OMG, so, i had decided to cut down on the ciggies (well try to quit eventually) and bought myself one of those E Cigs of Ebay a few weeks back.

I always went outside when smoking so it was quite handy when i was having a flutter on the slots.

I took advantage of Heypokers monthly reload bonus, stuck my E Cig in the side of the laptop and had just started to play when i heard a strange hissing noise coming from the E Cig. Subconsciously i pulled the cig outta the charger ad BANG, my house lit up like the Hindenburg!!

Thank god i am ok as i nearly blew my hand off!!


I am now sticking to good safe tobacco

Ps, i have been advised to buy one with the British Kite Mark on and i advise everyone else who uses them to do the same.

Awh thanks, it was one of the Rechargeable Shisa pens.

I reported it to the Fire Safety Service this morning and she told me it was the 9th case this month. Apparently it has a lot to do with the stacked batteries inside them.

They are very popular here and many of my friends use them , they are good if you are wanting to quit at your own pace, don't blame you for going back to Cigs. but if you are truly commited to stop smoking , there are other brands out there and I damned sure would launch a complaint against that brand that really could have killed you. If it happened to you , it could happen to others who may not be so lucky.

To be fair, it was only a girl on the other side of the phone who probably only puts it on record. I have a fire safety officer coming to my home Monday morning as they want to see the remains of the E Cig, he/she willprolly fill me in better.

Well I imagine that the person will simply stick a label on the remains that says "Smoking Kills" and be done with it.

One of if not the best are these guys vipelectroniccigarette.co.uk/ problem is I don't think they ship to US but not really researched you might find they deal with US market. They were i think the first one or at least one of the first on market. They are brilliant used myself. All their products are very safely checked....supposed to most safe on market compared to those other low cost ones. I would not trust them at all. I am wanting to invest in one of their new ones soon as sick and tired of all the tobacco smoking hehe

Sadly I am only in the initial stages of the invention, for now I use bottles of water and watch episodes of "Star Trek" the original series; after about 30 minutes I become listful and undecided, and find the adverts on cbs quite informative, I think it works. But more research is needed.

I feel that because i was ok i'll just put it down to experience. I have been looking and researching some of the more expensive ones. Not a lot of research has been done on these E Cigs and i feel that it should be done.

I feel these disposable brands are pretty good as well, I have used them in the past a fair bit....

However don't knock the rechargeable ones (when the batterys are safe!). They are not fiddly or effort once you are used to them and you can control the strength of the nicotine (from very strong indeed down to 0 content) along with the flavour (hundreds of nice flavours to choose from). Once you get used to it you wont go back.

I would do some research on these. They're[]'re not as safe as people think..they're too new for good long term research to have been done..Some say even 2nd hand vapor could be bad...worth a look I think.

Use Totally Wicked, you can't go wrong with them, a bit more expensive but well worth it.

Based on the experiences and the stories from the ecig, I would really just give up on using one to help you quit. The truth is that you are still inhaling nicotine so ,although less harmful, you are basically going round in circles. You need to be physically and emotionally ready to quit and if you get these two right, you will manage on your own. My hubby was a smoker of 20 years and tried absolutely everything there is on the market including the Ecig which did nothing except caused more stress and anxiety. Until one day, he finally woke up and decided, this is it! This is the day i will stop. He went to hypnotherapy a few times and has not had a cigarette in 2 months. He also hates the smell of them now! I pray that he will never turn to them again..awful habit and a difficult one to kick but not impossible!

I am very glad that you were unharmed but my best advice to all who want to give up is...Make sure you want it bad enough and you will manage without the help of any devices, patches, meds etc.

No shocks or fires as of now and even my husband is joining me, too.

I feel a little 'punchy' and tired but it's all good!

I'm 51 ..so it's now or never.

So, I'm gradually reducing the nicotine down to zero. That's the plan, stan.

Jim and I are two short-fused peeps, too! But it doesn't make a difference! Trust me, this weekend was a yelling and tempered time...but the e-cig was there for me. It just is the same as a cig..we almost threw the heavier cig at each other..lol..but it IS the same.

I talked to a pharmacist today ( one of my customers) and she said it is the best thing because Nicotine is just what the e-cig is...but without the 'other' crap that is deadly and she said that after three years, cig free, it's like one never smoked..almost

I guess, you just have to be in the 'zone' to have the mindset to quit...my mindset was and is...this is the last time for me at 51 to quit, since this e-cig is just like a cig...so why would I buy another pack of cigs again? What's the point?

I can reduce the nicotine gradually, even with agro with family...it's the same 'hit'.
