments. I don't play roulette very much, but I do play it in the tournaments and found that at 3 dice it seemed very evenly balanced and fair.

As long as you stick to accredited and play for a long run in fun mode to get a feel for it you should be ok. I don't think you will find a live game US facing.

ill have to look into tournament mode.........im guessing all it means is playing with other player live and you are all seeing the same wheel

Not quite. Still your own table - you're just competing against others for score

Tournaments you play alone, but against other players for best total score/cash. Best total points wins whatever the prize is for the tournament. They have a lot of free ones to enter and you can win real cash $10, $20.....
They also have a chat, so if you like to talk to other people while you play you can. I hear that is real popular too.

PS - Always be sure to read and understand the terms and conditions with anything you play. especially bonuses and free play stuff.

thanks for the advice

its cool that you can play a tournament for free without making a deposit and actually win real money.....thats a cool perk from 3 dice.......

roulette tournament in 1 hour for $20 prize...tempting lol

get used to the software, then dep 50 - it gets you vip and access to the vip hourly turneys

Reading around it looks like tst certified casinos are tested for fair play. 3dice is or isnt? Having trouble finding that....maybe another type of certification?

RTG casinos have just recently started adding live dealer games (Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Casino Hold'Em). Unfortunately, these are not the best RTGs, but there are some borderline-decent ones: Sun Palace (Mainstreet Vegas Group) - they are listed with a special status here on CM, and also Cool Cat (Virtual Casino Group) - they are on probation here on CM.

I also heard Club World Group is going to go live - that would be good, as they are accredited and reputable. Let's hope others will catch up too.

I spoke to a 3 dice rep. Told me their roulette is certified and random. Based on what ive read here, I believe it

to be honest i find 3dice roulette to be the fairest ive ever played compared to many roulettes ive played, the only other one close has to be IGT .

Micro gaming , playtech & Netent although they has tst tested i find it hard to believe that these roulettes are a true random RNG . they seem to run very close to a video slot machine to close to be honest

It's not the best question to ask from a casino rep - can't imagine one would ever tell you their games are rigged :)
So yes, you should rather base it on what you have read and, most importantly, on what you have NOT read - 3Dice has been around for 7 years, lots of people played there, and therefore not seeing a single post proving their games are rigged is a good sign.

Helpful. Makes sense. RNG is just another type of cert similar to tst which test the gaming software for randomness?

RNG = Random Number Generator
TST (i think they are now called Gaming Labs) is an organization which tests and certifies RNGs. There are several such organizations, the most famous one is eCogra, but unfortunately it does not certify US-facing casinos.

Lots of good info. I appreciate it

Ive been looking for live games, living in the u.s. theres really no options, so I will look into sun palace since they are accredited here. Roulette doesnt seem to popular here but thats my game and I feel comfortable playing it live as long as the casino is regulated

Ok, I see. They arent rogue but not accredited due to length of payment time. Not bad.

By the US-friendly casinos' standards it is indeed "not bad". Unfortunately. Players in other countries can easily find a casino always paying within 2 days to a reputable eWallet. Americans do not have such a luxury.

Also, when it comes to paying winnings to a US player there is always a mix of valid reasons for a delayed payment (small payment processors, foreign banks, cheques in the snail mail), questionable reasons (casinos waiting to make sure you did not charge back your deposit), and rogue tricks (hey, let's hold it for a month and see if he reverses his withdrawal to play more and loose).

And it's very difficult to tell the three apart. Should your cashout become overdue, casino reps would always blame the technical issues and third-party processors, regardless of whether it is true or they are just tricking you. The only thing you can do is ask around and research how it worked out for others.

For now ill stick to 3dice until a better live casino services U.S. customers. However I may try sun palace some time soon. I am really wanting to try live gaming it looks awesome

i was browsing information about sun palace....says they are cds certified...is that similar to other fairness certs? sorry for all the questions...id suppose with live table games it would be no chance of any funny business. looks like they accept neteller withdrawls that should be fairly quick to

There are all kinds of different certs out there. As a new player, I would recommend that you stick to the accredited list of places at least for a while until you get your feet wet and understand all the things that can go wrong.
Netteller is not available to US customers.
Read through the America the beautiful section threads as well as the payment issues threads for tips on payments. It can be frustrating at times. These threads will at least prepare you for what can happen and help you make intelligent choices.

No, CDS (Central Disputes System

) is an organization supposedly resolving disputes between players and casinos powered by RTG software. They are, however, not very effective to say the least.

RNG fairness should not be you primary concern when playing in a casino powered by mainstream software, which is used by dozens of other casinos.

Instead, worry about voided payouts, delayed payouts, and tricky terms. If still confused - do what Googobucs suggested, stick with the CM Accredited casinos, or, at very least those who are not on the CM rogue list.
