The inhumanity of having too much work on at weekends means that I have been missing all of the weekend sports lately. I hope that you two did well today?

Struggling to see anything that will beat Imphal in the 2.55, nor Air squadron and shrubland in the 3.05 and 4.45 respectively. Imphal will carry some of my money though, and if it wins, will stick a double on the others. Already been burnt by Platos Kode getting beat in a photo though![]()

I'll sort my bets out in the morning when there will be a better idea of the non runners
But here goes :-Nice start with Imphal but it seemed to have gone downhill from there on
I am looking forward to an uninterrupted Saturday of racing for a changeI'll sort my bets out in the morning when there will be a better idea of the non runners

I'm not sure why this Sa Bin Suroor trained nag is such a big price but I have taken Arabian Hope in the 240 at Newmarket at 33/1 as an EW single.

Yeah wasn't the best afternoon, still ended up with a small profit though as that was my strongest bet.
Couple of small bets for me today just for an interest, see if I can do my usual Saturday of picking loads and getting 1 placed
1.30NM Old Persian
1.40RE Rich Identity
1.50AS Waady
Small treble on those, with Waady the strongest.
2.05NM Marie of Lyon
2.35LI Not A Bad Oul Day
2.40NM Quemah
3.05FO Diable De Sivola
£1 Yankee
In the 2.40 Persuasive will be the favourite and on form alone should win, however the same could be said for his last 3 runs where he didn't win. I think he is likely to turn into one of those horses that should win most of his races but rarely does. That doesn't mean he won't win today but also means theres value elsewhere. Qemah makes the trip from France and is the only runner in the UK for trainer and jockey today. I would have preferred a little cut in the ground though. Ignore the last run as he ran poorly in the same race the previous year, there was a slow pace and I don't think the track suited. He prefers a fast pace, which he should get today.
Diable De Sivola ran extremely well in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham back in March (last run). Met loads of trouble in running and still only got beaten 6 lengths into 5th at odds of 33-1. He was running on at the end and the extra couple of furlongs today should play to his strengths. I would expect to see him dropped in out the back for most the race then start making his move about 2-3 furlongs out. If I'm by the computer I might have a small dabble in running, back at around 7 or 8 if he's dropped out like I expect, and lay back around 3.5 when he starts to make ground at the end, hopefully anyway. Only real concern is the break he's had but he has ran well after a break in the past so no reason he shouldn't do the same today.
Good luck with whatever you are backing today![]()
Checking his rides out I can see him getting at least a trebleI would guess that the French would be happy with the place prize money in that race with a hope of winning it? I was thinking that Sylvester De Sousa's decision to ride today at Redcar could be significant rather than at the two other big meetings and I was in two minds of sticking an EW Yankee on 4 of his rides there. But I have to draw the line somewhereChecking his rides out I can see him getting at least a treble

and this is why I don't like flat racing for betting purposes lol.
To try to recover my losses for today, in the 3.00, Blue Point is William Buicks only ride of the day, and his first back after injury, sticking £20 on @ 6/4, and thats it for the day, either just about break even or lose
Didn't realise it was Jimmy Fortune's last ride today, would be good if he went out on a winner (as long as he doesn't beat mine
Not A Bad Oul Day just won at Limerick.
I still have plenty of chances though. If I was watching AtTheRaces I would have had a punt on the Irish racing because I seem to have had most of my luck there in recent months. And I can't wait for the jumps to get seriously on their way as I find the jumps much more consistent
Rolling Maul is in the race tomorrow, well worth an EW, especially if any of the bookies go 6+ places. Currently 40-1, I wouldn't be laying him at 40-1 thats for sure!
Sois Gentil in the 2.50 today is fancied, but they don't know how good the favourite is, they think it will win as long as the favourite hasn't improved too much.

As it is, he will probably run at Chepstow after this race.
Oh dear. I have just taken Rolling Maul each way at 66/1 at PaddypowerI know the owner of Rolling Maul and know tomorrow's race has been the season long goal. I was told around 5 months ago this is what they were aiming for, but it depended how he did in his first few flat races. I'm massively up on him overall anyway, so win or lose tomorrow he doesn't owe me anything, but he is a very good horse and I know the owners will be very disappointed if they don't come away with some sort of prize. The fact his next race (if he hadn't got in tomorrow) would have been Cheltenham shows the high regard they hold him inAs it is, he will probably run at Chepstow after this race.
Skybet are going 8 places on the race, and he is currently 33-1 with them, obviously tomorrows race is higher quality than he usually runs in, but has won class 3 handicaps so a class 2 off bottom weight shouldn't be too far out his reach. There is a pretty big gamble going on on Lagostovegas at the moment though.
Ignore his last run, it was on heavy and he didn't like the ground, that won't be a problem tomorrow hopefully.
Obviously its taking a chance that the low weight gives him an edge over better horses in the race, but at the prices I think he's worth a few quid each way. I wouldn't put my house on him though, he's 33-1+ for a reason!![]()

