The available methods for casino banking is growing short for US residents. Neteller and Citadel/ECheck just dropped US players. Firepay dropped US residents awhile ago. Credit Cards and wire transfers are not available.

What are the best alternatives out of what is left?

I just called Citadel because i got a check for a withdrawal issued from Citadel Commerce last week, but has one more day holding period (per my bank's policy..even if check is from out of state)..so I was worried they wouldn't honor it. Thank goodness they said that it would (anything prior to this date) be honored. But I will officially feel better when the funds are actually available in my account for me to take out.

Only other ones I can think of is Payspark (it has its issues, but I have used the Payspark ATM card to withdraw at a regular ATM), and Click2Pay. You almost hate to list the remaining options in case its viewed by the wrong folks, and they seek them out too..but here's knocking on wood...

No need to hide payment providers.
You do not want to deal with those that are afraid to be mentioned on the boards.

The trick is that there will be fellows who will openly and legaly decline to be related to US laws. Those guys should also be entrusted. i.e. there will be a bank that the money is there in trust.

epassporte has fees to deposit and withdraw. I hated them the brief time I used them. Netspend and Western Union both have fees, right?

click2pay doesn't have any fees, and I've used them a tiny amount (setting up the account was a titanic PITA).

Instadebit doesn't seem to have any fees, but also seems to have low limits. (Just signed up, haven't used them).

Also, some casinos (e.g. bodog) have their own proprietary echeck offerings, which do ACH directly from your bank account.

Cynthia777, I don't know that this is a viable option now since Payspark and Parent CreditCard Services Company ("CSC") maintains www.issuers.com and its related sites are based in Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon... Just wondering if Isreal attacks again would our money really be safe there ?

You can get money into your casino account the trouble I foresee is getting any winnings out. So far my debit card still works and Instadebit which I have been using for several months now.

If you have noticed more and more casinos have been offering Instadebit. Did they know this was coming?

As far as I am concerned I am done until the dust settles. This is way too much hassle.

I totally agree...the hassles and hurdles involved create such a headache..its just not worth it..
the uncertainty of gettin money back is enough to make me stay far away...
but the weird thing is I find myself not that far away:rolleyes:

Probably the best thing to do is take a walk outside and get some fresh air.

Thanks for those links!

I can't go outside now though...it's rainy with some sleet mixed in.
Nasty stuff!

Just as a note RobWin, I have used Payspark for many years, back since they were Gaming Card. Their bank has always been in Beirut (Lebanon Gulf Bank), and I've never once had any sort of payment issue with them. I use their ATM card, funds are available right away. The only drawback is that they don't work in real time, like Neteller and Firepay did. They only update their accounts during (their) banking hours. If a casino sent me a payment right now, it probably wouldn't reflect in my account until tomorrow. And they do charge a % fee for withdrawing via debit card, but that's never bothered me as there are fees for everything it seems. I've never waited longer than half an hour for email response to a query. It's always been my EWallet of choice, but of course, it's only an option for Microgaming casinos.

If I use ECheck at a casino, when I cash out (aren't I optomistic?), how are the funds disbursed to me?

I still have $900 in my Neteller account and did go online and request a debit card. The auto reply said 3 wks to process, but I'm not holding my breath.

ECheck is no longer an option for US PackerBacker. These methods are out: Neteller, Firepay, Moneybookers, ECheck and Citadel.

The following deposit options are still available (as of now): Click2Pay and Payspark - Payspark (Micro only) is actually now called EziPay. Also available are Instadebit, EcoCard (funded by Western Union, Moneygram or bank transfer), Western Union and prepaid debit cards (such as Netspend), although I have heard that the prepaid card option will be ending soon.

As to withdrawal methods - Click2Pay, Payspark (EziPay), Instadebit, EcoCard, wire transfer or cheque. If anyone else knows of any others, make sure to add them. Click2Pay and Payspark both offer an ATM card for immediate withdrawal also.

I hear click2pay is best now.

Payspark is undergoing some changes, including a name change and will be much better soon.

Not all casinos withdraw through click2pay yet, but is being implemented. ( they should have thought ahead, geez!!!!)

I wouldn't worry about withdrawals, although they will take longer. The LAST thing casinos want now is to piss you off by not paying out, they are working their butts off making it fast and easy again.

Unbelievable they got caught off guard, they thought they had time til the IGUEA took effect.

Smart move by the DOJ.

I also used them for years until last july when my bank stopped processing my deposits to them. When the first one showed up as declined I called my bank and spoke with a Vice President there and asked why my deposit had been declined and to my surprise I was told that they were informed by the bank regulators to watch for currency exchanges to Beirut since Hezbollah was in the opinoin of the US goverment a terrorist organization and apparently now running the country. :eek2:

You probably would not be affected by this since you live in Canada and not the US but for US players Payspark like I said earlier will most likely not be a viable option.

Dom, how will they (Payspark) be much better soon ? By changing their name ?

I just made an attempt to sign up at Click2Pay. Guess their server is overwhelmed. I filled in the first page of the registration form, clicked 'continue', it said 'verifying data' then 'page cannot be displayed'. Just great. Refreshed and it brought up the original blank form. So if I go and do it all again do they think I'm trying to make two accounts? Did any of the info process? Will they contact me? Do I need to contact them?

Screw it. I'm too tired and angry to puck with this chit tonight anyway.

