Ok, so I signed up to ibutler casino the other week and claimed a 20 free chip.

I had the time today to play it, I chose Rich Horrific slot and it's a really naff, almost exact copy of Scary Rich 1. (Rival software.)

Have I missed this, and it's already been posted at casinomeister? I'm pretty sure there was an ibutler thread.

Not had a look at there other slots yet, wonder what else will pop up.

My god!
That's a BLATANT rip-off of the Rival slot - I wonder if Rival know about this?
I bet they don't or there could be some serious legal action heading iButler's way...

The software also seemed rigged, atleast to my experience, also my antivirus seems to think its malware but that might just be my norton.

Absolutely spot on KK. As much as I detest Rival, this is completely wrong, unless of course....whoever owns this IButler Casino has bought the rights to the software/this particular game. Maybe it's Rival in disguise?

I reported the thread to Bryan....perhaps he has more info, or can find out. Reminiscent of the Jackpot Heaven crackpots, who stole MG and RTG's games, and then made that ridiculous YouTube video, with the "cloaked" voice, threatening anyone who dared to comment on their sleaziness.

Sounds as if this might be a candidate for this year's Casinomeister awards...in the bad categories.

Edited to add that it appears the culprit is the Malta-based 36Gaming.

I apologise to the person/s that reported my post above for any offense I may have caused.

Actually no one reported it, I saw it when I was browsing through the thread and did the necessary. On behalf of the readership apology accepted, and thanks for keeping the peace.

I would strongly advise members to avoid depositing here, or even signing up for that matter. If they aren't fazed about stealing games, I doubt they would have too many scruples about selling your personal information.

I received some spam from them today. Let's hope its not a sign of things to come.

Ibutler has a rep here... He was VERY Keen to promote his product, even without Bryans permission - Bryan DID warn him.

It would be nice to respond to this thread as we are now discussing the platform they operate on...

I thought that name sounded familiar, it was a few months ago when he was 'advertising'.

Hello all,

We are sorry for our late reply, we didn't received any notification on this thread.

@Nifty29 we don't spam our customers, you received a newsletter from our marketing departement. If you find it annoying I strongly recommand to write an email to support in order to unsubscribe your email address.

Regarding to the similarity with Rival games, we don't have any connection with this company. We are using a different gaming platform and all our games are developped by us. You may find similarities between many other online gambling sites, and this is not a reason to believe that the games are stolen from one site or another.

Please feel free to email us on support@ibutlercasino.com if you have any questions.

Best regards
Sandra

You need to find some new developers then, if Rival do not come after your casino platform I would be very surprised. You may find similarities in games on different sites but you can not be claiming that here, so many slots are there to mimic Rivals.. The sooner they get onto this the better as the poor players are the ones losing out.

Its not just scary rich your ripping off, I am sure there's more + slots from other platforms, I couldn't be bothered going through them all as it was horrible to navigate.

Players would have to be mad to deposit into your casino.

Your games are blatant copies of Rival games....paytables and everything...just with your own symbols designed to be ALMOST the same as Rival.

I'm not a fan of Rival, but I hate content thieves and people who present me with crap and try to convince me it is chocolate a whole lot more.

The only defense you may have is that you don't realise your developers are ripping off games.....but then that's even more reason to avoid your casino if you can't see what every man and his dog can.

Unbelievable! Not all countries can enforce copyrights. I'll bet these guys are in a sneak hole where they can't be inconvenienced with legalities. Yes, I would advise avoiding this place by all means. If they will steal slot designs from others....they will steal from you!

lol @ similarities !!! You're surely kidding, right ?
Agree that players should stay FAR away from this place.

The funniest thing is, they couldn't even think of a new name. They just found a synonym for scary and swapped the word positions.

Rich Horrific is a terrible name to top it all off, Scary Rich at least makes sense.

Edited to add this link to Scary Rich: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/new-rival-slot-scary-rich-a-brief-review.21745/

I also found this: hxxp://forthdesignstudio.com/projects.html

If you click on an arrow on either side to look through their projects, you will see this and other Ibutler Casino slots. Forthdesign is located in Cyprus.

From their About Us page "Forthdesign is a professional design laboratory with people who love to design. It is that simple. We like controversy, we adore inspiration, we disgust mediocrity and hate the word “but”."

A little more than 'similar' I would say...

Absolute bollocks!

They are BLATANT rip-offs - there is no defence.
I hope Rival come down on you like a ton of hot bricks!

The biggest joke is this:
iButler Casino operates under License No. LGA/CL1/495/2008 on LGA/CL4/495/2008 issued by the Lotteries & Gaming Authority of Malta.

Now that's some due diligence

This is making writing up the Casinomeister Awards a piece of cake.

Better send the brief to Vinylweatherman Q.C. for legal analysis...

:D

If you must:D

Rival are based in Canada, but are a rather secretive foursome. Their brand is in decline. They have a good case, but do iButler actually have any money even if Rival went to Malta and won their case. It could be throwing good money after bad, and could also risk some of their operating "secrets" to be "outed" in court. iButler could simply pass the buck to Cyprus anyway, where their software developer lives, who in turn could blame the design studio.

In the other cases, such as Jackpots Heaven, it seems nothing made it to court. When busted, they just slipped away quietly in the night, probably to have another go later.

The biggest embarrassment is that iButler managed to slip one past Malta, and by implicaton one past the UK Gambling Commission, who have decreed Malta to be a reliable licensing jurisdiction based on trust that they will adhere to EU standards when issuing licenses.

It seems Malta are not happy at the prospect of missing out on an award this year after getting one for the last two, so have yanked this one out of the hat just as the awards are being considered.

"new" LGA seem no more competent than the original bunch.

It may have taken so long to bust them because it took so long for a member here to actually pluck up the nerve to register and play, and even then it was a free chip. They must have had a slow start, so back to my original thoughts that they probably don't have the money to make any legal action by Rival worth the bother, other than perhaps to get a "cease and desist" injunction over the software.