Oh dear. I have just taken Rolling Maul each way at 66/1 at Paddypower![]()

I put a bet on Rolling Maul each way, too lolAfter 9pm so think Rolling Maul must have reached finishing line by now![]()

Good luck with those tomorrow Colin, I'm having a break this month, well apart from anything I really fancy, but even then I think I've only had a few bets this month plus what I've put on here, rather than every day.
The tip I posted just above is now 7/1 with Betfair![]()
I was actually going to post Miami Present up but got tied up and didn't even get a chance to back it myself, but it was the reason Sean was at Southwell yesterday.
. Will probably do some small rfc's and tricasts on the 3.In the 2.00 at Cheltenham Singlefarmpayment will surely be better than the rest of this field, and I will be backing him, but for EW then Perfect Candidate at 25/1 has to have a chance, he seems to either run really well round here or really bad so it is definately a gamble, but if he's on a going day then 25/1 is a big price. Probably do a small RFC with SFP too. I do think SFP will win this quite easily though.
In the 4.55 I really like Robbin'Hannon, only around 2/1, but I think he is more progressive than the favourite, and even though he wasn't massively impressive last time out, he should be fitter this time.
I like Cracking Destiny in the bumper at 5.30 , but as usual with bumpers the market needs watching closely, as long as one of the newcomers doesn't get a ton of money on them then think this should win quite easily.
In the 4.20 I backed Alcala last week and thought he was going to win, until he slipped up giving Finian's Oscar the race, will be hoping to get my money back today. Two Taffs is the obvious danger but don't think he will beat Alcala.
In the 3.10 I have no idea why Vaniteux is 20/1 but if I was a bookie I wouldn't be laying it at that price. Only thing that tempers confidence is the fact that David Pipe isn't exactly in the best of form at the moment.
The 3.45 is a race I thought I had sorted last night, Thomas Campbell and Del Arca being the 2, win and ew respectively, going against, for once, rolling maul. However, RM has been backed from around 25/1 into 12's. Unfortunately I can't get in touch with the person I know with connections to him, but usually when his horses get back they are expected to win. I will have to have a small EW bet on him now as if he wins I will be kicking myself for weeks after backing him so many times previously. Will probably do some small rfc's and tricasts on the 3.
Good luck whatever you are backing today

If you guys like horse racing try Hong Kong. We have got one of the best racing products in the world. Everything is done by the hong kong jockey club and our international race day on 10 Dec attracts the best horses worldwide from Australia, France, Japan, the USA and lots more. Champion mare Winx might come along for a tilt at 2400 metres. The races are beamed live to many countries and simulcast betting is available. Check it out at hkjc.com.

Winx is something else!
I restrict myself to either tv racing or attheraces tv and I never notice Hong Kong racing. It does not help that your 8 hours ahead of us in the UK so I could either be in the land of nod or working while the racing is on in Hong Kong![]()

I hope they did well for you?Well done...had chance to look at tomorrows racing.

15:10 Cornborough - Wetherby

I've gone with a ridiculous punt on long shots today on the ITV racing. Colin's Sister is a massive price for some reason despite improving massively last season.Jumps racing is getting decent again now, so doing an EW lucky 15 on the earlier races
1.15A Shanksforamillion, as long as the rain doesn't come I think this has an excellent chance of a place at least.
1.50A Cobra De Mai has been winning similar races to this by 20+ lengths. Think he should still be good enough to get a place here at least.
1.55DR Charlie Stout up in class but the softer the better for him. This race is better than he usually contests but still think he should get placed against these.
2.25A Theinval, can't see this being out the first 3, not too sure about the win as it seems not to like getting its head in front, but has ran well in better races than this previously.
Later in the card, can't see Poormans Hill getting beat in the 3.40DR and the volume of money in the 4.15DR on Rapid Escape suggests when I was told earlier in the week he would win easily, that the information was right, or at least more than me was told! Emerald Rocket in the 3.55 @ Newcastle should win again.
I also REALLY like Bristol De Mai in the 3.15, and in the 3.20 at Ayr, if there are no non runners, then I'll be having an EW bet on Gassin Golf, will be waiting to close to the off though as won't be if theres only 2 places.
Good luck with your bets today![]()

In the 10.19 I like World Approval and Senga in the 9.00 EW![]()
