Lord of the Rings

Isn't it suppose to be a third version of that game coming?
When was that suppose to be reliesed, and wouldn't that mean that this Lotr would disappear like the first one did?
I have such a weak memory so maybe that was just a dream too;)

umm...no ;)

They changed it, when they decided to connect it to Mega Moolah jackpot, and that's it.
All you need is to hit the jackpot (ya right), or have Gollum come out, and turn the 3 middle reels into wilds, during freespins, to get a good hit (Sounds easy, eh ? I've done it a few times tho) )

Okey, then it was just a dream. I have a lot of those.
When it comes to Lotr my highest dream is to get the old one back:(

Classic example of a slot being messed around with and the players not being given any information about it.

The new LOTR runs a lot tighter than the old one, which is fair enough because it's got the progressives on there now - but what was the RTP before? What is the RTP now? And how is that RTP split between the base game and the progressive contribution?

I really do wish MG would release this sort of information, it's not like we're talking about state secrets or anything.

When the original Mega Moolah came out, it was possible to work out that the base game was a mere 88% RTP, with a considerable chunk going into the progressive pools to make the net RTP close to the 95% expected as the average for MGS slots. It is harder to work out for the later variants, but surely it is reasonable to assume that since they are all linked, the same 88%/7% ratio is used to reach 95%.

I don't think it's reasonable to assume anything when it comes to online slot machines, I want to see the numbers - especially when it comes to an organisation as opaque as MG.

'95% RTP for everything' simply doesn't work as far as I'm concerned, far too little information spread across far too many games and particularly 'classes' of games (you can't just lump progressives and AWPs and everything else into an overarching 'slots' category IMO).

If 3Dice can do their Zeitgeist page, and Jackpot Party can include a specific base game/progressive RTP split on all their slots on the paytable, and Galewind can offer up a detailed numerical breakdown of all their games - I have precious little patience for software providers that aren't prepared to make the same efforts to be transparent in their operation.

(I haven't included Playtech/RTG in the above analysis as they've never really been on my radar anyway, IGT I'm losing patience with due to their RTP 'ranges' whereby I have to ask individual casinos which maths model they've chosen, and I think I'm long overdue to give the likes of NetEnt a try as they seem to be one of the more forthright platform providers.)

Simmo had some "inside info" on the RTPs of some MG games - why not PM him & see if he knows the facts & figures for this one?
