Hay everyone. I usually don't have a bitch about anyone,,,,BUT
I got a letter from Intertops late last month. It was an invitation to try their casino with a $25 no deposit bonus. The letter came with their casino cd.

I tried mid May to go to the web addy they said I HAD to use to get this bonus, and it just wouldn't go there. So I put it on the back burner,,,no biggie, it was just $25. I thought it would be fun, and since I've not played there before it would be a good chance to check them out. I even came on here and asked everyone if they were an OK place to play. (No I'm not trying to blame any of you):)

Well, today I decided, hay I got that letter, and I loaded the cd way back, so I'll try again. This time it sent me right to the addy and I put the user name they gave me and the temp password. Wouldn't go through. Said one of them was invalid. So I called them.

The lady said, "that bonus is expired". I said, "oh, the letter I have in my hand says it expires May 31, 2009." She said, "yes, but that bonus has expired. You might want to try our new casino where they are giving a match bonus."

Now ain't that a heck of a deal?! Just seems WRONG to me. Maybe I just don't understand the way of online casinos.? It's not the money, it's the principle of the matter. I have Never had anyone tell me something had expired before the due date. OK, so the milk I bought last week snuck up on me,,but the milk didn't send me a letter.

Any thoughts on this anyone?

Hello chiggerbyte, is there anyway you could scan that letter and upload it here for us to check out?

Chiggerbyte, can you also send a PM to the Intertops rep here on the forum, informing them of this thread, and your problem?

Just click on send a PRIVATE message in their profile. Here's the link:

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/

I'd also like to see the letter Rob.....good idea. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the new MG announcement re: Intertops? Maybe they could honour the promo in their RTG (Red) casino? Just a thought.

scan the letter

I can scan the letter (after I tape it back together). But I AM NOT a computer person. How do I upload the scan? And I suppose I should cover up my user and id they gave me?

LOL chiggerbyte, I did too...

Just scan and save it as a .jpg file on your desktop

Come back in here and click on the "Paper Clip" icon right above where you also see the font styles, sizes etc. etc. and you will be able to upload it from there.

Once you have uploaded then click on the paper clip again from your same post and select that file and it will automatically attach it here...hope that's not too confusing..:)

intertops letter is in 1 piece again

Hi
I got the letter taped back together,,as best I could. The people on TV make it look so easy! I scanned it, and saved it as a jpeg. It looks bad until you make it bigger on your screen. Problem is, I truly, honestly have NO IDEA how to get it here, or make it readable without making it big.
I'd be happy to send it to someones email that knows how. I appologise in advance for causing physical pain to those of you that know what you are doing. :) and can't believe I don't know html from (insert image). LOL

Oh, and I will send that message to the rep. Thanks for leading me through the dark on that one.
I didn't want to cause a stink, I just don't like it when people do wrong. How many others did they do the same thing to?

If you can send it right now Chigger, I'll be here for a few minutes. Email addy is pinababy69@hotmail.com

I'll keep an eye open.

LMAO Rob....seeing as we're both in stealth mode, I didn't know if you were still around. And then I was gonna PM her my addy, and came to the conclusion that it's simply NOT possible to receive any more penis enlarging spam in my inbox.

Is the letter for the GREEN or their new RED casino? I see you're from the USA, and USA players can't sign up for a new GREEN (MGS) account..

Lady, you might suggest to your employer they should get a calendar. Almost every promo says may be withdrawn by the casino at their discretion or something to that effect. Here in Canada, if you advertise something in print with an expiry date, you have an obligation to honour it until that coupon expiry date.

Online promos can be taken down. Snail mailers should be honoured. Most I get cost the sender over 2 euros to send to me, not including the cd or paper materials. Most of these bonuses do not give the player an edge over the house, just a somewhat less bad edge, or oftimes, a worse edge than a simple cash deposit.

Chances are, the OP really had a favour done to them. If the casino will not honour a printed promotion, do you not think they will pull every possible term out of their *cough* hats to deny your winnings?

