Turning $1000 to $1.3 million is obviously extremely unlikely when playing a 21-type game. It is possible that he was very lucky, but there might also be a special technique, perhaps one that relates to Caribbean 21 now using 255 decks. Maybe they used few enough decks in the past to get a card counting advantage with the frequent splitting (can split any hand in Caribbean 21).</div>