If you didn't get to the page where it asked for your bank information, the original account was not created, and you can start over fresh without worries.

EcoCard ACH No Good For US Players Either

Seems as though another blockage is occuring too. I just tried to register my bank account over at EcoCard and it came back up with this message:

# Transaction ID Result code Description

I find this very interesting. Just when our Government stops US players from gambling online and makes sure our US banks cannot get a piece of the action, then this article hits. Amazing how the Corporations can jump in on online gambling while our idiot Government stops its citizens in their tracks for online gambling.

I would think the US banks would be spitting fire seeing the other banks located outside of the US can reap those billions of dollars from the online gamblers. No wonder LV Hilton wants a piece of that with their own bank in the UK reaping the rewards.

LV Sands to Launch Online Casino

Las Vegas Sands Corp. today announced plans to enter the online casino and poker market, with a product initially aimed exclusively at players in the UK.

The project will be a joint venture between the owner of the Venetian, Sands, Palazzo, and Paiza brands and Cantor Gaming, which is already in partnership with Sands Corp. via its deal with the Venetian to be the first casino to offer mobile gaming devices in Nevada.

The site is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2007 and offer all the most popular casino games, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker, slots, and online poker, and will offer customer age and location verification, online payment processing, and customer service.

The project won't be the first time that a US land-based gaming company has dipped a toe into European waters: Previous attempts by MGM Mirage and the Hard Rock to launch online casinos across the pond proved unsuccessful, as did a similar foray by Playboy magazine. But back then online gambling was not at peek levels as it has been in the past few years esp. with online Poker sites and the ever growing Poker tourney's.

We'll await future developments of the Sands' project with interest.

Great idea! Just more reasons for U.S. residents NOT to get paid if they win anyway! There's always going to be Western Union for depositing because the money's sent to an individual person and the names change constantly to keep WU from getting suspicious, but who wants to gamble twice with their hard earned money? Grind it out at a casino, and then grind it out again wondering if your money will get to you. No thanks!

Who do you think funded (bribed) Senator Frist, Kyle and the others in their anti-gambling campaine? Harras and the Sands that's who!

This whole anti-online gambling thing in the US was about cutting off access to online casinos from outside the US and clearing out the competition so the big US companies could move in to the US market without haveing to fight for market share. A bunch of us have been saying this all along.

The US casino companies could not compeate with the existing online casino companies, so the existing companies had to be driven out of business or just driven out of the US Market.

This whole thing has been a perfect example of the US Government and big business working to make each other richer and cut out everyone else.

This all about BIG money and who is going to make it... The Sands, Harras and the US DOJ says its going to be the US companies and not a few small time upstart companys from outside the US.

In about a year or so most everyone in the US will be able to play online legally at US based casinos and you'll be able to use any of your credit cards at those US based casinos... mark my words...

What I wonder about is how the lawyers for the government feel about being used to screw over the American people and as a tool to make more money for US Casinos.

Please someone tell me I have nothing to worry about. I finally managed to cash out for the first time after many many many deposits. The withdrawl was from fortune lounge group for a little shy of $3000. I only deposit through western union so I withdrew courier check. Check came just wednesday and I haven't cashed it yet. It is a Citadel Commerce Corp. check with First Regional Bank also printed on it (not sure why thats there). It's through Proc-Cyber Services. Please tell me I am not going to have a problem cashing this thing. If my depositing is a bad thing then shouldn't my withdrawl be a good deed. Isn't that $3000 less some evil-doer has in his budget for terror ?

Thanks for any info or suggestions

By the way the check is dated January 15

Cynthia 's post (#3) in this thread is what has me concerned. Thanks for the response.

Yes, but did you read the whole thread? I'm pretty sure Cynthia posted again that she had contacted Citadel and was told all cheques already sent and issued would be honoured. Not those exact words, but that's the gist of it I think.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get around the $100 a week spending limit with Click2Pay? I've tried calling the toll free number and it rings busy constantly and my emails haven't been answered.

Any assistance would be appreciated..

Hi Vickie, I don't use them myself (do have an account, just don't use it). Anyway, they have a star rating system. You are initially given one star which only allows you the $100 a week (I've heard some say $92?). To increase your star rating, I believe that you can either complete a successful transaction (EFT), and/or send in ID documents to them. It's been a while since I looked at their site. If you go to the Click2Pay site, I think it's listed under the FAQ section. But this is what I mean about their poor CS, they need people availabe to answer these questions for people. Not sure if that helps, let us know what you find out.

This is the only post I saw on it and I did read the entire thing. Anything prior to what date ? the date she posted or maybe the date on her check. Hubby went and deposited mine this afternoon. The teller said it would about three days so I guess I'll find out all I need to know then won't I.

Well, that's sort of what I meant. If it's already been issued, my understanding was that it would be honoured. You received it on Wednesday, the 17th? Which means it was issued probably two days before that? You should be fine.

I just rec'vd a withrawal for $900 via Western Union. The casino e-mailed me
with the name of a women (the sender) and a transaction number. I went to the local grocery stores Western Union window with trepidation thinking of all the cockamamy stories I could use if asked what the transaction was about. (Urr, uhh, I sold some cats, yea thats it, very expensive cats to a lady from Costa Rica).:p No questions were asked at all. Only $12.00 fee deducted from the $900 requested so $882.00 in hand. I have never deposited via WU but the withdrawal was easy.