Stinks, but I doubt you missed out on a really great deal. It's hard to lose entirely with a free chip, we get a chance for free. But the chance is slim usually (fair enough on the casino's part); why would a casino sabotage itself by alienating a customer they tried so hard to attract. JMO.

I also think they should honour it Jazzy, I just don't think they CAN honour it at their Green MG casino. MG's press release the other day stated they were severing ties with Intertops completely, who knows exactly when? But that's why I mentioned their RTG casino....I don't see why they can't honour their mailer at that site.

hay winbig

I read about that (no new accts) when I came on asking about Intertops,,right after I got the letter and cd in the mail.
BUT...THEY sent me the letter,, I'm in Oklahoma, and the letter said,"Intertops Casino is pleased to accept all players from Oklahoma and would like to welcome you with a $25 Free Bonus and a $100 match Up Bonus"

I'm sorry I can't remember the person's name that replied,,,I know I was never going to make anything out of the $25, but it was a 'chance' to check out the casino, and $25 of fun for a few minutes. Again, it was the principle of the thing.
I retired from a brick and mortar casino here, and I'll be damned if we Ever screwed people out of a promo we sent out,,and we sent out a LOT. The gaming board would have been ALL OVER US for something like this.

Anyway. I've vented way more than I intended. Originally just wanted to get it off my chest. Thanks to Everyone for listening to an old woman bitch and moan.:)

Well, since there's no bonus code listed and it says that it'll appear immediately (RTG can't do this), I assume it was for the GREEN casino, which was a royal **** up by their marketing department for sending it in the first place.

They should still honor it for their RED casino, anyways.

Yep, totally agree that they should honor it at the RED Casino but they did still accept players from this state as new sign-ups when they sent the letter. It even states that in the first paragraph.

Yes, but with the MG blocks, there's nothing they can do about it. Hell, they even blocked access to my GREEN account until I sent them proof that I wasn't in one of the banned states.

Agreed...:)

The CS lady also stated the wrong facts as well regarding the promotion as what she told the OP definitely does not match up to what the letter states.

That explains my block I guess. I now must reside in the Bluegrass state. So much for the initial security docs. I know, better hush my mouth;)

Looks like yet another case of incompetence. CS have no idea, so decide to bluff it, and insult this lady's intelligence by trying to convince her we are past May 30th 2009.

This was (in the letter) a PERSONAL OFFER, not a GENERAL one, so it CANNOT fall under the general rules of ending a promo at any time, well, not for a REPUTABLE business, anyway.

Intertops are in one HELL of a mess, and maybe they have instructed CS NOT to mention ANYTHING about imminent closure of the MG casinos, which in this case makes it impossible to give this lady the proper reason for not honouring the bonus, which is that MGS have stopped them.

I do not think this looks good for Intertops in a wider sense, MGS have made a pretty clear announcement that the relationship has been SEVERED, not adjusted, renegotiated, but SEVERED. WHY are they thus STILL sending out offer for the MGS casinos, without a word about any closure date, which would surely have been the subject of a communication between themselves and MGS. The MGS statement looked like it was MGS imposing the severing of the relationship because Intertops were going back into the US market, which they now have done through launching the RED casino.

I suspect a fiasco to be upcoming, when even NON US players suddenly find their MGS accounts locked, and having to wonder where their money is, even if briefly. If MGS themselves lock the MGS accounts, this might catch out players who have balances still present in the casino, as they may find they cannot move it out using Intertops banking because MGS have locked down the servers. This was the case when Casino Action was locked down by MGS - ALL movements between accounts, comps, and withdrawals were locked down, not just deposits.

Aren't we all missing the main point here?

The letter should have NEVER been mailed out to ANYONE that lives in the USA.

MGS hasn't allowed new USA players in months, not even those from the non-banned states.

Remember the Villento fiasco? They tried to start taking new USA players after the ban, and MGS gave them a smackdown.
