Just thought I might post this, new fees for neteller and all.

New fees effective April 1
Start saving on your credit and debit
card deposits

Dear xxxxx,

NETELLER will be updating some member fees effective April 1 2008.

Most notably, credit and debit card deposit fees will be reduced to 1.75% from 3.9%, a savings of 55% on each transaction!

We will also be updating our foreign exchange and withdrawal fees. No fee changes have been made to the Prepaid Card - it's still the best way to withdraw funds.

Please visit our website for full details.

The NETELLER Payment Network

same_old, as it seems you're another aussie who uses neteller, don't you find it annoying that other then the prepaid card, the only withdrawal method available is check?

I find money bookers much better, who will direct deposit into your bank account with 24-48 hrs, as they have a bank acct setup in Australia.

Sorry, only quoted an email they sent me

Its backwards, the first email is at the bottom

The bank transfer withdrawal fee will still remain 1.00 even after the new fee structure takes place.

Sincerely,

:eek2::eek::mad:Options withdrawal: Bank Transfer 7.5 euro ... the first was 1 euro :barf:

agree with you, that's an increase around incredible 650%

what imagined Neteller thereby?

They have lost much money in the past, do they want to recover now their money in that they increase the fees?

and it seems that they want that all customers request a prepaid card

I find that simply incredibly and one should think about to use another
e-wallet (who can) also if it will still remain after the new fees structure takes place.

very bad NETELLER

You guys are all forgetting the other change. Apart from going to 1$/transaction to 10$ they will also charge 2,5% in currency fees instead of 1,9% that they charge today.

So neteller should definitely be avoided as much as possible in the future.

VIP's will be getting FREE withdrawals, and 1.75% foreign exchange rate from April the 1st

It's not quite what it seems though, VIPs still have to pay the full rate, but get a monthly cashback on the 10th of each following month. It is clear their CS (as expected) don't have much of a clue, and are still telling people that bank transfers are still 1, as it is now, yet their notifications seem to contradict this.
They have made the error of clarifying their exorbidant exchange fees, we now KNOW it is 2.5%, whereas before you had to want to look to find it, and I expect many players just accepted that there would always be "rounding" on their transactions.

They have only JUST informed the VIPs about this, so maybe they were not originally planning this, but got worried that their best customers would "walk" and try another eWallet, such as Moneybookers, whose fees, if unchanged, are now significantly lower than Neteller for non-VIPs at least.

Cry me a fricken river...

5 to withdraw to your bank account I think, used to be 1:eek2:

Prepaid card is 0.50 to load and then 2 per withdrawal from an ATM. Think I need to investigate if there is a cheaper ewallet option for UK users

Damn, I just paid $72 for a cashout of only $250. QT hit me for $30 then some damn internet processor nailed me for another $10, finally my bank has a international wire fee of $32. It's really not worth it anymore, even when I win, I still lose.

Ths is what happens when there is no competition in the market place. QT know full well that what THEY are doing is illegal (they are "processing gambling transactions), they know that US customers WANT to play, and WILL PAY these rip-off fees where there is no alternative.

IF UIGEA gets overturned, QT will go bust in short order, as the competition will re-enter the market.

As for Neteller, for VIPs at least, they are now CHEAPER than the rest, however, non-VIPs are significantly worse off, and should look at the likes of Moneybookers.

If they transact a great deal through Neteller, they might like to try to manipulate their comps system.

1) Verify account, connect to your bank account & complete micro-transfer verification.

2) Request upgrade to "extended".

3) Win a decent sum (this is the hardest bit;) )

4) Withdraw winnings to Neteller, and then to linked bank.

5) Contact support because you are worried your balance limit is too low for the kind of action you produce through other eWallets and cards etc.

6) I order to upgrade you to a 25,000 or even greater, limit, they have to make you VIP.

7) VIP = free withdrawals & 1.75% exchange fees - cheaper than most cards.

A lifetime "handle" of 1,000,000+ through Neteller should be enough to get an INVITE to VIP.:p
