I still check out all of NLC's new releases over at their affiliates site, and I have bonus buys available to me as I'm not in the UK.
They're terrible, awful slots, clearly designed entirely around the bonus buys and specifically to funnel the player towards the most expensive ones, which have truly insane volatility. Their most recent game, 'ROAD RAGE' has a 666x bonus buy that I spent a day buying in demo play (I have a spare PC off to the side in my office that I can farm out such tasks to), I saw it return under 20x on several occasions, IIRC the lowest was 7x. Yes there were a few biggies in there but only as a multiplication of base stake, not actually as a multiple of 666x!
With a base stake of £1, the bonus buys were £666, and it'll tear through ten grand no problem.
They're such low effort too, NLC really are just churning them out now, even little details like on Road Rage, at the start of the bonus three cars go down a road and sometimes a special symbol will turn them around and they'll go back down the road, collecting more goodies. There's zero animation on the cars when they turn around, they just flip 180 degrees like would have happened back in the days of the 48K ZX Spectrum because they didn't have enough RAM to put in more frames of animation.
So your car goes from looking like this:

There's no animation on the car at all, it just flips on its axis and goes back down the road. Yeah it's only a little thing, but NLC have just asked you to cough up 666x for this feature, and they can't even be arsed to stick a few frames of animation in there. It's dire.
For my money the last great game they made was Punk Rocker, East Coast Vs West Coast wasn't terrible, other than that it's been a wall of shite IMO.
And to think this is the developer that gave us the wonderful, sublime slot that is Wixx.
Fall From Grace award goes to NLC.
