Is it just me, or is it near impossible to get into the bonuses for microgaming slots? I've tried hundreds and hundreds of spins just to try to get the bonus for deck the halls and break da bank, but have had no success.

Sure I've had good hits in some MG slots, but seems like RTG at least gives you more bonus games.

Well - I had last weekend a bloody good run, at several casinos RTG and MG. But now....this streak is completely over. There are always slots where I NEVER EVER get a bonus round - Break the bank - what a shitty slot. But some are always friendly. Shopping Tree II for example.

Deck the halls and Break da bank are probably the highest variance slots on MG. I would stay away from those and only do a few spins here and there on those.

Yeah Darkpixie is right (although I'd add Isis and Supe Em Up to that). Break Da Bank Again is a bitch to get the bonus on.

Check out KasinoKings website, slotbeaters.com on the probability of hitting the features in the various MG slots.

It is important to remember that slots varriance in general is very high. Therefor you can go hundreds and hundreds of spins without hitting anything, and you can also have streaks were they come much ofter then "normal".

Tycoon, I notice you are a US player and I think there has been a change in how the MG games play now compared to right after the migration. When I first played the US MG, it was loose, cashed out $800 on the first session, was getting free spins, bonus rounds like crazy. Since then could only get the small wins that keep you playing a bit longer, with none to rare free spins and bonus rounds. Then they added the rest of the games we had before the migration and I couldn't and haven't been able to hit anything.

It is my opinion that the RTP has been seriously adjusted since the rest of the games have been added. Maybe they are trying to find a comfortable middle ground for them and us, I don't know, but I am certainly feeling like I'm playing at RTG rather than MG anymore.

So if it keeps up, US MG will be kicked to the curb as I had done with RTG. But I probably haven't played the US MG as much as some people, so my experience may be unique.

I honestly think thats true. As I was playing, I was wondering about how they keep making money with such a small US customer base..

Hell, I made most my money from blackjack games than slots

I agree. I have actually done very well on Microgaming since the migration....but most of this is from blackjack and videopoker. The slots have been tight as hell for the past 2 years. I love Break da Bank Again and Deck the Halls....play them all the time....and bonus rounds are very rare. I used to play Centre Court all the time as well.....and at one point went over 1500 spins without seeing the bonus round.

So yeah, I would say bonus rounds at RTG slots are much more frequent...and tend to pay better. Alot of talk has been going around for the last year about RTGs RTP and about how poor the slots have been paying out. However, this year so far and last year are the only 2 years where I have had a profit playing RTG.

I guess its all just random:)

Oh for sure. I might have to go back to RTG soon.

And yeah, blackjack is pretty fair on MG *knock on wood*

Ever play the high streak BJ? Just earlier I bet $35 on the side bet to get the $35, $70, $175 and $350 streak wins :D

I agree with you on Centre Court. I play that game all the time ever since its release, and 200 spins without a feauture used to be exceptional.
My last session at GoWild I went over 1200 spins, no feauture.
Not in one go, did 300 spins, changed games, won some on another game, did another 300, and so on.
The session before that one went the same, also about 700-800 spins, no tennisballs to be seen anywhere.
I used to say the game is low/medium variance, now its high variance.

Still tend to believe its a run of bad luck, the game has been very good to me in the first year, now its taking the money back..:(

BDBA has always been a bitch, I love that game, but don't chase anything on it, or it will eat you alive.
Just play 100-200 spins on it and hope you get lucky, if not, quit.
Got 4 valves yesterday for 20 free spins, got another 12 during free spins, 32 free spins total, paid 5x bet because of 2xJ + wild on the last spin.
But if it hits, its usually cashouttime!;)

What a fantastic interesting thread. I have been gambling on nothing but MG sites since the day online gambling was born. I recently ( 1 year ago) started playing RTG casino and loved the change of pace in games it had to offer. Here is my experience on slots with microgaming and RTG, would love to see others lists like mine and compare notes

MG most frequent bonus features for me :

1) Spring Break/Thunderstruck
2) Ladies Night
3) Centre Court ( I hammered this game for a straight month and Riverbelle recently took it off. Got 5 tennis balls 2 times in one night.
4) Reel Strike ( Forgot about this one, this should be ahead of ladies night.
5) Tomb Raider ( Only because it has 2 featured I had to put this here )

Worst feature bonus games

1) I agree with a couple of you above, Break The Bank is god awful, takes a god damn miracle to hit the bonus round.
2) Isis. Great game when you do hit it but too few and far between
3) Wheel of wealth and Lucky Charmer ( for 3 bucks a pull lucky charmer feature rarely comes up, complete joke.)

RTG Best features and most frequent ( once again my opinion)

1) T-Rex/Tritons Treasure/Lucky Last These 3 are all a tie for me, love all 3 of these games
2) Golden Lotus. Only aggravating thing is you never seem to pick that damn 100X bet and its there about 80% of the time. I have only hit it twice
3) Derby Dollars. Frequent bonus rounds

RTG WORST for rarely getting the features

1) Green Light. This game is a tragedy, How anyone can win on a consistant basis on this game is beyond me.
2) Golden Retriever. When the seas part and you finally DO manage to get the bonus round, you win about 5 bucks and that smelly stinky mangy dog digs up a 2 or 3X multiplier every time.
3) Hillbillies/year of fortune/triple twister. All 3 of these games should be banned period

Thanks for the feedback. I might have to play some of the games you mentioned for MG.

