An honest review of TheSunPlay.co.uk
About a month ago, I was searching for promos and came about this site. Offered a nice bonus to open, so thought I’d run with it. Deposited £20 with no issues, no ID required to deposit or set up the account (obviously). Ran the bonus up to £950 on one of the big bass games and it only allowed me to keep £200 of that, I watched the balance go from 950 to 200 after the x66 wagering, which took HOURS. Very deflating but went to withdraw. This is where the problems began.
They wanted, driving licence, debit card scans, PayPal account screenshots, utility bills AND a bank statement. The upload portal is designed to make it very difficult for you to upload the documents. Their image scanner crashes often and then states the ID isn’t readable. After back and forth emails for two weeks I finally got 5 methods uploaded. Of course in this time I had spent the £200 and hadn’t deposited again until today.
It stated withdrawal methods were unavailable until I’d added a card. Apple Pay was used previously. To add a card, they charge a £1 verification fee through your bank.
I spun up £20 to £60 today and though screw this site. Went to withdraw and as you can imagine, incredibly difficult again. First off, they charge a £2.50 processing fee. LAUGHABLE. What site charges processing fees in the UK? Not many, but the sun play exceeds itself. The buttons to click to withdraw initially show minimum withdrawal as £50 until you find a small button which says ‘other’. You can then withdraw a minimum of £19.99. As you click withdraw it then asks ‘are you sure you want to carry on’. You automatically click the biggest button that’s available that conveniently states ‘no’. So you go back through it all again. Then there’s check and tick boxes and four pages later it tells you your withdrawal will be in your account in 5 working days.
Furthermore, the RTP on some of these games is the lowest I’ve seen. Big bass golden lake for example is 92.07%. Most sites I play on are 94-96%.
This site really does feel like an absolute scam and I will be closing my account as soon as my withdrawal is received. If I can even stop one person from giving this nightmare any of their money, I’ve done my good deed for the day.
