Leo vegas self exclusion problem

Hi I don't if anyone can advice me but am similarly in the same boat but this is slightly different I self excluded myself with GAMSTOP last week 31st may that includes leovegas and opened royal panda yesterday should I of been self excluded with them too as I managed to open an account. I am a problem gambler thank you.

I sent a message to the rep for Royal Panda for you. He have several posts about his casino in this thread that needs to be answered, and your case needs to be investigated.

Hi I just received an email from royal panda saying that I do not have an account with leovegas and that I need to contact leovegas but I self excluded myself via Gamstop so why would i need an account with them just to confirm my self exclusion ? Also they are saying that royal panda is not on gamstop so hence why I was able to open an account but they part of leovegas group? Where do i stand with this as it looks like I won't be getting my deposits back.

LeoVegas don't share a license with Royal Panda, and as RP aren't part of Gamstop I imagine it won't matter. As you don't have an account with LV, there would be no way of them knowing you have used Gamstop, therefore I don't see how they have done anything wrong.
Also don't see why the rep couldn't comment so have reported the thread for the rep being non responsive on the forum.

According to a query i had with the gambling commission: 'Whilst, it may be best practice for operators to apply a self-exclusion across all brands when they merge, they are not bound by the LCCP or the Gambling Act 2005 to do so. When two websites merge they do not have to apply self-exclusions in retrospect to the other sites prior to the two websites merging'.

I presume the above is like LV/RP: 'brands' but not under the same licence.

Just read the entire thread for the first time. My verdict: more EMSEB BS only the casino names are different.

Plus, I am just flabbergasted that players SE because they have a problem, showing they want to stop, but keep control of their debit/credit cards or other financial means which enables them to open a new account within seconds of the last SE. That is akin letting an alcoholic, who says he wants to stop, stay in a distillery!

When things go south then, they cry foul in any possible way to get their deposits back, however, we have not heard a single player that was actually in profit while playing under SE that returned the profit! ....just sayin'

Personally, I have some understanding for these cases as I too worked for years with addicts but it is waning, too many opportunists take up the "win-win" strategy.....SE, deposit, win, get paid - stay "schtumm" | SE, deposit, loose, cry foul and ask for your deposits back and please pronto! :(

IMO, any problem gambler doing just an SE is not serious about fighting his/her addiction. A lot more has to be done in their own responsibility, e.g. giving up control over cards and finances, joining a group, make a plan on how to fill the suddenly free time, etc.. As long as they only SE is is just like window-shopping, they will carry on playing, just at a different casino.

In conclusion - to the OP: good luck with getting your dosh back but if you really want to give up gambling then SE'ing here and there can only be a start.

I am just going to add to this, I have a similar thing with leovegas. I logged in to be told I was self excluded, because I had excluded years ago on 21.co.uk and they had merged.

Asked for my deposits back which they had wilfully accepted for the 3 months they were apparently the same brand, was told absolutely not. Would they have paid me had I won a jackpot in this period? Blatently not. It was only £90 I deposited but I asked more out of principle because the whole thing pi.... me off a bit to be honest.

Hi any updates royal panda/Leo Vegas rep taking a mighty long time to get back, I believe I have a good case regarding mine my self exclusion

I got my deposits back from exactly the same thing.

Just had to email
Back and forth and so on.

But eventually I got them back.

Just argued if they had merged why not close my account there and then?

Why still take my deposits.

Was sad to have my account closed but just the way it goes.