But then again, maybe its time I go back to RTG.

Quite strange to read all these...I too have played MG games since I've played online and even though my foray into them are rare these days, I still do play them, albeit at just one casino now.

Ladies Nite, for example, was one game I used to play all the time, hitting lots of features but it does seem to have changed. So much so that I won't play it any more, simply because the features seem so few and far between. In fact, blacklabrodor's post mentions 5 MG games I have little or no luck on regarding frequency of bonus rounds, strange isn't it?

Without any doubt, for me, 'Twister' has been the best paying and most frequent bonus round hitting over many years now. I've had some unbelievable streaks on that slot, and Katmandu has been another great slot for me. yesterday I was down to £1.89 so thought I'd try 25 spins on Katmando (@9p per spin), even though I'd had a great win/s on that slot during my previous session a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, cutting a long story short, I got up to £40, tried Twister again, won there, hit on a few other slots and in the end I cashed out £1,100 :)

I find it strange how some people will mention 5 different MG slots as their best paying one's as well as being the most frequent hitting bonus rounds, yet the next person (me) has never had much luck at all at the same five slots - and this over a ten year period!

Very interesting indeed. Timing is everything when it comes to slots. The twister slot i was referring to though is triple twister on RTG, is that the one you hit? I know MG has some kind of tornado slot too so just wondering. Congrats on the win! I am still looking for someone that has won something decent on that green light RTG slot, THAT would be shocking.

As for Katmandu, my father loves that machine, he has had some nice hits on it.

MG

Days of the Tzar pops a bonus feature for me often enough.
Sure Win comes to mind... These are off the top of my head.
The Osbournes has 3 bonus features. I get one or two of those most times I play it.

RTG

Diamond Dozen. Two bonus features. White diamonds are easier to get than free spins (blue diamonds) and usually pay just as much anyway.
Victory gives me a free spin most times.
Mermaid Queen is a little more generous with free spins than some games too.

I don't think these are the best if you want that big payout but if I'm looking to stretch my deposit I'll try these usually.

RTG best for me

Warlock Spell
Tigers Treasure
T-Rex (but this could also be in worst)
Lucky Last is a great "newer" (is that a word?) game

Worst for me

That other newer game that came out with Lucky Last
Any of the Santa ones
T-rex

Middle of the road

Penguin Power
Paradise Dreams
Crystal Waters

MG

I really only play a few games, all the 9 liners, (ladies night/thunderstruck/summertime/spring break/tally ho, but now can only play Summer Time and Ladies Night.

They are about even.

Tiger Treasures? Really? Is that the one where the symbols change and 3 roses get you free spins? I have no patience to wait for the symbols to change. I keep clicking spin while they change.

No, not sure which game that is.

Tiger Treasure is the one that the paylines go backwards too. I don't know how to explain it. You have to get 3 blue chinese symbols in either the first 3 reels or last 3 reels, they can't be in reels 1,3,5.

The tigers aren't expanding, but sometimes you get rows of them in the bonus round which pays nicely, especially with a red diamond. :D

I would put up a quick screenshot, but they don't work for me anymore. :(

nah, thats Treasure Chamber.

btw, i hate Diamond Dozen, Sure Win and The Osbournes slot.

I only play Diamond Dozen if I have enough money to do $1 spins, it's not worth it to me otherwise. For me it doesn't pay well enough with under $1 spin. Don't you hate it when you get the white diamonds and get a 1 under it.

My list of best RTG slots...
Incan Goddess
Honey to the Bee
T-Rex

Worst RTG...
Cleopatra's Gold
Achilles
Aladdin
Prince of Sherwood Forest

Best MG...
Kathmandu
Frankencash
Witch Doctor
Kung Fu Monkey

Worst MG...
Break the bank again
Supe It Up (although, if you are lucky enough to get a bonus spins, the 6X payout can make a decent win)
Polar bash (I've had sessions where 400 - 500 spins with no free spin/ bonus sessions)

I like to play a variety of games on both platforms. I have to say, the few times I have been able to play at All Slots USA, the slots have been extremely tight (might go 5,6,7 spins before you hit a pay line of 1/3 the bet amount). And I finally had a good month last month with RTG (had 3 decent withdrawals, first time in about 7 months), but this month I'm back to playing at a money pit.

I would call that decent, question is...........did u cash it out?
I see you were playing for $5 a spin, that could get brutal on a cold machine with no bonus rounds.
No, I didn't. :(
It was Christmas 2008 and in a moment of insanity I took a 400% PHANTOM bonus on a $500 deposit - so I started playing with $2,500 facing a ludicrous $50,000 WR! Hence the "High-Rolling" spins.
Did get over $1,000 up at one point (as you can see in that screenshot), but finally (in FEBRUARY) my bank dwindled away to $Zero just $425 short of half-way through the wagering.

Still, in the same month I took a 125% Phantom bonus on a $200 deposit at Irish Luck and cashed out $2,550 - so it was all good!
