Just wanted to see how everybody been doing this year, seen a lot of posts saying they having the worst luck, and others saying they are ahead. Wanted to just see how we're all doing. Personally I'm down by about $6000.00, playing mostly slots and some BlackJack (Blackjack went pretty good but slots sucked it away )

Not sure if many remember me still :D, know I've been lurking, mostly because well didn't have that much interesting things to note, and I see the more active members usually helping the less well informed ones so didn't personally see the need to jump in.

Still I wish everybody Happy holidays (PC how it changes the feelings of the spirit of this time of year.. know what, Merry Christmas, there I said it.. can politically correct me latter :p).

I'm Up!

Well, here is my statistics to date:
1. Bet365: +3.839$+Laptop from Casinomeister's Giveaway!
2. BetVoyager: +11.875$

BTW, 98% of all winnings received from Roulette.

Congratulations on the laptop.

98% from roulette, that's just , I never seem to do any good with it for some reason. You always hear people saying "I got a system" personally I rub my lucky 15 year old troll (who remembers these? recently got one for my niece as they seem to still be kind of ok with the kids).

Anyone that says they are up, I don't believe it.

And even if they are, they will be down next year.

Apart from Kasino King. But he is an exception and obviously has a lot of spare time on his hands. ;)

My, My Monkeymagic

MonkeyMagic - I sense that you are a cynic!

It's a sorry thing that you've had such poor luck but to attempt to thrust your mood onto anyone else is sad.

Hey - here's hoping you'll have a better 2009!

Truly fortunate,
silentvet

My stats are not near any of the choices listed - I would say I'm down in 2008 but only like maybe 300.00

sorry - just seen me I 'm down a little but had a lot of fun playing mainly @ Rival casinos.

Yeah - well I only have ONE little Monkey to look after! :D
Hope you & your little ones are doing as well as ours.

I ain't nothing special; what I do is not rocket science, just knowing when to stop (and I don't always get that right! :p)
I voted option 1 because as of the end of November (my first losing month since June 2007) my profit stood at $10,025 - so as long as I can hold it together through December I will hit year end at $10K+. That would be my best year ever! (Thank you Ladbrokes!)
Glad to see I'm not the only one in that bracket!

Good poll!

Nice to see the majority of people making a nice profit.

I wonder how these Casinos stay in business?

Woofy has found a good home

 I was one of those peeps...I so miss him too...:(

 I actually put that one in just to see if anybody would click on it..

Seems it pretty even with win and loss so far, seems some people made good profit even though others say it tight playing this year.

 The 5th down from the top seems to match your stats:-

Loss of $1 to $1000.

Better luck next year!

The gambler's lament

I'm actually a bit interested who clicked that they sold their dog woofy

You b@$tard! Why oh why did you have to bring up the subject of Woofy?
I know I have only myself to blame for playing poker with the head of the vivisection clinic! But he had only one out! One out on the river!
R.I.P. (Rest in Pieces) Woofy, my badly beaten friend!
:)

Sorry but woofy sure is getting sold around it seems, still good to see many did do pretty good this year. Hope 2009 will be just as good for those that won, and to those that didn't well as the saying goes "There's always next time', or was it "might have won the battle, but not the war".. "An egg doesn't yet make a chicken"?? ok getting lost.

Anyway keep up the winnings and hope to see it all get better in 2009, and that woofy may find a good home We all miss him

I picked down 1-1000, but I suspect it is a little more than that. I didn't want to pick "pretty bad", because I never expect to win. It is certainly more than that if you count my B&M visits. But the year is not over yet, ya never know. I'm sure that $1500 would leave me ahead.

It has been a BAD year, mainly down to the second half. I lack the discipline of KK, who has made a remarkable profit of 10K. I tend to get carried away with games such as 3 card poker, and fail to cash out at the best level.

I suspect in hindsight that the loss of my Dad may have lead to me going "on tilt" on occasion, I have always had a tendency to chase for a target I have already been above, but have fallen through by sticking too long to the wrong game.

I have decided to restrict my access to methods of funding from outside my Neteller account. Currently, I can put money into the system through two credit cards, and two debit cards. I have closed off one of these cards, and am considering restricting my use of the other, perhaps by taking advantage of one of their balance transfer offers and then not using the card until the offer expires.

This will make it far harder to put more money in when tempted by bonus offers, and this should make me more careful about managing what I have in Neteller.

With a more robust attitude to cashing out at the best times, I would most likely be showing a PROFIT for the year.

I have often thought (and sometimes said) that perhaps CREDIT cards should be banned as a deposit method, and that only DEBIT cards should be available, along with the other options. Card companies are certainly coming to that conclusion, but seem to prefer changing terms to make large amounts of money from such transactions, rather than deciding them as too high a risk to allow in the present economic climate.

Some casinos make it rather HARD to make a break from a particular credit card, as they insist on sending withdrawals back to it, making it "necessary" for it to be used to deposit again.

The loss of the US market seems to have made things "tighter" than they were before, less offers, and tighter restrictions. I have at least avoided having winnings confiscated by taking liberties with bonus offers, as while this would certainly make profit inevitable, it could easily lead to loss of future opportunity, and even confiscated winnings.

A rough year. Actually the worst ever online.

Down about 20k. When I "reached" that mark early this month I decided not to deposit any more this year.

it would be very interesting to know if they lost at
MicroGaming an which casino

Real Time Gaming an which casino

Playtech an which casino

WagerLogic an which casino

Proprietary an which casino

Rival an which casino

I am sure I have left some software out

I mostly play at Microgaming, and a little at REPUTABLE RTG casinos, and Intercasino. I stopped playing at Littlewoods when they abandoned Cryptologic (I actually came out ahead a little here).

I have had a few big hits, the biggest being the double RF at 32Red, but the long dry spells have been longer and harsher between the hits. 32Red has long since sucked back the double RF, and returned to form as being one of my unluckiest MG casinos. The suck seems to have been extra harsh to get back the RF win on top of the normal hold that is expected of it.

RTG has been pretty poor too, bonus rounds are so poor, usually returning under 10x bet, yet they seem harder to trigger than ever before. Even when I get a whole crop of RTG bonus rounds, they all seem poor, and I STILL end up with next to nothing.

I avoid Playtech, mainly because many of their casinos have some kind of "attitude problem" with British players, on top of which, they seem very keen on using their "F U clauses". There are a small number of Playtech casinos that I might feel safe with, since they are accredited, however the lack of "backbone" being shown by the new(ish) whitelisted jurisdictions has me worried.

i havent made any statistics but i will do that for 2009. in total i guess i have lost a couple thousand dollars.

my biggest wins was $2000 at Rushmore (RTG), $900 at Vegas Towers (Microgaming), $700 at Superior (Rival) and i had some great wins at playtech in the spring but cant remember which casinos

I play in online casinos since summer 2008. Since then I have always kept track about all my deposits and all my withdrawals. I think I'm doing quite well:
