Announcement Meister Meeting 2019 - all members are invited

No no, it's not that expensive. I've been there three times and with a good hotel it was around $1000-1500 for four days each time.

It was just from a 5 min Google search of "cost of trip to London", but I will search more about it if a 7k win comes soon enough. :D
But for a first time trip I want to make the best of it.

You don't have to stay at the Savoy or Ritz mate. You can always slum it with the rest of us at the Strand Palace or Travelodge...:D

Good you can explain the difference between random and compensated ;)
Well the CM Casino Of The Year award is random and the AG one's compensated - literally.

Will probably actually come this year seeing as its about 20 mins from where I live. Anyone else living in London/home counties coming?

If I make it and it comes to the worst scenario I always have room in my car for a sleep over... Be cheaper than any hotel in London and I charge in Euros... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Have you seen the prices for parking in London? Probably cheaper to slum it in a cheap hotel!!!

I'm not going to London this year, need to put my focus on Dutch regulations :)

But all of those who are going: Have fun!

I am 5k short ATM (cost for 2 for 3 days first time in London, flights and all) but if I would love to come (if I win more than 10k this month :D).
Where are you coming from - the moon???

If you're in the EU you should easily do it under 2K - possibly under 1K if you stay in a cheaper hotel further out from the city-centre and fly Ryanair!

He wants to enjoy his trip though.

If you want the on a budget try the ones near the Dockland Light Railway stations like the Prince Regent Hotel. Youll get if for under £50 a night if your lucky and they are quite quick to west end (change at canary wharf/bank).

Ok, ok, did a better search now (15min) and I think it can see prices from 500 for 2 for 4 days (flight + stay). Add transportation, food and tours/entance fees, I guess 2k is enough to pay my xmas comp prizes and do the trip. :)

Problem is I should cover other things first, before I can consider a trip. So a 7k - 10k win is kind of necessary ATM.

Random is what slots must be online.
Compensated is what some people think slots are online.

Simples :)

To anyone contemplating coming but not being quite sure yet: as dunny said, it is most worthwhile! Bummed i can't spare the funds to come this year, or i definitely would come..
The atmosphere was great, the people are amazing, and the afterparty is likely even better :D

The CM team really consists of a bunch of awesome folks..and the members and Casino people that attended, were similarly awesome, at least the ones i met..
You'd be a fool to not go, as aside from the joy of meeting them, the food and drinks were also amazing!

Hope that draws some of you over the bridge :p

Stay at the Travelodge, you don't have to worry about food - stuffing your face every morning on their breakfast, should get you through the day..
I'd say if you have a little budget to spare, hold off on one or two deposits, and get yer arse over to Waxy's

I'm planning to be there for my 3rd Meister Meet in a row. Well worth the effort and its great to meet everyone, always a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Highly recommended!

Chris
