Spammer! Let's Help stop the spam together - like this:

Hi Dunover,

CR is not me....Lucky247's my brand - not much I can do about others! :)

Thanks,

Sacha

Sorry. My mistake, we get bombarded left, right and centre and the source is often disguised. :o

It's been quiet for Lucky 24/7 spam for a bit, but since Sacha actually seems to care:

lucky247.com/landing-pc/free-spins-offer?btag=654624_154519BEC0B64E758472368C2B534579

and from Betway.es as well, but I didn't see a tag after I clicked the link.

I think both are associated though, as both are headed "Summertime offer". Not for me unfortunately.

I agree - I have not had lucky247 spam for a while now, and Sacha may have used my links and those of others on this thread to identify us and remove us from the affiliate list. A small victory and thanks Sacha.
The spam I get is almost exclusively Cassava crap from 888.com, jackpot city and Casino Rewards. Unfortunately they either don't have reps on here or the reps pay no attention, so the deluge continues. But again kudos to Sacha for stemming the tide.

It would appear that shutting down the affiliate accounts DOES put a stop to the spam, even if not straight away. It proves that spam for some groups continues because there is still money in it. Shut off the money, and the spam withers and dies in a couple of weeks.

If other reputable casino groups took the same robust action, spam as a whole would decrease.

I am wondering if these other groups have the same "big business attitude" as Tesco, who recently said that whilst there was a strong moral case for them to act over alcohol promotions, they were not prepared to act until parliament passed a law to MAKE them act. At the same time, we have business bodies moaning about all this "red tape", and that they should be left to exercise their own common sense and moral judgement, rather than be burdened by ever more regulations.

Perhaps groups like 888 are sitting back until there is some "red tape" that makes them act against the spam. It's a bad idea, because this leads to calls for ever more regulation because business can't be trusted to do the right thing without it. In the end, it means businesses have to do the right thing in the end, but because of the "red tape", it's much more expensive for them than it would have been had they acted without the need for the big stick of government.

Sacha's not just getting us removed from the lists, he's taking quite a hard line those affiliates who spam and closing their accounts without giving them even a warning first. Which is AWESOME! Of course, they're like cockroaches, just when you think you've got them all, the eggs hatch and you get a whole swarm more.

Now Red Flush spam ahs started....

I've never had Red Thrush issues until today, whereby I get this little gem! Although it's not from Major Tom himself, the spam is Red thrush from 'tom' a suitable alias...

Casino Rewards at it again (casinoclassic)... but im gobsmacked it is isnt direct from them.

This gist of it was blah blah blah, we will lie to you, you have won in our fictional prize draw, come and claim £500, well done for winning (*small print* We are lying and actually want you to give us £500)

Whats interesting is it shows a list of prize draw winners and then has:

"Your Name is Here! €£$500"

Since they don't even have my name i'm guessing they didnt buy my details from a casino I played at previously.

Email link directs to:

hxxp://lmkfyqabrh.casino-joy.org/link2.php

Unsubscribe link at bottom is:

hxxp://lmkfyqabrh.casino-joy.org/unsubscribe.html

I guarantee that unsubscribe link is a fake, clicking that will sign you up for loads more spam.

Oh and I did some research with a whois check:

Registrant Name:Cat
Registrant Organization:Cat Morrison
Registrant Street1:Gocher Strasse
Registrant Street2:
Registrant Street3:
Registrant City:Host
Registrant State/Province:Nordrhein-Westfalen
Registrant Postal Code:5373463
Registrant Phone:+49.555555555 (hmmmm clearly fake)

Registrant Email: catherinemorris80(at)yahoo.com

And isn't this interesting:

"catherinemorris80(at)yahoo.com is associated with about 484 domains"

Seems like this little bitch has their fingers deep in the spam industry.

Edit: A google search shows that numerous fake casino domains he/she created have been reported for spam (including genuinewin.org, gambleaway.org, spinhere.org, casino4wealth.biz, vegas-great.biz). Not surprisingly none of the domains work so they are registered and used to spam people.

I'm having the same problem with an email that has the title "Attention <Name> A £200 Bonus Is Available", I received it no less than 10 times yesterday from what appears to be an affiliate of BetFreds.

I also keep getting one from Ladbrokes titled "Ladbrokes Festive £50 Offer", again from an affiliate of theirs.

