How reliable is AskGamblers

Living in Australia most casino's are out for us so its hard to visit ones that are top on Casinomeister. I always check the ones we can access through different forums and I've noticed AskGamblers is highly unreliable it seems when giving unbiased views. I get the impression AskGamblers has an affiliate deal with a few of the casino's.

I've seen a bunch of casino's that are blacklisted on most sites being recommended by AskGamblers.

I actually saw a review on thepokies.net which is a dodgy casino using pirated software and they have reputation for not paying... yet they are recommended. I generally only use casinomeister for getting unbiased and reliable information on which casino's to use/avoid.

Askgamblers has affiliate relationships with most casinos, that's the whole reason the site exists. The complaint system, forum and everything else is just extra, the goal of the site is to make moolah.

Casinomeister is a great resource as jono777 mentions but if there doesn't seem to be any posts, complaints or reviews on here then I'd recommend researching the site on as many sites as possible to get a broader idea and also to learn to identify astroturfed (fake) reviews.

Bear in mind virtually all casino information resources have affiliate relationships with the operators listed on their sites. To include Casinomeister.

Difference between Casinomeister and the vast majority of other sites is the fact we will tell you how it is. Additionally so will the forum membership :)

Since Bryan sold the site to Gentoo in June last year, we forum mods have basically been tasked with carrying on in the same role as we did so under Bryan's stewardship.

I can't add much to what everyone has said about AskGamblers, but in my experience, I have seen a few people arbitrate successfully with them. I don't know how to compare if the process is the same here, still a newbie, but I know for crypto cases people have asked and used them successfully.

It is worth bearing a couple things in mind:
  • full disclosure: as of July 2024 AskGamblers and Casinomeister have the same parent company. I can honestly say that the amount of communication between our two sites is remarkably sparse: we know they’re there doing their thing, they know we’re here doing ours, and not a lot more than that between us. I’m sure the sceptics will throw up their arms at that but seriously, find the proof, post it wherever you like. You’re going to have a tough go of it, I promise you.
  • each site has its own focus and its own mandate. As Webzcas has mentioned, ours is to protect and maintain the ethos that Bryan built Casinomeister on, namely “Fair Play for All”. We take that very seriously.

They're absolutely not reliable, in fact I'd even say that they purposefully side with some scam casinos and rip players off.
Look at the rating of these 4 scam casinos that scammed me and many countless other players that belong to these scammers L.C.S Limited, CW Marketing B.V., and Famagousta B.V. :
Svenplay 8.9 rating, Sonsofslots 9.1 rating, Campeonbet (always voted among casinos of the year by AG!!) 8.9 rating, Supacasi 8.1 rating and these are all AG's casino ratings, the players ratings are also high and were made through promos 2 years ago to inflate the ratings which can be classified as spam but they were also not deleted.

Now I'm saying all this because I'm sure that scam casinos like these with super inflated ratings get more than 90% of players through AG and their bad intentions. They also rejected all my complaints against them, and most of the resolved complaints are 99% favouring the casinos without any real justification. If you really want to make a smart choice, you need to check many different websites and read complaints very carefully. For example, Supacasi has 1.2/10 rating in Casino Guru which would have avoided me playing in this scam casino.

To be fair, this wasn't the experience as I stated above. I have seen several cases go with the players, where their proof and justification was legitimate...

Mostly people go to these forums when their withdrawals dont conclude as expected. In many of these cases players do not understand the bonus wagering or other account verification rules. However just like google reviews, casinos paying influencers to post positive reviews is a common marketing strategy.

Welcome to Casinomeister Jackmaster.

Yes, there is no denying that many review sites and influencers in ANY industry post positive reviews for advertisers who replenish them with $'s.

However, just to reiterate regards Casinomeister and Max's comment above which rings very true.

I do agree that they help especially with non affiliated casinos. But also they'll reject complaints of some specific scam casinos when it's clear the casino is in fault and only accept clear withdrawal issues that can be resolved easily, and even in these cases when the withdrawal issue becomes a confiscation issue, AG always sides with the casino without discussing the evidence or letting the player a chance to respond.
A few examples :

How both of these complaints are considered "resolved" is baffling.

I don't get how a casino/bookmaker can void a bet they accepted because you place multiple bets on the same event. Plenty of people do this. What is worse is that AskGamblers accepted this as their excuse and closed the matter. That's disgusting.
