A controversial thread that is dealing with the problems of software being properly built and audited which made some members feel that the Accredited list could be improved.

Please post your suggestions here on how to improve the list - I'm open to all ideas; I'll listen to anything, but please keep it realistic. Thanks!

It seems like the currect tests to rng are not sufficient ways for casino to proof the integrity of their software.
This is specially complicated matter as the casino staff might not realise their software is rigged/malfunctioning.

Clearly if the accredited requirements are made too strict,
a lot of trustworthy casinos are going to end up dropping of the list
However this is not very appropriate solution as a lot of people are going to be left confused.

I propose you keep the current accredited casino list as it is,
and create a new higher tier or subcategy with new requirements in addition to the normal requirements of accredition.
If they pass the set of new requirements they would be promoted to the higher level.
This list would consist of accredited casinos that have had their casino software checked regularily by trusted 3rd party for any rigged or buggy software.

I don't think it needs to be improved, I think you just have to be careful who you allow/reinstate on it.

Clees brought up some good ideas.

Oh wait I thought of one improvement...under 32Red cons you said you couldn't really think of anything, so why are they rated at 9.5 and not a 10? :D If I got all my questions right on a test and the teacher said you got all your answer correct but I gave you a 95 instead of a 100 I would be pissed. :p

Many years ago my history teacher gave 90 marks to the top student (incidentally a good friend of mine)for doing very well in the final exams. Another student protested and said his paper deserved top marks though he achieved around 75 marks. The teacher was not amused but he revised this guy's score to 89 with a retort 'You shall never be better than that top student'. I liked that.

Bryan,

I understand that it's hard to make an accredited list without a real "watch dog" commission, something that would compare to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The actual online gaming world is a free-for-all, filled with bogus commissions and suspicious casino owners that won't even divulge their names.

Players need to understand that the accredited list is based on your opinion and your experience, and not a bulletproof "safe list". IMO there's no safe list, because there's no watch dog.

The only way to improve the accredited list would be to act yourself as a watch dog, knowing exactly who you're dealing with, how to contact them IRL, and to make sure that they are running fair games. That would require a lot of work and resources so I don't see it happening.

With that in mind, I think the actual formula is the best that you can provide in the circumstances.

My mother's standards were a bit too high.
I came home with an 80+ or something. "You couldnt' do better?" she asked.
I retook the test. Got 100%.
She's like "That's better".
Better??? I ca't GET higher! :D

Speaking of standards the SAT is one tough cookie. The Math part was easy but the English bit was real tough. I could manage TOEFL with ease but this one really.......

I suck at math; glad Canada doesn't have SATs ;)

er, sorry for the derail Bryan :D

I think you do a fine job Bryan, it's hard to police everyone.

The only thing I could think of was maybe the following. To be accredited the following takes place:

• Industry and Player Assurances
o RNG and/or software must be audited by a third party.

Maybe within the accredited section you could add a link to the casino, showing the casino is being tested such as 32Red provides. I'm thinking some won't provide this information, possibly they can't but the ones that do IMO should have a higher # rating within the list.

Link example:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Just a thought.. :)

A complex but necessary addition. Not so hard for the casino's to do relative tests on particular software's they use - The industry top guns have their houses in order it's the small fry that appears to be the problem, doing spot tests on the very few games that certain small software's provide should be compulsory, as these are the ones that slip under the radar and cause problems.

Being regulated/licenced is already a condition (mostly) but a little clarity that breaking the regulators rules and/or being disciplined by the regulator puts the accreditation at risk

A new comer

Hi guys,IT`s a new for me to see these forums and i like it.
Is it possible that from the need arised from your comments,I mean the huge need
of having a watch dog,is it possible that a new website should arise, making this target
his only aim and build a business strategy for it to be profitable?

I feel sily ,because it must have poped up in many of yours heads before, but, anyway,i put up with this idea to know what you think.
For example, how many of you guys would agree to pay 10$ per month for being a member of that kind of website.
OMG,while thinking of it more and more, i start to get the feelings its possible.

Non-saguway speaking,I have heard that all the Black Jack opperates by PlayTech are rigged- do you think its right?
And another one- Plex casino simply doesnt pay
For your attention
Thanks

Most gambling forums are to inform and warn. When people have a problem they post it. we read it. Someone helps solve it. If it's something we think needs further need and or attention we pm max he then looks into it. So I really don't see the need to have to pay. Poker forums same way.

I call it my early alert system for the shit may hit the fan soon at certain casinos. :D

just a sugestion
may be if the rep is an active member and participate in forum discussions or not?
a kind of "very active" "less active"..... dont know how to explain better

There appears to be another case arising atm, relating to a Playtech slot that has different reel layouts in fun mode to that of real, if this pans out to be verified we are approaching dangerous waters, as even accredited casinos will have to be labelled with a warning..."But they cannot be guaranteed not to have weighted / rigged / misleading games".