Getting right on my moobs.

here's a first - 32red spam!!!

They can kiss that affy account goodbye then, this is why 32Red spam is so rare;)

The problems above with this Cat Morris is that there is overwhelming evidence that this is spamming on an industrial scale, yet no action appears to have been taken to discourage it. If you complain to CR, they just tell you to unsubscribe, but in cases like this it can make matters even worse.

Hi sparkz thanks for that one just a word - take the 'http' out of the link so it's dead, the reps who read this know to add it so they can check it. Don't leave live spam links in CM as they could appear in search engines and help the spammer.:)

Oops, sorry about that, my bad. I did on my other spam link post, totally forgot with this.

and after a whois check on gamblefun.... guess what little bitch this is??? Yup, "Cat Morrison"

Great idea  but the majority of these spams come from organised spam groups, most likely using botnets for distribution. Apart from casinos like 32Red and such who I'm positive will close an account, I'm convinced the others, welcome the extra business. Then there is the 3'rd party marketing (err spammers) working for these casinos. It's a never ending battle and imo an exercise in wasting your time.

My email addresses are now using a 3'rd party spam cloud checking service. Since initializing this, my in-boxes are not polluted with casino spam or anything other spam either.

Yeah, I accept your point and we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg on this thread, but the genuine reps on here have closed affiliate accounts so it is a least having a small effect. Anything to reduce it, even slightly.

RE: Chillbill

It swings both ways. Maybe they will get some extra business, but they are also gaining a bad reputation and losing even more business.

Imagine being spammed daily by some scammer after a quick buck who is advertising the same casino in each spam mail with no way to unsubscribe etc... Even though the casino was not at fault, people will remember the emails and the casino name and completely avoid them.

Look at CasinoRewards... I don't gamble anymore but I would bet my entire bank account that they have lost a hell of a lot in deposits due to the spam that everyone seems to get with their names plastered all over it.

In general, if casino's will just sit back and let spammers earn from misleading people while damaging the casino's reputation, they deserve to go out of business.

Just look at lucky24/7... I have had so much spam from 1 of their spammers and while they may be doing something about it now, I and many other people will never ever play there due to the spamming bullcrap that has already happened. The trust has gone and they are dirt to me. However, dealing with the spammers now, means in the future other potential players won't be put off playing there and in the long term, the casino will make more cash

Lucky 247

Well, I for one would like to know where Lucky 247 is getting my information from! Just received a letter & promo card directly from them by snail mail. Not some affiliate but from Sean & the Lucky247 team. The reason I came right to CM's site is because Casinomeister's name is highlighted on the letter at the bottom and also on the promo card.

The mail comes from Nottingham, UK. I have never been spammed by them but I think this is much worse. I do not want unsolicited snail mail and I would like to know who they bought my name & address from. Should be a short list as I'm only registered with 2 groups.

I haven't received that particular one, but Lucky247 spam is now my most prolific crap-box filler, even beating Casino Rewards who despite having accredited status clearly don't give a flying f*ck about problem affiliates and I believe they tacitly endorse them. Second to Lucky247 this week is LuckyRed, but at least the reps for these 2 sites take some interest if the spamming if you send them the e-mail. But it isn't stopping it....

This seems very odd. Lucky247 spam even more of a problem than CR, yet Lucky247 appear to have an aggressive enforcement policy against the affiliates doing it. Something doesn't seem right here. Surely more aggressive enforcement should see less offending. 32Red are rarely the source of spam complaints, and they appear to take the issue very seriously, which is probably WHY they don't have a problem with spammy affiliates. Whatever 32Red are doing obviously works, so if Lucky247 did the same, they too could kill off almost all of the spam.

I am still seeing Lucky247 spam caught in the filters, along with the usual CR stuff, and the usual from the other less reputable sites that don't give a **** in any case.

If Lucky247 are closing offending affiliate accounts, the problem must lie elsewhere, such as it being too easy for banned spammers to simply replace their closed affiliate account by opening another. This opens the way for a business model for spammers of opening multiple "disposable" affiliate accounts, and going for broke in the first month or two in order to get as much traffic as they can before complaints lead to their accounts being shut down. This would not really work in a revenue share situation, but is ideal for CPA deals.
