Some good racing to watch today, not so sure about betting though, but here goes.

In the Irish Champions (4.10L) I think Ghaiyyath might struggle today, and wouldn't be taking odds on about him. Obviously he's a good horse, but think Japan could beat him, certainly come second at worst. Ghaiyyath could win easily, but at around 1/2? Not for me. I'll decide nearer the time if to have a bet on the race and what to do. It will most likely be Japan and Sottsass in a RFC though if I do have a bet.

Onto the main bets, don't have much time, so no time to bore anyone with write ups why I think they have a chance

3.00D Molatham think this will easily win this, and the money has come for it this morning, 13/2 early, now best prices 4/1. Think it will be shorter at the off.

3.35D Santiago another I think will win. Frankie's had 4 winners from 12 runners so far at the meeting, and think this is his best chance of the day. 7/2.

1.50D Chindit 15/8

3.10D Peaceful, won the Irish 1000 G and think he has the best form going into this.

4.15T Atalanta Breeze should beat the rest of the donkeys in this race without too much trouble.

One to mention, 4.05B Walk on Walter, was 14's last night, now 6's, shame its only 6 runner or would have backed this before I saw the money.

Sad news, I thought he had recovered but reading the reports he relapsed this year.
Goes to show how short life really is, he was only 43 and was first diagnosed 2 years ago.
He rode many a winner for me, he and Dermot Weld were truly the kings of Galway for many a year and I’m sure many people will have good memories of winners he had for them.

9 times champion too without riding Aidan O'Briens horses at that period is some achievement!

The interesting one today is Daschas. Not in great form this season, but last year won this, and hold the record for the fastest time over the C&D. Obviously Blue De Vega will be hard to beat, but if any does, I think it will be this one. EW Single on it for me, small profit if second, better profit if wins.
