Hi,
I think Blackjack favors the dealer than player....
bcoz The goal of each player is to beat the dealer by having the higher, unbusted hand. But if the player busts he loses, even if the dealer also busts therefore I feel Blackjack favors the dealer.
Tell your opinion Blackjack favors the dealer or Player?

i dont play BJ - but: its correct that player looses if he busts, on the other side the dealer must take at 16 and must not with 17 - player is allowed to do what he wants.
What do you think about the housedge?

and finally, there are a lot of threads about BJ in this forum, read them and i m sure they will help you.
do you know Be the dealer? Ive never visited the side- but if the name is not lying, you cann hoose to deal the cards there (if the are still alive and accept us)

Is this a trick question...? :eek2:

Blackjack, like every other casino game (except poker), has a house advantage. This means that the house - or dealer in this case - is expected to win in the long run. No betting strategy can overcome this edge. In short spurts you may win due to good luck, but your losing streaks will always out due your winning ones.

With a .5% house edge, you should expect to lose 1 betting unit every 200 hands played. This is assuming you use correct playing strategy. As long as you realize this and just play blackjack for the thrill of the gamble, you're good to go

Of course blackjack has a house advantage, that's why the casinos offer it.

Actually, the player in blackjack has a lot more flexibility in the rules. He can split, and double down, and even choose to stand with a stiff hand. Also, a natural 21 pays him 3 to 2.

The dealer on has one advantage, which you have already pointed out: if the player busts, and the dealer also busts, the player still loses. The fact that the player has to go first is responsible for the entirely of the house's advantage.

Why are people playing into his posts? Every single post he's made has had links to his site in them...that were subsequently removed.

Like most games BJ has a house edge, now this house edge depends on lots of factors. Like there are:

Number of decks of cards used: 1 2 4 5 6 8
Dealer hits or stands on a soft 17: stands hits
Player can double after a split: no yes
Player can double on: any first two cards 9-11 only 10-11 only

and many more.

If casinos arent carefull or dont know exactly what they are doing the house edge can turn into the player's favour.

I use this link to determine what a casino's BJ house edge is, and then I decide wether I play there or not.

Welcome Ronin!
Good first post you did here. You got a little reputation boost from me.

What is 3dice casino? I saw it in your profile. I have not heard of it and I can not see what software provider is behind it.

But let me guess, since you write you are a coder and also lives in belgium as does 3dice casino, maybe you are actually a coder for that casino provider?

Hi Zoozie,

tx for the warm welcome!

It seems you did your homework verywell :) . Yes in my daytime job I'm a
3D game artist/scripter. 3Dice.com is 1 of the projects Im participating in, by making prototypes for new games in 3D.

Besides my daytime job, is gaming in general my biggest hobby, I'm the proud teamleader of www.teamclick.org, a small gaming community that meets every day online to play whatever they desire at that moment.

Additionally by making casino software I grew an interest in gaming/gambling-entertainement. Yes I like to spin the slots or throw the dice at a crapstable too :) !
So over the years, I have come to learn alot about casino's, the gamerules, the maths involved, and most important, all the possible problems that can arise.

So by being on both ends of the spectrum as a player and creator of games, Im hoping to be of some service to the community.

One of the few exceptions is Boss Media single deck BJ, where the player has a slight advantage over the dealer with optimal strategy. The house edge is generally:

0.35 to 0.6% -- Standard Rules
0.35 to 0.4% -- With Late Surrender
-0.1 to 0.2% -- Single Deck

For someone who's occupation is "online game player" thats a worrying question. Hope you don't decide to become an aircraft pilot anytime soon!!!!

Anyway the answer to your question is that (as others have already said) BJ favours the dealer, and with basic strategy (google it) its under a 1% edge on a normal online game. Some games are better than others (Depends on rules, number of decks) and it is possible to find online BJ with a very small edge indeed.

Mimicking the dealer on the other hand will give the house a much larger edge and will result in getting the sack from your said occupation very quickly indeed

Did you try it by any chance :) ?

I plan to, I just wanted to make sure it was not one of the known crooked casino softwares, since I will not waste any time on them.

I will test the slots and Video-poker. I hope video-poker events comes from simulation a real deck of cards, and not from some slot-logic determining
win and then showing cards matching ? These kind of things do people take for granted, and I would also called it rigged if it were not, but some software providers do not do this. I could not find such a statement on the 3dice-site regarding card-games.

I can 100% assure you that the video-pokers are a simulation of a real deck.
I wasnt aware either of the importance of such a notice on the website.
Tx for pointing that out!

We are currently adding 2 videoslots also.
Enjoy!

Most experienced online gamblers are very suspicious when it comes to new casino software providers. You can check the 'evil' section for multiple examples of croocked software, some of these are maybe not intended (OddsOn, B3W) and some are deliberate.

I have downloaded 3dice and I am playing now. It is always fun to see now software.

The '3D'-look seems only to apply for the table games (roulette, blackjack etc.) and it does look good. The slots and VP has no '3D' whatsoever about them. Also there are only 3-reel slots. It almost looks like VP+slots were implemented 10 years ago while the table games are up-to-date.

About the VP: The VP games is too slow, you need to be able to play each hands two or three times as fast. The paytables seems standard (full pay) except for the RF at bet 5, which only gives 1250 for most (Dueces Wild etc.) and the full 4000 for others (Jacks or Better etc.). Is this an oversight?

But autohold/autoplay seems very good. It actually seems to be able to hold correct. I watched JoB a lot and maybe 50 hands at dueces wild. Also there is an amazing numbers of different VP games, very impressive. And it is a shame there is no multi-videopoker.

But keep up the good work!

In the settings menu (top left hand on your screen), there is a "change view" button. The VP machine is a near exact copy of the original IGT VP machine, like they were and some still are.

Also in the settings menu, you can change the speed of the games.

This is probably on oversight yes. Tx for pointing that out!

Multi videopoker, 1-, 5-, 10-, 15-, 25-, 50 hand is being tested as we speak.
Aswell are 2 videoslots.

I also look the full-view much better at the VP. So I recommend having this as
default and also increase the default card speed to next setting.

How is the autoheld implemented and is it really 'optimal' and adjusting to the
paytables? Like for now etc, where the RF does not have full pay. (this should be fixed fast btw., as I can not imagine most VP players want to play without
the RF bonus). I know it is far from trivial to implement a such and even harder
to make it perform.
