The casinos like Sluts Tragic and Co. that forbid deposits while withdrawals are pending use the double whammy. Admittedly that site usually only has a few hours' pending period but those that don't use the 'no deposit' as an insurance. As Chuchu said, the policy is bad.
It's bad enough having a pending period but to have one that doesn't (say like 32red does) allow just a partial reverse without affecting the countdown of the pending period is terrible. It's just a way of ensuring in your 'weakest period' after a win you must reverse the whole lot and not just a few quid - and that's what they want.
In soccer it's said "a team is at its most vulnerable when they've jut scored" and the casino knows the gambler is in the hours after they just won.
I think what Webczas alludes to i.e. the fact he considers it to be a RG issue too, is correct. I would love to see the UKGC lead the way by telling the casinos: "All deposits are final. Therefore all withdrawals should be."
But the casinos will just come up with the usual blather about "convenience for the player" utter
OR "Saves processing costs" - most charge for deposits or withdrawals so more
Kudos to the first casino or rep that comes here and admits what EVERY player here knows, and EVERY casino knows.
"WE MAKE A LOT OF DOSH BY USING PENDING PERIODS THAT WILL ENSURE A SIZEABLE PERCENTAGE OF OUR DEBTS ARE VOIDED BY WEAK PLAYERS."
90% of my budget goes to casinos with minutes-to-hours pending. The other 10% goes to the 32red sites, with a just-tolerable 24 hours. I vote with my cash.
