I won but I'm worried

Hey fellow gamblers! I've been lucky lately at Golden Casino but I'm starting to think that my winnings are too good to be true. I've received a couple of checks from Golden Casino and they've cleared (it's been three weeks since I deposited them) but I'm worried that something will happen and I will have to repay the money back. All seems good now but I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Do any of you know if anything will happen if those checks turn out to be bad -- I would think that they are good because the money is in my bank account. Any feedback about this or Golden Casino would be greatly appreciated. I hesitate to spend any of the money because I still think it's too good to be true! Thanks.

I have no knowledge of this casino, but I would think that if 3 weeks have already gone by -- that the cleared checks are in fact "cleared" and you should be good to go.

If you're talking about Golden Lounge (MG) casino then you've got nothing to worry about - they were bought by 32Red Plc and they're pretty well the safest and best casino group you could deal with.

Golden Casino is a Vegas Technology casino in the rogue pit here at CM. https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...warning-golden-casino-goldencasino-com.22877/

Now this was a few years ago, but if the checks were drawn on a US bank I'd still try to sit tight for 3 more weeks, I've heard stories of checks bouncing as late as that. After that, I think you can consider yourself in the clear and find somewhere to play a little less dodgy.

Just check out CM's accredited list, there's lots of good ones listed!

From what i know the vegas tech version of golden casino has been closed a long time. You sure its golden casino?

They are open still! They just changed there web address and stop taking new US customers some time back! And yes they had gone rogue before doing this, but that may have changed...

From what i remember it was goldencasino , then changed to newgoldencasino , then was sold . But i just checked and it does seem like the sites are still up.

Strange,

900 (op) get the rest of your checks and wait a while 45 days or so and be sure they clear before you play again. From what i recall it can take up to 45 days for a check to really clear.

I Thought once funds clear and are available thats good to go
write a cash out check and put the money in a different bank ,you know banks are supposed to do some work ;) for there fees and thats to make shure all balances and such are good to go

Call me an old cynic :)rolleyes:) but that first post looked a bit shilly to me - the way the casino name was dropped in 3 times, but if that was the case it back-fired because the thread revealed they are a rogue outfit!

900, if you are a genuine player I apologise for the above sentence, congratulate you on your win, and advise you not to worry about the money you have received - once it is in your bank they can't touch it.

Any cheque I deposit in my bank is only subject to a two week hold. That's normally enough time for a cheque to clear.

A friend's dad got scammed when he sold his boat. The cheque supposed cleared, and he let the boat leave his house. It was about 3 weeks after that when it turned out the cheque was fraudulent. A business might not see their bank statement until as much as 4 weeks after an instrument is withdrawn from their account, and by the time it's reviewed and the bank informed, and an investigation done, it's much longer than two weeks.

I think when dealing with known crooks it's best to err on the side of caution if spending the funds will leave your account overdrawn and subject to penalties. JMO.

I see a recent post here where a forum member who I'm confident is not a scammer has not had his donation to Spearmaster's fund from about 5 weeks ago not yet clear his bank.

Thanks for all the input regarding winnings!

Thanks to all of you for your input regarding my winnings from Golden Casino. And, no I am not a shill for "GC" although I have played at Golden Casino for 4 years now. They do not take US players anymore and I really thought I'd never win until four months ago when I won $900. It took about three weeks to get the check (there's a 72 hour hold - 9 days - and then it took a couple weeks to get it in the mail). It cleared and I have had no problems with my bank. I won $4000 a month ago and it took a little longer to get the check (4 weeks) and in fact, I got two checks -- one for $3,000 and another about a week later for $960 (there was a $40 express mail fee). They both cleared my account. Both checks were from the Royal Bank of Canada, New York Branch. I then won another $4000 on Jan. 22 and am waiting on the check(s). You may think that I am lucky, but consider that I have gambled at this casino for four years without any withdrawals of winnings. I think I will take one of the posts to heart and wait at least 45 days before I touch the money. Also, I appreciate the suggestion to take the money out of my bank and put it elsewhere one it clears. I did think that once the checks cleared and the money was in my account that I was home free but I guess that's not the case. How long can the authorities confiscate it if it's not legal? I'm still a bit bewildered and confused about these winnings. Again, the too good to be true thing! Thanks again for all your help! Hope you win a bundle!

congrats

wish i had your problem :p how to keep a good thing going?

now, let's see, what should i have for lunch...filet mignon or lobster...
