Homeless dog gets rescued

It can make me very angry about us humans in general. So sad, people who abandon or mistreat their pets are heartless, and should be punishable by law!

Agreed. Unfortunately there will always be the odd idiot that sticks a firework to a cat or other horrendous acts, but these are only a small minority thank god.

I think the majority of most countries love their pets and class them as one of the family, we have 2 dogs, one of them we have had since I was 15, I'm now 28 and couldn't imagine not getting up one morning and her not being there, although that being said she is rather old now and that day will inevitably come.

Had to give up our dog last monday i was really upset. Mondays is my weekly day off work at UPS (United Parcel Service) instead of Saturday as im working full shift like that :)

He had been sick in the night time and my fiancee looked after him. Next morning after she left for work it was really hard for me seeing him laying in his dog basket looking so poorly....getting sick just typing this. I lifted him up and tried getting him to drink water from his water bowl but he just lay down next to it. Knew this was bad so called my fiancee at work and she came straight home and we took him straight to vet. Really shocking experience some of the worst ever tried. Getting told sorry but you will have to say goodbye now as we will give him injection in his heart in a moment.

Tomorrow is another Monday on my own really hard..... ;-(

It's your first dog? Ive seen some pets come and go and although it will always be sad when they die, you do get used to it in some way. And when they r really old, a small consolation can come from the fact that they are better off this way. For example when he/she cant stand on their legs nomore, its just the best thing to do for you and the animal.

Lol, I'm probably the most easy-going non-violent type there is. But I lose it when I see someone wail on a pet. Poor buggers will come to you to take a $hit-kicking and I've no problem jumping in and knocking someone out. I hate the mentality of 'I own it' - pets demand so little at the end of the day and give so much. My God, you just have to spend a minute to scratch their ears to make their day.

Two cats I've adopted, found left for dead - one years ago I found in a cigarette ash-can, couple weeks old, baking in 100 plus weather, all but dead (he grew up fine), and the maybe 6 week old I have now, I found out in the frost a few weeks back, also a strong lil terror, though still with breathing, wheezing, sneezing problems, but his chest gurgle went away.

@pass, sorry for your loss
