I had two emails earlier from moneybookers, 1 was a failed login attempt and 2nd was password changed. This happened at 5.11am in uk time. While i was asleep. I have let moneybookers know it wasnt me,And still no reply ? I had no money in thankfully, And they didnt upload funds through my cc. Now i never had a problem there untill i got a security check to send in id. I rang them up aswell and man said add new email and new password. I did all that and this happens a week or so later ? MMMMMMMMm sounds fishy to me. Anyhow i am trying to find out how do i close the account ? Its back to vouchers and deposit at lads bookies for me. Its lucky it wasnt 10 days ago when i had $4000 in there. I am a bit behind on this internet lark, But it seems so easy to hack in to my accounts, Also do they have my email passwords ? Yes i have changed all passwords now,But surley they still can hack me ? So a warning to you all useing moneybookers and also any advice to me would be great. Thanks

when you recieved these emails from Moneybookers did they address you by your legal name or did it say dear account holder

if you are not addressed by your legal name then it is a bogus email to get your info an when you change email an password they got it

Good Luck

You were lucky - this time. :)

Next time, be more careful and if you get another email like that, call them immediately. Don't fill out any forms on the web when you get something like that. You don't know who your information is going to, if you're not too careful. :D

I have had my password changed for the 3rd time now since that 1st post. They surely must have my email details somehow to do this ? Its happening about 430am uk time every time. I am ringing moneybookers 1st thing in morning its very odd. They are taking no money tho ? And yes emails are genuine because my password has been changed.

Interesting...if it's happening at the same time every time, it almost sounds like a systems glitch on their end...

I assume that you've ran various anti-spyware programs?

One usually doesn't catch everything, so it's always best to double up on it.

AdAware, combined with Spybot search and destroy usually catches everything. To be safe, boot into safe mode before running either one. That way if something is loading during windows startup, it won't have a chance to circumvent the results of each scan.

I done a spyware check last week,It was all clean apart from interbet casino.
Thinking about this, To change moneybookers password,You need to click on link in email,Now these emails are unopened ? The password has been changed tho, So how can they change it without clicking on link in email ? So perhaps they aint got my email details ? Oh i am confused as hell.

I'd do another scan in safe mode just to make sure that nothing else comes up...you can't be too careful!

Is there any way you could post the log from your first scan? It'd be interesting to see what exactly was infecting your computer and if it has any bearing on your moneybookers problem....just as a precaution, once your computer is disinfected, it'd be wise to change all of your stored passwords that you use...even if you've changed them before, that was when your computer was infected, so more than likely they could have these as well.

hi guys

hey guys you need to get a verification engine. i had somebody a while back get all my neteller infor by sending me a phlishing page and this was back when phlishing was something that was just coming out. at least i did,nt hear about it until after it happened to me and i know there was a thead on this site about it happening to alot of people. this was back when people in the u.s.a could use neteller to put money in the casinos on line. i downloaded a verification engine and every webpage i go to it tells me if it a real page or a phlishing site. i love it it helps so much to know that i,m on a real site and to know that no one is going to get anything from me again. so please think about getting one it helps so much.

I think i explained it wrong jas, To change password, I went to moneybookers homepage myself, And i had to click on email link they sent there and then to change password,I never clicked on the messages when i didnt request them, My password was changed 3 times in past fortnight,And them emails were not opened, So i really am very baffeled how they changed my password without clicking on link ?
I have done a 3rd scan, It said congrats nothing found, Also now know if you right click report you can save it/ Pity i never knew for 1st scan.
So i am thinking winbig might be right on its a glitch at there end ?
I mean who would change a password every week and not do anything else ?
Lets see if it gets changed again lol
email and moneybookers passwords changed yet again BY ME

Also what i found alarming with moneybookers is , I tryed to get my account locked on purpose, Ie keep puting wrong password in etc.... All it does is lock you out for 5 mins or so lol. Is there anyway you can lock the account yourself ?
