I have bets all over the place today what with freebies etc but I'll just post this one. I took Emissary at 33/1 earlier in the week and I have a suspicion that Worthily will get a placing too in the Derby.

I'm on The Met in the 240. Looking at Oasis Prince's form I can't see the attraction,but what do I know after your EW 50/1 selection last night? :P

My thoughts were....

He has won over C&D, he's ran well on ground with give in it. He's been running over 1 m 2f recently, when he hasn't done very well, but go back to when he was running over a mile, and he won or placed almost every time, he's running off a mark of 88 today, which is lower than he has for a while, and the same as he was on when he won over CD last year. Decent draw if they decide to try to make all with him.

Thats the theory, no doubt it will come last now I've explained all that haha.

A lot of my selections take into account the value too, if I think they are overpriced or not. Last nights for example, I thought he had a good chance of getting placed, a chance of winning, and thought 50/1 was ridiculously high, even the 28/1 SP was higher than I would have been comfortable laying. I had in my mind 16's as being around the right price for him, if he had been 12/1, he wouldn't have even got mentioned on here, not because he had less of a chance, but because I wouldn't have thought there was value in backing him at that price.

The two on here today, both 9/1, I think they should be 5/1 - 6/1, so theres value in them too, both I think have a chance of winning, but a strong chance of placing so worth a bet :D

had a decent day on the sports betting yesterday. horse tips from that guy and football bet I saw in the specials. Still can't believe that 2nd half! all 6 goals in 2nd half ( I told him to never discount Ac Milan)

Seems like this guy basically just tips anything that is a favourite.

And with the amount of his tips that are losing lol not sure i would be following him.
 
I'm quite liking the cut of today's racing. Its nice to see Frankie take time off the golf course and I suspect he will have a good day today but I have only taken one of his mounts at Newmarket

2.05MR Fiesole. Decent horse on his day and would have finished a lot closer last time out if not being hampered badly at the last. 14/1 EW (Skybet are 4 places)

3.00N Christopher Wood, the early prices have gone (partly due to the non runners) but still worth a couple of £ EW at Paddy Power, 5/1 with 4 places. Money back if placed, profit if wins :)

2.40MR Solomon Grey trainer / jockey do really well here, and possibly worth doing a small EW lucky 15 on the 4 runners today.

I had Caius Marcius marked out for the 2.05 but I bottled out of including it in my bets due to its huge odds

Yeah it finished very well. I don't often bottle out of backing horses I fancy at long odds EW. Kicking myself. If I had noticed the PP free bet in time I probably would have used that on it

Nice one. I never bet with Skybet so I can't help there but I'm pretty sure that Col will know
 
I wouldn't go wild, but if you get a free bet or fancy an interest in the race, then in the July Cup (3.35 Newmarket Saturday), I think Shine So Bright should outrun it's 40/1 odds (4 places with a few bookies).
He went off far too fast in his 7f race last week, but if he manages the same sectionals as he did then, then I think he will have a chance. His 6f time was around what you would expect a G2 6f race to be ran in, and while this is a G1, the ratings of the others show it isn't a very good one.
This is one of those bets where I think it has a chance, and if it was 10/1 I wouldn't mention it, but at 40/1 is worth a dabble EW.

So many horses in that race have no real form on soft ground, definitely worth an ew bet.
 
With that price it's always worth of few coins to give it a try if anyhow getting feeling it have chance to get placed, otherwise feeling bit stupid when seeing it win :) That £2.50 probably is still within @colinsunderland budget without wee need to have big worries about his gambling, few euros EW made too :)

Which bookie you guys would recommend for horses? Guess some UK one (they seem to most accept other players as well) who would have decent odds in general, some none UK ones which i been using for footie etc.. seem to be quite bad in odds comparison to many so could sign to some new place and get one KYC done.
