Near death by gambling!!

Greensmoke

My husband of 40+ years decided to quit when our boys gave him the gift of the e-cigs for christmas last year. He started with the 1.8 nicotine , dropped down to .9 nicotine and then he went nicotine free in 8 months. I am so grateful for the gift he got. The brand he received was Greensmoke pro kit which we found out our nephew is using and many others.

The kit comes complete with chargers for cars, computers and the ac/dc outlets in the home. He never had an issue with them and neither has anyone I know that uses them. You have to order them on line at

. My sons did a lot of research before choosing this brand to give my husband.

Good luck on your road to becoming smoke free, and thank goodness you were not harmed.

Was just reading another story there bout a girl who put it in her cars charger and it blew up, caused a accident but no-one was hurt.

E cig? Man this electronic, google, apps, iphone, etc. Everything is becoming virtual, after a while nothing will be real any more. This is sad, must people can't even remember phone numbers any more. They have them all programmed in their phones. Mindless WOW!!!

I use the Ecigs as well. Have done for the last 3 months or so after kicking the habit but I dont use the rechargeable ones, far too much effort and hassle and prone to breaking or running out of the top up liquid. I smoke the disposable Ecigs and their great. Tesco, sainsburies, Asda and most petrol station forecourts sell them, usually the Nicolites or the 10motivesbrands. I`ve used both and both makes are very good :)

I feel these disposable brands are pretty good as well, I have used them in the past a fair bit....

However don't knock the rechargeable ones (when the batterys are safe!). They are not fiddly or effort once you are used to them and you can control the strength of the nicotine (from very strong indeed down to 0 content) along with the flavour (hundreds of nice flavours to choose from). Once you get used to it you wont go back.

ecigs

I would do some research on these. They're[]'re not as safe as people think..they're too new for good long term research to have been done..Some say even 2nd hand vapor could be bad...worth a look I think.

Shocking, it keeps happening with the cheap Chinese models.
I've been using these since 2006 and blogging about them too.
Use Totally Wicked, you can't go wrong with them, a bit more expensive but well worth it.

Based on the experiences and the stories from the ecig, I would really just give up on using one to help you quit. The truth is that you are still inhaling nicotine so ,although less harmful, you are basically going round in circles. You need to be physically and emotionally ready to quit and if you get these two right, you will manage on your own. My hubby was a smoker of 20 years and tried absolutely everything there is on the market including the Ecig which did nothing except caused more stress and anxiety. Until one day, he finally woke up and decided, this is it! This is the day i will stop. He went to hypnotherapy a few times and has not had a cigarette in 2 months. He also hates the smell of them now! I pray that he will never turn to them again..awful habit and a difficult one to kick but not impossible!

I am very glad that you were unharmed but my best advice to all who want to give up is...Make sure you want it bad enough and you will manage without the help of any devices, patches, meds etc.

Good luck and never give up trying.

Regards,
Rebecca.

Four days, cigarette free.

Thanks to silcnlayc :notworthy, I have not had a cigarette for over four days, now. I bought the e-cig and it is just like smoking a cigarette!

No shocks or fires as of now and even my husband is joining me, too.

The Greensmoke.com e-cig is very good. The best I've tried.

I feel a little 'punchy' and tired but it's all good!

I'm 51 ..so it's now or never.;)

So, I'm gradually reducing the nicotine down to zero. That's the plan, stan.:)

good luck  filthy habit (yes, I'm a smoker lol)

Outside of necessities (rent, bills, food, dogs etc), smoking is easily our biggest expense (well, some weeks more in gambling lol)..but unlike gambling, there's no return - it's just a money sucker.
We've tried, but two short-fused peeps in this house, it always go south, and one has zero inclination to quit

Jim and I are two short-fused peeps, too! But it doesn't make a difference! Trust me, this weekend was a yelling and tempered time...but the e-cig was there for me. It just is the same as a cig..we almost threw the heavier cig at each other..lol..but it IS the same.

I talked to a pharmacist today ( one of my customers) and she said it is the best thing because Nicotine is just what the e-cig is...but without the 'other' crap that is deadly and she said that after three years, cig free, it's like one never smoked..almost;)

I guess, you just have to be in the 'zone' to have the mindset to quit...my mindset was and is...this is the last time for me at 51 to quit, since this e-cig is just like a cig...so why would I buy another pack of cigs again? What's the point?

I can reduce the nicotine gradually, even with agro with family...it's the same 'hit'.

Find them maybe on facebook as they give out discount. PS it is not because I am a seller for them or helping them. Just being honest about what is best out there. For good reasons I can't say if any of the many new brands are good or just as safe. Any questions just shoot me an PM

Can you pm me the link?... i think i got it but just to be sure thanks :)

didn't read all the comments... I have been smoking an eGo-t for 6 days now (no nasty tobacco in that time yay!!) and I love it but holy heck your experience must have been damn scary!
