Playskools "Digger the Dog" is at the top of the list of the 10 worst toys according to a local news station and W.A.T.C.H.!
The toy is recommended for ages 12 months and up, however W.A.T.C.H. says it's a danger. Attorney James Swartz says the toy has a pull cord that is 27-inches long. Swartz says "this type of toy sold for babies can just as easily end up in a crib and presents a serious strangulation harzard for a baby." Swartz says regulations call for pull cords to be only 12 inches long but this toy is being sold under a loophole. He says "this cord is more than twice that length and yet it's being sold and under the inadequate standards can be sold because it's called a pull toy as opposed as a crib toy".
I thought it only appropriate to post what we know or learn in order to keep our precious kids safe this year.
