This seems very odd. Lucky247 spam even more of a problem than CR, yet Lucky247 appear to have an aggressive enforcement policy against the affiliates doing it. Something doesn't seem right here. Surely more aggressive enforcement should see less offending. 32Red are rarely the source of spam complaints, and they appear to take the issue very seriously, which is probably WHY they don't have a problem with spammy affiliates. Whatever 32Red are doing obviously works, so if Lucky247 did the same, they too could kill off almost all of the spam.

I am still seeing Lucky247 spam caught in the filters, along with the usual CR stuff, and the usual from the other less reputable sites that don't give a **** in any case.

If Lucky247 are closing offending affiliate accounts, the problem must lie elsewhere, such as it being too easy for banned spammers to simply replace their closed affiliate account by opening another. This opens the way for a business model for spammers of opening multiple "disposable" affiliate accounts, and going for broke in the first month or two in order to get as much traffic as they can before complaints lead to their accounts being shut down. This would not really work in a revenue share situation, but is ideal for CPA deals.

Well the respective reps have given me an e-mail addy to forward the offending spam to. It seems they are playing bedknobs and broomsticks with them though.

Closing the accounts isn't working. There is a gaping hole elsewhere in your affiliate policing systems. Lucky247 spam is getting WORSE, even though you are aggressively closing accounts. You know you have a SERIOUS problem when people rate Lucky247 as more spammy than Casino Rewards.

Many other casinos, despite appearing to be less active at shutting down affiliates who spam, have less of a problem than Lucky247, so it seems the current policy of closing affiliate accounts linked to spam reports is not really working.

It is unfortunately exactly as you say. These guys come in under false pretenses, and then start spamming.

We have had similar issues with other guys, whose accounts we have closed.

While we value affiliates' anonymity and I might get flak for this, the matter of not sharing information should only apply to valid and trustworthy businesses.

So for the other casino operators reading this, the account was opened under the name: Ralph Miyoas.

Not sure how much this can/will achieve, but if we make it impossible for these guys to open affiliate accounts, maybe we can curb this trend.

If you represent a trusted casino and want further info regarding this account, I'll share - tired of these guys making us look bad!

This should make it fairly easy to stop banned affiliates from sneaking back in under the radar by opening a new account. It would only work if the banned affiliate were able to use different verifiable identities, so should be as hard as it is for players who try to get away with multiple accounts.

If affiliates are able to repeatedly circumvent your systems as they are clearly doing now, then your systems are also vulnerable to player fraud and money laundering schemes.

The sheer scale of this problem across a number of casinos suggests that "affiliate fraud" is endemic, and virtually impossible to effectively control with current measures. It does seem however, that some casino groups are SIGNIFICANTLY more adept than others at tackling this problem. This may mean that the more vulnerable programs are targeted selectively, making an already serious problem even worse.

Given that lucky247 are closing affiliate accounts almost as soon as they are reported, it seems odd that there is much money to be made from spamming. Surely, by the time payment falls due, the spammer has been reported, busted, and booted.

Surprised that google, facebook and searches on places like 192 for "Ralph Miyoas" brings up nothing.

Surely if it was a real name, there would be at least a few names popping up on these searches. I guarantee if everyone on this forum googled their name, results will come up. I think I remember reading somewhere that for nearly every person in the world, theres at least 5 others with the same first and last name.

I'm purely speculating but while this rogue affil may of used that name to make affil accounts at other casinos, it's funny that no searches for him brings up any result.

I reckon he/she knew their spamming intentions so either came up with some random name or added 1 or 2 letters to their real name so on both occasions, the name can not be found. So if caught out, the game won't be totally up.

While I admit, I am speculating but it's likely. It's already clear that these rogue spammers are not small time college student's who want to make £20 a week to buy some weed at the weekend.

The extent some of the spammers have gone to just shows this is a big operation (A few spammers mentioned in this thread for example have registered 300+ domain names, often used premium dns shield services which hides the details of the person who registered each domain and the nature of quite a few emails show the sender has made a huge effort to convince the recipient that the email is off someone who works high up in the casino and has personally authorised it).

The extent makes you wonder if the people behind this are part of criminal organisations who are putting their rogue affil payments towards funding offline illegal activity's.


If a player is up to no good, the casino will investigate, terminate accounts and even report them to the authorities. However most casino's just don't seem to give a stuff about rogue affil's.

It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that if someone has gone to this amount of effort, there's a high chance they are part of a crime ring.

I can't see how this Ralph Miyoas could gain from spamming as surely he would never see any affiliate payments since he has used a false name, and thus can't back it up with ID documents.

In order to make money, he has to be an expert on how the affiliate systems work, and how to bypass any checks in order to get the payments.

Given that the spammers are clever enough to represent themselves as a high ranking manager at the casino, the fall out for the casino could be even greater as regulation improves throughout the world. In the UK, Trading Standards may view this as the responsibility of the casino, and the usual excuse of "sorry, wasn't us, it's from a rogue affiliate" may no longer be enough when a player gets shafted and complains. The full force of the new UK regulations come in next year, so there isn't much time for the industry to "clean house" in order to avoid a run in with UK regulators.
